Proposed deletion of Jorg Colberg
editYour input would be greatly appreciated Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jörg Colberg
York Avenue
editWhile the York Avenue article was greatly improved by the addition of the derivation of its name as honoring Alvin York, the details of his medal of Honor citation aren't relevant in an article about the street. Anyone interested in further details can get them at the Alvin York article. Alansohn 20:44, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Bwana
editA proposed deletion template has been added to the article Bwana, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. License tagging for File:NYYC Burgee.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:NYYC Burgee.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:05, 27 September 2010 (UTC)

File source problem with File:2016 9 21 - CUMC Skybridge Irving Announcement.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:2016 9 21 - CUMC Skybridge Irving Announcement.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 22:39, 1 December 2016 (UTC)
Reversion of edits for NewYork-Prebyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital
editHi there: understand your reasoning for reinstating previous copy; however, the original copy was thorny due to conflict-of-interest issues. So while reinstating solves some issues, it reintroduces others. Thinking was that the new entry was clean, facts only, and that the Wiki Hospital group, or anyone really, could add relevant content that added to the entry.Mrs9007 (talk) 19:12, 12 December 2016 (UTC)Mrs9007
Hi--I defer to you all. There is an 'editor' with an obvious agenda against us (his IP has been blocked but he nonetheless returns using another), but I don't want to start a war or violate COI terms. But I also feel that the entry should be edited to be fair and balanced. Over to you! thanks!Mrs9007 (talk) 21:51, 12 December 2016 (UTC)Mrs9007
Ms. 9007 is Lyn Hill of NY Methodist, or Presbyterian, or whatever they're calling themselves these days. A proper Wiki article includes the major issues with the hospital. No NY Hospital has had their chief if surgery stripped of his medical license, and NY Methodist has set a record for court-ordered penalties for malpractice. The only conflict of interest is that the VP of public relations for this hospital writes their Wiki entry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.189.35.67 (talk) 03:03, 13 December 2016 (UTC)
Thank you so very much! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrs9007 (talk • contribs) 21:58, 12 December 2016 (UTC)
And see all the developments in the last 12 hours! thus my thinking that the straightforward paragraph might be the best way to go. But I leave that to your (Thehornet) decision.Mrs9007 (talk) 14:05, 13 December 2016 (UTC)Mrs9007
I'm sure Ms. 9007 would love to start fresh without mentions of the scandals plaguing the hospital at which she works, but Wikipedia was not created to allow the VP of Public Relations of a Brooklyn Hospital to rewrite history. I'm sure that NY Methodist/Presbyterian would love to erase their past, but it's an important part of the hospital's history and has a direct impact on very real people in the community. And again, this article should not be created or edited by Lyn Hill of NY Methodist. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.189.35.67 (talk) 23:46, 13 December 2016 (UTC)

An article you recently created, J/Boats, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ~~Cheers~~Mgbo120 18:25, 18 March 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Arnold P. Gold
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Arnold P. Gold requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/02/obituaries/dr-arnold-gold-92-dies-made-compassionate-care-a-cause.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 22:08, 17 September 2019 (UTC)

Your draft article, Draft:J/Boats
editHello, Thehornet. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Boats".

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Ionic
editPlease note that disambiguation pages like Ionic are meant to help readers find a specific existing article quickly and easily. For that reason, they have guidelines that are different from articles. From the Wikipedia:Disambiguation dos and don'ts you should:
- Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
- Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
- Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry that mentions the title being disambiguated
- Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
- Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
- Do not insert external links or references - Wikipedia is not a business directory

- Sorry. I thought we were trying to help people find what they were looking for...... Thehornet (talk) 00:23, 23 July 2022 (UTC)
- No worries - disambiguation pages are confusing. I just keep reminding myself that everything on a DAB page should already be covered in an article. If you have any references for the bike company that are wp:reliable, perhaps you could add it to an existing article; then it could go on the DAB page with that article as back-up. editHello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Memorials and museums devoted to the Titanic, from its old location at User:Thehornet/sandbox. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. ~Liancetalk 17:13, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
