Discretionary sanctions notice
editPlease carefully read this information:
The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.
Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.Thomas.W talk 16:59, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
Is very long, is [1] decision bit I must learn? The last Watch (talk) 17:11, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
- You don't have to learn it all by heart, but you must know that it's easier to get blocked when editing articles about Pakistan-India-Afghanistan than when editing articles about more peaceful subject areas. The reason for that is frequent and often very heated flare-ups where people from all sides try to push their own, usually conflicting, POV. POV that is based on religion, language, ethnicity, nationality and a lot of other things. Thomas.W talk 18:32, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you Thomas. The last Watch (talk) 18:55, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
