So - thanks for your comment. Please advise on the difference between editing (revising, removing, adding text) and vandalism. Medusa123 02:33, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Forcing contributors to register and become a trackable part of the community is a form of censorship. No one can edit unless they've got their papers, huh? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.167.122.17 (talkcontribs)

....what? I'm not sure who you are, but let me say that Wikipedia does not force people to register to edit unless you wish to edit a protected article... and I don't see how it is exactly censorship - the only people who are denied approval are those who vandalize articles. ≈ The Haunted Angel 11:09, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

hello

Hi I have been a fan of yours for a long time. I just created an accout here and I hope you and I can be friends on here. Im Nevilledad but call me Neb. Nevilledad 18:27, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Sure, knock yourself out. ≈ The Haunted Angel 18:35, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Thank you. So can I come to you if I have any questions about Wikipedia? I have never been on here as a user before. Nevilledad 18:45, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Sure, I'd be glad to help out a new user. ≈ The Haunted Angel 18:52, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Ok thank you so much. How long have you been on Wikipedia? Nevilledad 19:00, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Since March 2006, I believe. ≈ The Haunted Angel 19:07, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Has it been fun? Any serious problems during your time on Wikpedia or has it been a smooth road. Nevilledad 19:12, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Nah it's been pretty smooth, no real problems - I enjoy editing Wikipedia a lot; someone (forget who) said somewhere on their User Page that Wikipedia may just be the single greatest thing mankind has collectivly done as a race, and as long as we maintain the articles, it can stay like that. Even though you do get mindless vandals (a fair few around the Cradle of Filth article I look after), part of the cause of Wikipedia is to keep them from these articles. ≈ The Haunted Angel 19:23, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Thats good. I agree with that statement as well. I have edited some as an IP but I finally decided to create me an accout of me own. Vandals seem to be plentifull though. Do you have any close friends on Wikipedia? Nevilledad 19:28, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Hmm, people I work with frequently are Cardinal Wurzel (Cradle of Filth articles), EVula, RobWill80 and Marphy Black (Mortal Kombat articles); they are the best people I know here. ≈ The Haunted Angel 19:31, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Thats good. Do you have any enemies on here as well? Nevilledad 19:36, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Nah, I try not to have "enemies". If there's someone I disagree with, it's either a simple difference of opinion, which wouldn't make them my enemy, or because they are a vandal, in which case they are defying Wikipedia itself, and so they get banned - not worthy of my time to call my "enemy". ≈ The Haunted Angel 19:39, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

I am also a Satanist like you so I feel the same way as you about religous vandalism. i notice that is pretty prevelant. I clicked on the link on your user page but I couldnt get a history of your dealings with religous vandals. Nevilledad 19:47, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

It's not really anything notable. I'm against censorship, so one of the most annoying things is when you get people removing content from say, the Satanist article, for Christianity. Hell, even if you check the history of that page, the last edit was a bot reverting vandalism that said "Jesus rocks", or some crap. Again, vandals on Wikipedia arn't really any of my concern - I revert their edits and give them no recognition or credit, after all, they deserve none. ≈ The Haunted Angel 19:56, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

What is this all about. I first learned about you throguh this guy. What is this problem? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:English_User

He doesn't deserve recognition, and we shall not justify his existence by talking about him. All I'll say is that he is blocked, his IP's shall be blocked where ever they are found, as will all of his User Names, unless he chooses to make positive edits in the future. ≈ The Haunted Angel 20:10, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

What does sock puppet mean? If there is a dictonary of Wikipedia terms could I have a link? I am still illerate of many Wikipedia words. Nevilledad 20:13, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

A sock puppet is secondary account belonging to someone who already has one - one where the account is being used to break Wikipedia's rules. Here is a glossary to help you out a bit :) ≈ The Haunted Angel 20:15, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

why did you make Wikipedia delete the RATM82407.com wiki? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Eyeless45 (talkcontribs)

