Template current U.S. governors

Cuomo took the oath of office 10pm 31 December, effective at midnight, when Paterson's term expired. GoodDay waited until it was effective, and your revert is, well, wrong. The ceremony during the day Saturday is ceremonial. Didn't bother to check the news? 75.203.212.195 (talk) 11:08, 1 January 2011 (UTC)

Succession boxes

Someone changed the dates in governors elect to dts format to make them sortable; wish I'd thought of that. Looking at some of your other work, you're a positive influence. • May I ask why are you not stopping your revert warring at Jim Gibbons? The changes that you are reverting are clearly not vandalism. In fact, the ips seem to be pointing out dead links and improving at least one citation. Yes, they are changing the way the placeholder looks. But hey, reverting editorial changes regularly is edit warring and your reverts have again qualified for 3RR! I've blocked you for three days. In case you write here that you agree to discuss the issues with the ips with a positive bent of mind and not to edit war, I or any other administrator can unblock you immediately without any delay. But you will have to confirm that you understand why you have been blocked and that you will not edit war on that article again. Can you please confirm the same? Regards. Wifione ....... succession box

Why must you keep editing these? It's getting very irritating to have to go back and fix them. There's nothing wrong with them, STOP IT.

Served Under: [President X] BELONGS THERE. And what you're doing to the Senators succession boxes is considering vandalism. If you actually took the time to look at the Guidelines you would realize what you're doing is completely wrong.

Burma

I'm not sure there is going to be a Prime Minister, as the new constitution names the President as both head of state and of the executive. With regards to the SPDC, assuming it ceases to exist, probably shouldn't be in the infobox anymore, but the status of the SPDC is unclear as of now. It's probably best to discuss the situation on the talk page.--Tærkast (Communicate) 19:35, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

Ravan A.G. Farhâdi

Hi Therequiembellishere, in the article about Ravan A. G. Farhâdi you edited the infobox so that he was prime minister of the Northern Alliance. I can't find a source naming him at this position, and also the article doens't mention it. Can you show me proof he has been prime minister of the Afghan Norther Alliance? Otherwise I will reset the article. Greetz. Diedtc (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 21:25, 7 February 2011 (UTC).

Hina Rabbani Khar

I have started this talk to communicate to the user: Therequiembellishere as well as other users of the forum.

Hina Rabbani Khar is the current Minister of State for Foreign Affairs - Pakistan and not a Federal Minister. Here are links to Govt. of Pakistan Official website and Foreign Ministry of Pakistan:

http://www.pakistan.gov.pk/ (click on the list of ministers - new on right hand side under Prime Minister's picture)

http://www.mofa.gov.pk/ Hina's name is given on right hand side as Minister of State. The foreign Minister slot is empty.

As all of us work on getting the best and true information to others, I have edited the information many times (atleast 5-6 times) but due to a reason unknown to me the user Therequiembellishere has been changing it back to false information.

I suggest all of the readers to contribute positively towards this forum as it is providing free information to millions of people in the world. We are all responsible to ensure the information is free of errors and biases, based on our best efforts.

I hope this user or anyone else will not go back and change the information back to falsified.

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Jerry Brown. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.

In particular, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Chester Markel (talk) 03:18, 13 May 2011 (UTC)

Andris Bērziņš (Latvian President-elect)

Hello, You have removed my edits when it comes to the article Andris Bērziņš (Latvian President-elect) and some other articles where this person is mentioned. Please notice that Andris Bērziņš is not yet sworn in as a president, hence it is not possible that he "succeeded" Valdis Zatlers on 8 July 2011 - please notice the use of past tence of a future event in the infoboxes. I would like you to undo the reversions you did, so we do not confuse readers by inclining that the inauguration ceremony has taken place, since it has not. Abdiweli Mohamed Ali

Hello there, and thanks for your new article. I've made a few changes to the referencing on the article. Please take a look at those changes, and at the template {{citeweb}}. It allows you to enter the URL, the title, the author, the publisher, the date; although you don't have to fill them all in. Then it creates a nice neat reference that is consistent with other articles. Let me know if you need any help. Fly by Night (talk) 19:55, 19 June 2011 (UTC)

PLEASE STOP REMOVING INFORMATION AND DELETING LINKS FROM THE PAGE. A LOT OF PEOPLE WORKED HARD TO IMPROVE THE PAGE AND YET THERE IS NO REASON FOR YOU TO KEEP DELETING OUT HARD WORK. IF YOU LOOK AT MOST PAGES LIKE ANY US PRESIDENT FOR EXAMPLE, ALL HAVE EXTRA LINKS BECAUSE IT MAKES THE PAGE MORE ADVANCED. SO PLEASE STOP RUINING OUT WORK.

