Thanks for uploading File:TalkTalk logo.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 00:15, 19 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

If anyone has any advice on this please join the discussion. This is the official company logo, which replaces the previous one, which was no longer in use. In terms of use, it is permitted to be used in association with articles about TalkTalk, but is still copyrighted for commercial purposes. theredrocket (talk)11:45, 19 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:TalkTalklogo.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:TalkTalklogo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Cloudbound (talk) 15:07, 28 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Cloudbound. I've seen you've replaced the TalkTalk blog for another format, which is fine as long as it's the same one, so as an orphan the .jpg one can go. (Theredrocket) 18:07, 28 April 2010 (UTC)

Recreating an article on Yazino

edit

In case Talk:Yazino gets deleted, taking my reply with it, I'll repeat it here:

I'd suggest creating a draft in your user space (e.g., User:Theredrocket/Yazino). Then, rather than saying you've found more sources, you can show what the sources are and they can be vetted. If it's substantially improved, then the article can be moved to mainspace. —C.Fred (talk) 18:51, 30 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Understood and thanks - will do that Theredrocket (talk) 09:56, 1 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

File:JETREP.jpg missing description details

edit
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as:

is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Theo's Little Bot (error?) 10:15, 14 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Firefly Communications may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Hello Theredrocket. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, and that you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to Black hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Theredrocket. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Theredrocket|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, please do not edit further until you answer this message. Jytdog (talk) 01:31, 25 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