Hello To You

Hello there Haunted Angel how are you doing today? Nevilledad 13:48, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

I'm good, just getting back into the Wiki mood after a short break. ≈ The Haunted Angel 14:06, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

Do you prefer to be called Haunted Angel or would you rather me address you by your first name whatever it is. Just call me Nevilledad lol Nevilledad 03:18, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

If you go on my page there should be a link to some useless personal crap - says there my name is Richard. Call me that if you want, I don't mind. ≈ The Haunted Angel 18:16, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

Fulgrim

Just on the topic of your last change to the Primarch article- it is actually more accurate to say that Fulgrim slew Ferrus, as has been shown in the HH artbooks, undoubtedly in the new Fulgrim novel and on the Sabertooth website in the 40k HH fiction section. There is no ambiguity. I'll leave it at your descretion to alter the article though...

Primarch 12:48, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

The only reason I reverted it was because it was a drastic despcrption change without a source... if you feel that Fulgrim slew Ferrus, go ahead and change it to that - if not we'll wait until the book Fulgrim is released :) ≈ The Haunted Angel 15:42, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
No worries. Though you could always tag it with a 'citation needed' rather than revert. Primarch 10:09, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
I suppose that's true, although I'm always very wary of leaving unsourced info up. ≈ The Haunted Angel 12:42, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

The information has been corrected and removed by the 4th Edition Codexes. The new Codexes make it clear that the HH literature is incorrect. However, Primarch is obsessed with the alternate reality and wishes to try and make it canon, which it is not.

on the Rammstein article

I was trying to differentiate between the English word "Ram" and the German pronunciation of "Ramm," which is better represented as "Rahm." Besides, there's a primary stress on the first syllable. Problem is, "-shtine" can be pronounced as "shteen..."

My best suggestion is RAHM-shtain or RAHM-shtine, with some note on how to pronounce the second syllable. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stryik (talkcontribs)

The "Ram" being changed to "Rahm" I'm cool with, I can even understand that - but the band, Till especially, specificly pronounce it "shtine", rather then the many things I've seen over the years (steen, stine, stain, shtain, shteen, etc...). So if you must change it, to the latter of the two examples you gave :) ≈ The Haunted Angel 01:55, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
Well, you see, the problem lies in the fact that "shtine" can be pronounced in several different ways. (Hence the problem with layman's pronunciation.) I'd prefer caps used instead, since that seems to be a rather popular formatting style in most dictionaries that don't use IPA for their pronunciation guidelines. (That is, to mark stress.) Stryik 19:22, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
Minor addition, but for example, look at the article on JPEG. Stryik 20:07, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
I'm not sure how "Shtine" could be pronounced differently, but it'd be a tad ignorant of me to say that. I think with JPEG though, because "J" is just a singular letter, it'd be more easy to get confused, hence the caps... ≈ The Haunted Angel 22:40, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
Well, words ending in -ine can be pronounced as both -/aIn/ "nine" and -/in/ "mezzanine," so that's still possible. Stryik 22:36, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Ah, well you seem to know what you mean, so I'll take your word for it. ≈ The Haunted Angel 22:38, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

Hi

How are you today? I havent been on much lately and I hope to start back to my editing soon. Nevilledad 02:29, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

Rammstein talk page comments

I am the one who made the original post about the pronunciation of the bands name. I was correcting typographical errors I made in my original post. The only "vandalism" being done is on my own post not anyone else's. Thanks.

Apologies - I only caught the last post and saw it the wrong way - ignore the warning I gave you then :) ≈ The Haunted Angel 19:13, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

Coheed WP

Hi there Haunted Angel, Thanks for the offer to join your new WikiProject - I was kinda surprised, because my only related edit was undoing a piece of vandalism on the Coheed and Cambria article. Funnily enough, I was "proud" enough of that edit to tell my brother about it when I last spoke to him (he's a MASSIVE fan - pity he isn't a Wikipedian)! Well, thanks anyway! Cheers, Rob Lindsey 11:50, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

No problem, I saw you revert a load of Vandalism, so I thought you would be interested. ≈ The Haunted Angel 16:26, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

Why did you erase the explanation and the other use on the c dropped tuning???
Al least if you're gonna erase something you did NOT write, put an explanation, you don't own the wikipedia.

