- Hi there! Yep, you do need to add more sources – have you read WP:SOURCES? Theopolisme TALK 05:46, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
Nope. But, I don't know where to find other sources. I added one reference thingy previously but the wiki blocked it and placed it under 'black listed websites' (something like that)!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by EnvyDC (talk • contribs) 05:52, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
- Don't forget to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~)! But -- where is this person mentioned online? What websites? Newspaper articles? Theopolisme TALK 05:55, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) I'll add few sources! --Tito Dutta ✉ 06:07, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, especially from these websites. I found one of her books at my school's library (which hadn't been borrowed in 7 years, all dusty, ugh!!). I got curious (because her book is really interesting!) and went to do some research on who this person is. It took me some time to collect almost all the information to create the Wiki page about her.
These are basically the websites I get my information from:

अपनी जन्मभूमि से बिछड़ने का दुःख
Hi. If you were patrolling pages according to WP:NPP, you would have discovered that अपनी जन्मभूमि से बिछड़ने का दुःख is a blatant COPYVIO of http://myrgewad.blogspot.com/2012/03/20-20.html. Ahh, complicated stuff, NPP! Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 05:57, 4 August 2012 (UTC)

The Tea Leaf – Issue Five
Hi! Welcome to the fifth edition of The Tea Leaf, the official newsletter of the Teahouse!
- Guest activity increased in July. Questions are up from an average of 36 per week in June to 43 per week in July, and guest profile creation has also increased. This is likely a result of the automatic invite experiments we started near the end of month, which seeks to lessen the burden on hosts and other volunteers who manually invite editors. During the last week of July, questions doubled in the Teahouse! (But don't let that deter you from inviting editors to the Teahouse, please, there are still lots of new editors who haven't found Teahouse yet.)
- More Teahouse hosts than ever. We had 12 new hosts sign up to participate at the Teahouse! We now have 35 hosts volunteering at the Teahouse. Feel free to stop by and see them all here.
- Phase two update: Host sprint. In August, the Teahouse team plans to improve the host experience by developing a simpler new-host creation process, a better way of surfacing active hosts, and a host lounge renovation. Take a look at the plan and weigh in here.
- New Teahouse guest barnstar is awarded to first recipient: Charlie Inks. Using the Teahouse barnstar designed by Heatherawalls, hosts hajatvrc and Ryan Vesey created the new Teahouse Guest Barnstar. The first recipient is Charlie Inks, for her boldness in asking questions at the Teahouse. Check out the award in action here.
- Teahouse was a hot topic at Wikimania! The Teahouse was a hot topic at Wikimania this past month, where editor retention and interface design was heavily discussed. Sarah and Jonathan presented the Teahouse during the Wikimedia Fellowships panel. Slides can be viewed here. A lunch was also held at Wikimania for Teahouse hosts.
As always, thanks for supporting the Teahouse project! Stop by and visit us today!

Anti Vandalism Personal Study Material
I have started working with my own study material User:Titodutta/CVU. Still lots of works to be done in this page, but I think I am ready to take 1 student now. - I like it! As far as #2 ... I had no idea what it was called... I imaging something like comment vandalism, but... I digress. I think the real question is, "Why is the name of that type of vandalism important?" // Page-lengthening... huh? Are you saying like adding a bunch of </br> tags or something? Or am I missing something... In any case, looks gorgeous! Theopolisme TALK 20:17, 7 August 2012 (UTC)

Hello Theo, It's me, Mr. Wikipediania I've been in a rather terribly cranky and worn-off mood lately, and I just wanted your take on this: (Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/AndresHerutJaim/Archive). New Pages newsletter
Hey all :)
A couple of new things.
First, you'll note that all the project titles have now changed to the Page Curation prefix, rather than having the New Pages Feed prefix. This is because the overarching project name has changed to Page Curation; the feed is still known as New Pages Feed, and the Curation Toolbar is still the Curation Toolbar. Hopefully this will be the last namechange ;p.
On the subject of the Curation Toolbar (nice segue, Oliver!) – it's now deployed on Wikipedia. Just open up any article in the New Pages Feed and it should appear on the right.
It's still a beta version – bugs are expected – and we've got a lot more work to do. But if you see something going wrong, or a feature missing, drop me a note or post on the project talkpage and I'll be happy to help :). Thanks! Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 00:07, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

For tagging this attack page! Which tool did you use to tag it (I see that you didn't use Twinkle)? Electric Catfish 00:25, 10 August 2012 (UTC) |
- Doin' some contrib stalking? Or just patrolling the Category:CSD? In any case, I actually was using the *brand-new* - literally, 20 minutes ago – beta of the new curation toolbar, Oliver's latest escapade. :) Theopolisme TALK 00:31, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
- No. There was an article that tripped the edit filter and I saw that you tagged it. I found out that it's called the page triage and now I've enabled it on my account. I still prefer Twinkle at the moment. Best, Electric Catfish 00:35, 10 August 2012 (UTC).
- Re that attack page (which I have zapped), was the text of the message supplied by the new curation system? I came here to say that I think, for an undoubted attack page, it was much too polite. We shouldn't offer an attacker time to improve his work – "AGF is not a suicide pact." I think {{uw-attack}} is a much more appropriate message. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 00:39, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
- I agree with John and I was a bit perplexed as to why it gives such a "kind" warning. Attack pages are serious and a newbie message doesn't cut it. That's why I use Twinkle. Electric Catfish 00:40, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
- You may want to get in touch with Oliver about this – it's a work in progress, but I agree w/ you on the message being too nice. Theopolisme TALK 00:54, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

