African Americans in New Jersey
editIn this edit, you added a list of places in New Jersey with significant African American populations, but this is an article about African Americans in New York City. By your logic, we would also add places on Long Island and in Westchester and Rockland Counties, at the very least, and the list would become unwieldy. If you think an article on African Americans in New Jersey is merited (and I have no doubt that it is), please feel free to create it. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:16, 18 September 2023 (UTC)

editHello, I'm Nagol0929. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, North Jersey, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Nagol0929 (talk) 15:23, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at North Jersey, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. Nagol0929 (talk) 15:26, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
- Union County is not in North Jersey, it's in Central Jersey. If you actually looked at a map then you would see it's located in the far northern central part of it. Stop reverting the edit back. ThatOneJerseyDude (talk) 15:28, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
- There is no "clear cut" definition of what constitutes "North Jersey". Your claim that it is not part of North Jersey, when the article has previously included it, represents your own opinion. You'll need to discuss the matter at the article's talk page to see if you can gain consensus for that opinion. (Be prepared to show sources discussing North Jersey that exclude Union County.) WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:31, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
Edit warring at North Jersey
editYour recent editing history at North Jersey shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. editDisputed fact
editIf you're going to mark a fact as disputed, it behooves you to discuss the matter at the article's talk page. Why do you dispute the fact? What evidence to you have to support your dispute? WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:07, 27 September 2023 (UTC)

editPlease stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at New Jersey, you may be blocked from editing. UtherSRG (talk) 15:08, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
- So, you were warned for adding unsourced content, so you restored the content, this time with a valid source (thanks for that!) but then removed the source with an edit summary saying Removing source for something thats already obvious. Just because it's obvious to you (perhaps because you live in the area), it's not obvious to anyone else who doesn't, which is why Wikipedia has verifiability guidelines. Please follow them. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:36, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
- No I removed the content and then readded it because the demographics said so. Maybe CHECK THE SOURCES, before removing any edits I make and assuming they're "not sourced". ThatOneJerseyDude (talk) 15:40, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
- That's not what the page history (and the specific diffs I provided) shows. And to clarify, I did not change any of these edits, I'm just asking about the sequence of events. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:44, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
- The only reason I readded it with a source was because it would supposedly get removed if I didnt provide a source
- But then again that dont matter because everything I add or remove doesnt have to have a citation next to it ThatOneJerseyDude (talk) 15:48, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