Why don't you go to any US President's page and look at how many links they have? Not only have you deleted the links, you deleted several offices and hence you deleted information. So you better stop vandalizing the page because its against the policy of wikipedia. I don't know what you have against allowing links to the order of office to exist or any reason to delete them.

PS Why don't you read the article that someone sent you about edit wars.

Look at this page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama and why don't you try to explain why there are more links? The reason is simple, it makes the page more advanced and better looking. There is no legitimate reason to delete the links so PLEASE stop deleting them for no reason. I like working side by side with users, but I don't like going to war for unnecessary reasons.

You also deleted a one of the offices about his tenure in the House, hence you vandalized it.

For the page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Roberts, I added a new link to a completely different page, which is the same as Obama's page. Is that alright by your standards?

Yes I know you left the office up this time, but in the past not only did you delete it, you also deleted one of the offices that represented his membership in the house in 1993. But I understand your logic and am glad that we resolved this dispute regarding links

Including interims in succession lists

Please explain to me where the "precedent" is coming from, or where it has been established. For example, I know for sure that we don't include interim coaches on any team's coaches list. --bender235 (talk) 09:40, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

Is it within reach that you're explaining your revert at some point in the near future? Otherwise, I'll restore my version. Also, I might as well list my "precedents": German president Horst Köhler resigned on 31 May 2010, but his successor Christian Wulff did not take office until 30 June. Still, we don't list Norbert Lammert as "acting president" (although he technically was). Another example: William Rehnquist died on 3 September 2005, his successor John Roberts wasn't confirmed until 29 September. Betweens those date, the oldest justice (Stevens) was technically the "interim" chief justice. But again, we don't list Stevens as "interim chief justice". --bender235 (talk) 17:41, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

Hello, Therequiembellishere. The edit summary of your recent edit states that it is a reversion of my earlier edit, but it isn't. Elizabeth II

The "since" came about because I changed it as a result of a comment at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Elizabeth II/archive1. I agreed with the reviewer that "since 1952" or "1952 to date" or "1952 onwards" looked better than a dash between a date and a word. But it's only an "I like it" kind of preference. I agree that the length is unnecessary. DrKiernan (talk) 16:45, 12 October 2011 (UTC)

Sirleaf order of office

Hi, I noticed that you once again removed the order of office field from the infobox on the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. I added a section on the talk page back in 2010 regarding this and asked in my last edit summary that users discuss any edits to that field before changing it. However, you've removed that field at least twice in the past year without any edit summary or explanation on the talk page. Can you give a reason, other than "I don't like it," for removing the information? The field exists for a reason, and it is used on a number of good and featured articles (see Barack Obama, Ban Ki-moon, Stephen Harper, etc.). Thanks. Idaltu (talk) 10:03, 2 November 2011 (UTC)

As it's been nearly a week and I haven't heard back from you, I'm re-adding the order of office field on Sirleaf's page. Again, if you feel this is in error, please discuss it on the article's talk page before changing it again. Thanks, and cheers. —Idaltu (talk) 22:51, 8 November 2011 (UTC)

Ghannouchi

But even Ghannouchi himself did not pretend that he is a president and all what he did was conforming to the constitution, in fact he proclamed that he will take the charges of the absent president till he returns to Tunisia. In this case of the constitution, Ben Ali remains the effective president and Ghannouchi has not the right of the constitutional oath and so he is not a president. In fact when the constitutional council proclamed that Ben Ali is never a president, Moubazaa became a president because that is what the constitution say. I want to ask you where are you from because I'm tunisin and lived the days of the revolution in Tunisia and I'm sure of what I'm saying.--197.28.183.184 (talk) 18:10, 21 November 2011 (UTC)

Mariano Rajoy, Prime minister - desginate

Hi,

As general elections in Spain designate the congressmen and not the prime minister (who is designated by the king, after being proposed by the congressmen, thus, not elected by the people), I'm afraid that, as to date, the "prime minister - designate" title is wrong (although is 99'99% sure Mariano Rajoy will be elected prime minister). 62.83.105.235 (talk) 21:51, 6 December 2011 (UTC)

Hi! The same applies to Zoran Milanović and Croatian elections - until the 7th Parliament convenes in 2-3 weeks and appoints the PM, there's no official post (besides the caretaker PM). Even though this is virtually certain to happen, WP:CRYSTAL does not permit adding Milanović to list of state officials. As in case of Spain, the people elect the MPs, and the MPs elect the PM.--Tomobe03 (talk) 10:43, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

Swiss Federal Councillors

Hi, I've noticed that you have changed the infoboxes in the articles about several Federal Councillors to read "Minister for ...". That's not quite correct, as there is no official title of Minister in the Swiss government, even if they are referred to as ministers in media shorthand. Instead, Councillors are officially referred to as "Head of the Department of ..."; see e.g. [2], [3]. Could you change this back? Regards,  Sandstein  08:28, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
