Speedy deletion nomination of User:The Hungry Puppy

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:The Hungry Puppy, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Contested deletion

edit

This page should not be speedily deleted because... we are working to get our information on wikipedia. There are numerous articles written on the internet about The Hungry Puppy and we have been advised that it would be eligible to be on wikipedia since there are multiple sources around the internet who have written independently about us. We are looking for one central location for our information to be available. The Hungry Puppy (talk) 14:07, 23 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Contested deletion

This page should not be speedily deleted because... we were unaware we could not use the same verbiage on another page we own and authored. We have now made appropriate changes and would like the deletion to be reconsidered. Thank you. --The Hungry Puppy (talk) 14:12, 23 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

There are still multiple issues with your submission and your account itself:
  1. Wikipedia accounts cannot be named after businesses - see Wikipedia's username policy. That alone is grounds for the account to be blocked from editing, and as you've noticed, this has happened.
  2. Accounts cannot be shared amongst more than one person (your use of "we" implies shared use). Only one person - the same person - can access an account for its entire lifetime.
  3. You are editing your userpage, which is not an encyclopedia article. A userpage is about you, the editor behind the account. It is not a workspace for an article in progress, nor a space for advertising. The userpage guidelines detail what is and is not acceptable content there.
  4. Companies are not entitled to have a Wikipedia article just because they exist. Companies must meet Wikipedia's notability criteria to be considered worthy of inclusion. This means your company must have already received significant coverage from multiple reliable and independent sources.
  5. Writing about your own company is an inherent conflict of interest. We discourage people from writing about topics where they have a personal or professional connection to the subject. We do this because it is difficult for someone closely associated with a topic to write from the required neutral point of view, avoid using unpublished original research, and not have a feeling of ownership (content is not owned or controlled by anyone, even the person who submits it). Writing about your own company can also be viewed as an attempt to publicize or promote your company, which isn't allowed here.

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:26, 23 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of User:The Hungry Puppy/sandbox

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:The Hungry Puppy/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