I removed it because not only was it vague and confusing, but also unwikified. There's no need to be so aggresive about this, I never claimed to "own" Wikipedia. ≈ The Haunted Angel 18:55, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

My recent RfB

Thank you so much for your participation in my recent RfB. Though it closed with 72% support (below the required 90%), I'm still quite pleased at the outpouring of support shown by a fair percentage of the community.

I'm currently tabulating and calculating all opposing and neutral arguments to help me better address the community's concerns about my abilities as a bureaucrat. If you'd like, you can follow my progress (and/or provide additional suggestions) at User:EVula/admin/RfB notes. Thanks again!

adding someone to a list

I need to have Jerry Eckwood added to the list of Arkansas Razorback players. How do I do this?Duane L. Freeman 19:57, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

I searched for the article, but couldn't find it... unless it's a table, it's relatively simple - just clicking "Edit this page" at the top (which I'm sure you already know), and find the place it needs to go amongst the coding. Again, if it's a table it can be a bit awkward - it's best if you give me a link to the article you wish to add it to, as I had trouble finding it, and I'll add it in, and show you afterwards how exactly it was done. I'm sure you know that to provide the link, simply type and on either side of the article title (so to link Hello, you would type Hello.) ≈ The Haunted Angel 20:18, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

Here is the link to the article: Jerry Eckwood —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dlfreem (talkcontribs) 19:21, August 22, 2007 (UTC).

Deleting trivia sections in South Park episodes.

I'm usually not a big fan trivia sections in articles.

I noticed you were going though all the south park episodes, deleting most of the content of the trivia sections and only citing WP:TRIVIA in your comments. This would be fine in articles of high importance, but in episode summaries this information is as important as anything else in the article. In fact it's a lot more useful then the detailed episode summaries that can be known by simply watching the episode.

If your problem is stylistic, then it might be better to rewrite the trivia sections, or integrate the information into other sections of the article. Unless deleting the trivia sections with almost no reason is done on all episodes (perhaps though a policy that bans trivia sections period) all your doing is making episode articles inconsistent.

If I have misunderstood or over simplified your actions please correct me (and provide more detailed comments). 220.237.130.164 13:28, 15 July 2007 (UTC) Adrian_au

It's true, I did go through a huge purge of the South Park episodes (and I'm still not done), removing trivia. However, I never once went and deleted all trivia from all episodes. Whenever I have deleted trivia, I have done so in order to remove stuff which is either unproven, irrelevant, useless or something which doesn't even deserve mention. As such, more times then not, I have left bits of Trivia about to be integrated into the article later - the stuff I removed were bits that would have no place in the article. What remained in the trivia sections, I aimed to merge into other parts of the article later, after I've removed the first level of cruft. ≈ The Haunted Angel 19:52, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
I took a closer look at your edits and it does seem your only deleting the unsubstantiated stuff. Sorry about the disturbance... carry on. 220.237.130.164 04:27, 16 July 2007 (UTC) Adrian_au
No worries. ≈ The Haunted Angel 13:50, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Hey, on the topic of Rammstein losing Till, do you think the band will end up disbanding, simply on the fact that there new guy sounds nothing like till and that he can't do there old stuff? gravediggerfuneral

The band said that they have so much fun doing Rammstein that they won't want to break up, hence the new singer. I reckon that they will carry on, but they won't be the same again - being one of my favorite bands, second only to Cradle, I'm a bit dissapointed at the news. ≈ The Haunted Angel 16:12, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