Then it is a problem if someone loose there life because of someone's not hearing the call of destress of help from someone who can help them, I would want to be that person to do of this. There are elderly person's/ people living in the same neigborhood with the same problems who's going to help me help and ourseleves. All this is because of the relicous cause that we stand for it's not right. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mettronn harris (talk • contribs) 21:37, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your help with the vital work of patrolling new pages. I noticed that you are not marking some of the pages you've reviewed as patrolled. Please do remember to click the 'mark this page as patrolled' link at the bottom of the new page if you have performed the standard patrolling tasks. Where appropriate, doing so saves time and work by informing fellow patrollers of your review of the page, so that they do not duplicate efforts. Thanks again for volunteering your time at the new pages patrol project. — Abhishek Talk 06:00, 11 August 2012 (UTC)

1931 Wimbledon Championships – Women's Singles
Thanks for your thanks for the 1931 Women's Singles page. Before I started adding the pages for the Men's and Women's Singles for the early years of Wimbledon, I asked Audrey Snell (the Wimbledon librarian) for a source of complete draws, as 100 Years of Wimbledon by Tingay only gives the later rounds. The only source she knew of for the complete draws was The Official History by Barrett, so I bought that :-) Rmallett (talk) 17:48, 11 August 2012 (UTC)

It may cause unnaccepatable delay in finding an instructor. Also it shouldnt be top down. Instructors should have autonomy in taking on peeps for instruction. - Frankly (hope you'll allow to speak frankly)– does not it look bad if instructors go ahead and say "I'll take a student"? Specially if more than one editor post for the same student (and debate (okay sometimes))? I don't think it'll cause unacceptable delay. Okay, still I have second suggestion.
- Suggestion modified– All quiet on the enrolment front When someone will enrol and meets requirement we'll copy paste his name in a discussion page (to discuss who'll be instructor), there active instructors can suggest own/anyone's else's name (if they suggest anyone else's name the suggested instructor need to reply within 24 hours to get the student (this is to avoid unacceptable delay, as said). But please not in the enrolment discussion All quiet on the enrolment front? --Tito Dutta ✉ 02:37, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
- Two words: be bold. Dan653 (talk) 02:42, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
- Alright! But, there is better scope too. Co-ordinators have checked our (instructors') contribution, they know us, our choices etc. So, after checking student's type, edits, they can appoint the best people. For example I can easily work with a blocked user or one who does not know anything about Wikicreole, but I can not work with person will bad behaviour or who uses foul languages. This discussion may help to appoint the best (appropriate) instructor to a student
- If it is not possible, I am okay with the current procedure too! :-(--Tito Dutta ✉ 02:43, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

- I'm just going to ignore Theo here – cause I can. I think this would be a good time to invoke WP:NOTBUREAUCRACY. If we treat every student like an RFC it will use up a lot of time for not a lot of gain. I also believe that introducing a process like this will only add to comments like Kudpungs on Theo's RFA: "I have commented several times that I find the CVU project has become unnecessarily bureaucratised and has introduced pseudeo hierarchies and leaderships." - I agree w/ Callan (and am against the idea), but I thought it would be a good idea to let everyone discuss it rather than just hiding it here on my talk – which not everyone sees. Just making my suggestion clear. Theopolisme TALK 20:02, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
- Agreed. Also, IMHO, it looks bad when we fight on the status page as to who gets the student. Just {{tick}} them and discuss it elsewhere! Electric Catfish 23:35, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

Request for Unbanning
Hi Theo! I've apparently been banned from the CVUA IRC channel. Can you please un-ban me? Thanks, Electric Catfish 20:57, 14 August 2012 (UTC).
- Hey, ECF. Actually not at home right now (at family's house – long story), so I can't do it right now – ask Riley? Again, I'm really sorry, but this is quite urgent... you know what they say, family comes first. Thanks – 66.32.50.152 (talk) 23:38, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
Priorities
Hi Theo. I wholly agree that personal commitments are far more important than Wikipedia. Nobody is obliged to edit at any time – there's nothing so urgent it can't wait, except perhaps for rare occasions of WP:ADMINACCT. We've all occasionally and innocently forgotten to log in – I have – but there are no emergencies that warrant doing it deliberately. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 03:58, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks, Kudpung. I shouldn't have done that, and I apologize – I did not even think that I was not logged in at the time I posted it – so I tried to rationalize my IP-editing immediately afterwards seeing the page reload. Again, thanks – and sorry. Theopolisme TALK 11:35, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
Wikipedia is dictionary!
I think there's a word or two missing from your prod reasons on TicketGUIse. I didn't want to edit your words, but... well, go take a look. --Nat Gertler (talk) 02:56, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

- Thing is, I was expecting you to remove the PROD now that the article has been correctly tagged. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 11:31, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
- Dang, now the article is deleted, so I'll never be able to see what you corrected it to. Is that Wikipedia is a great dictionary? That Wikipedia is eating a dictionary? That Wikipedia is heavier than a dictionary? Oh, I curse all the knowledge lost by the deletion of that page! --Nat Gertler (talk) 13:05, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

Hello
Hi Theopolisme, thanks for the message. I changed it now so it doesn't confuse anyone anymore. :-P --Nadia (Kutsuit) (talk) 21:48, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