You ruined the trivia section of South Park. You are not good for Wikipedia. I am reporting you for removing the trivia section. 75.109.55.59 00:22, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Heh, go ahead. I'll keep reverting it. ≈ The Haunted Angel 21:57, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

you bastard you ruined the south park pages i am reporting ass to Mr. Wales i hate people like you that destroy this site

Go ahead and report me. Here's a link to help you. Just so that you know, this is an encyclopedia, not a collection of random, pointless information. ≈ The Haunted Angel 20:19, 5 August 2007

u fucker i hate u u ruined them pages people like u r a disgrace to this website please leave now or b forced 2 go

I beg you to keep in mind that this is an encyclopedia. It isn't me who decreed that Trivia should be eliminated, but I agree with the matter. If you actually want to contribute to this website, then see WP:TRIVIA. However, the personal attacks you have been making will not be tolerated. Consider this your only warning in respect to them. ≈ The Haunted Angel 20:44, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi

please learn a thing or two about metal before throwing the "zomg iam ban you!!" scare tatic around. Dallas no longer plays for Lecherous Nocturne. IF you knew anything about the metal scene, you would have known this. I do not appreciate your comments left on my talk page, as YOU should have done YOUR research.

Before you start your rant - there's a reason I deleted your comments. You see that little box down there, just before you click "Save Page"? It's called an edit summary. Any unexplained and unsourced changes to an article will be reverted. Use the Edit Summary to source your edits and explain them. Cherokee Hair Tampons edit

When making a deletion of 1Kb or more on a page where a number of contributors have been active recently, you may want to consider leaving comments for a week or so on the talk page. Your edits to this page totalled 1,010b in deletions and included the removal of a section which was under discussion on the talk page which included information that is not only present on nearly every other related (episode) page but generally has its own section and meets with the standards of WikiProject South Park.

I am going to post a notice on the talk page and specify a time frame of seven days to post objections before I revert the edit. If you wish to reinstate a similar edit please post your rationale and seek out the input of the contributors who have spent a lot of time on the project.

added to lists

I would like to add my "Jerry Eckwood" article to the list of Arkansas Razorback football players. How do I do this? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dlfreem (talkcontribs) 17:33, August 22, 2007 (UTC).

I can't find the exact article you refer to, but I'll briefly explain how to add a person. Click "edit this page" at the top of the article, and scroll down to where the list is that you wish to add the players is, and type it in following the same format as is already listed. For example, if the format goes something like:

*Person 1
*Person 2
*Person 3
*Person 4

And you wished to add "Person 2.5" to the list, you'd simply edit it to display:

*Person 1
*Person 2
*Person 2.5
*Person 3
*Person 4

However, it may get more complex than that if there are dates or other variables involved. For more info, see WP:EDIT. Hope that helps! ≈ The Haunted Angel 17:41, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

If you want to delete this article, I suggest you take it to WP:AFD instead. – Tivedshambo (talk) 13:27, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

I did warn the user on his talk page; if he felt the article deserved to stay, he should have added hangon to the article, rather than removing the speedy template. I also fail to see how, exactly, the person in question is notable. ≈ The Haunted Angel 13:28, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
I did not say he was notable, merely that there is a claim for notablity: ie. that he won a medal at the rowing world cup. Read WP:CSD#A7. – Tivedshambo (talk) 13:32, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
Noted, and I have made an AFD claim. ≈ The Haunted Angel 13:33, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

Vandalism picture

Can you look at this page Catamenia and tell me what you think. It has the vandal picture but wasn't edited today? Theresa Knott | The otter sank 23:06, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

It was uploaded by the same vandal, and so I think it's more than safe to assume that it's the wrong picture. ≈ The Haunted Angel 23:07, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
I figured out what happened. The image was deleted a while back but no one removed it from the page. So when he uploaded his version with the same name it went into the article. I think I have deleted all the images that need deleting. Theresa Knott | The otter sank 23:16, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
I've beem through his logs numerous times, and I believe that there are no longer any traces of his vandalsim. Thanks for the quick assistance ^_^ ≈ The Haunted Angel 23:19, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
