Draft:Alserv
Hello Theroadislong,
I see you rejected my submission https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Alserv
Could you give me a few more insights on why the draft was rejected? I will change the language though.
However, the sources are genuine sources and respectable newspapers. Also, could you tell me if the link to the brand website can be included?
Since its my the first time I am unaware.
Please explain what can be done.
Looking forward to your reply.
With regards Rakesh862 (talk) 08:55, 28 May 2020 (UTC)
- It was declined not rejected. Examples of advertising include "Alserv delivers essential services" sourced to their own website and "Alserv saw a five-fold increase in its service demand during the COVID-19 lockdown in India and they continued delivering essential items during the period" and "They founded the app after seeing huge gaps in the real estate available in the market for elders and the expensive retirement homes". Theroadislong (talk) 09:06, 28 May 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for your reply. Any comments on the kind of sources used? Rakesh862 (talk)
Rejection: British Nuclear Medicine Society
Hi, An article that I created was rejected for the second time, and the reason provided was "This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies." Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:British_Nuclear_Medicine_Society
The first time it was rejected, I was asked to add more independent references to show visibility. I did. I think it is written from a neutral point of view and not from an advertising point of view as I am not linked to this organisation. Also, I think it also cites numerous (around 10 sources + external links - not enough?) independent, reliable, published sources; therefore, it is not clear why it has been rejected? What am I missing?
Any suggestions? Thank you
- non neutral tone includes "the only independent forum devoted to all aspects of Nuclear Medicine", "The aim of the Society is the advancement of science and public education in Nuclear Medicine that would benefit patients." and "which can be purchased from Amazon website or Springer website." which is just blatant advertising The section "Awards and Fellowships" has no sources and is just promotional. Theroadislong (talk) 20:38, 29 May 2020 (UTC)
My article is very similar to - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Association_of_Nuclear_Medicine , with only 10 references. I have updated the page now. Would it be possible to have a quick look at the updated version and suggest if it addresses the issue, or if needs more work? Thx Earthianyogi (talk) 12:30, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
- The European Association of Nuclear Medicine is very poorly sourced and promotional, I have edited it somewhat and tagged it for needing more sources beware of other crap exists. Theroadislong (talk) 15:09, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
Theroadislong, Thank you. I updated the references in the Awards section. It comes from here - https://www.bnms.org.uk/page/Awards-Prizes?&hhsearchterms=%22awards%22 Also, I will make an effort to improve the EANM article as well, after BNMS gets approved.
- BUT we need secondary sources that discuss the awards, not their own website, that is how Wikipedia works, we have no interest in what they say about themselves. Theroadislong (talk) 15:39, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
Theroadislong, thank you very much for your help so far. I much appreciate it. For Norman Veall Medal - I have found three links as follows:
1. http://www.sinapse.ac.uk/news/bnms-norman-veall-medal-to-dr-roger-staff
I added these on the BNMS page. However, some editor seems to have removed them. I am not sure why?
If similar links are acceptable, I can find such links for each award, and cite those?
Can you kindly suggest?
Earthianyogi (talk) 16:53, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
- Sorry I'm not seeing where these were added or removed? The external link here [1] was removed because we don't use external links in the body of the article. Theroadislong (talk) 17:02, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
Theroadislong, I can add these back if these external links in my previous message are acceptable by Wikipedia? Are they? Earthianyogi (talk) 17:08, 30 May 2020 (UTC)

independent sources
so, to my mind the independent sources:
Articles about Jean Motell
- Jean Motell is a mid-career established artist, artland.com
- Lives of Jean Motell, Poetic Resistance Artist by Paul-Denis d'Homecourt,7 December 2019
- PHOTOGRAPHIE. Jean MOTELL (né en 1979), rossini.fr
- Jean Motell (né en 1979), drouot.com
regards LM
- Only the first one is in any depth and that is a gallery that sells his work so is not independent the others are not in depth so don't help with notability I'm afraid. Theroadislong (talk) 10:01, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
Draft Fonthill Splendens
Dear Theroadislong Many thanks for being in touch. I think I've put in the correct {{AFC submission|||ts=20200531141102|u=ArchaicW|ns=3}} code! Sorry, I still find some of Wikipedia's ways quite confusing. Anyway, very pleased that it sounds as if you think this is a useful article. I was really surprised that there was no article on Fonthill Splendens, the house that William Beckford grew up in. Naturally there are big articles on Beckford himself and on Fonthill Abbey, but this was actually a major country house of the period. By the way, Lotje has also been very helpful. If there's a problem and I've not done the submit correctly, I'd be really grateful if you could let me know and I'll redo it. Many thanks Ross ArchaicW (talk) 14:11, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
Oh, sorry, I copied and just pasted the submit - and it's put the whole box onto your Talk page. Hope you are maybe able to take it out. Sorry, thanks Ross ArchaicW (talk) 14:14, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
An editor deleted all the content that I added to EANM page yesterday
HI, Do you mind having a quick look? Link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Association_of_Nuclear_Medicine
Thanks Earthianyogi (talk) 14:44, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
- You would need to discuss that with them, but content like "to improve medical care and promote medical radiation protection through sustainable research efforts", "to constructively address the differences in opinions and controversies" ' which may lead to improved clinical outcome" "to provide workflow-related technical and practical advice, and the needs for futures of development" does seem overly promotional. Theroadislong (talk) 14:58, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) I agree that section was promotional. The article looks good now.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 16:05, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
Roy Wales draft page
Hello, regarding the draft page for the music conductor Roy Wales, the sources that reference the music premieres of important classical pieces are printed newspaper recviews from the 1970s, but they do not exist as online links. Can I cite them as the source even if the link does not exist because the reviews will be in the newspaper archives? Thank you, Simon Simon Wales (talk) 16:09, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
- Yes of course, sources don't need to be online. Theroadislong (talk) 16:25, 31 May 2020 (UTC)

Your draft has no independent reliable sources. Your draft does not show with significant coverage in multiple published independent reliable sources how you meet the Wikipedia definition of a notable person. Please review the criteria. Thank you, but I do not want to edit
Thank you for your prompt reply to my Teahouse question “Too inexperience to title”. Being noticed in a sea of Wikipedia users is exciting.
But I am still frustrated by not being able to pose my question in a way that is understood. The info you sent me will be very helpful when I begin to edit entries. However my question was not about editing articles via smartphone.
I would be very grateful if you would kindly read my question again. I am not asking about editing Wikipedia articles. I am asking how to change the way the screen view of Wikipedia appears on my phone when I open it.
Pretend I am not a registered user and I click on the Wikipedia icon on my phone and Wikipedia opens on my iPhone’s screen. What I see at that moment is what I want to change. I want to see only the Daily featured article, the news of the day, and the deaths. I do not want to see Did You Know, This Day in History or any other features. There used to be a way to do this via preferences (I think) but I can’t find it now. This is what I am seeking. I am NOT wishing to edit any Wikipedia content. THANK YOU. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pointyface (talk • contribs) 18:49, 2 June 2020 (UTC)

Your childish comment about my article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Avyar
On 6/2/2020 you wrote the following, "Poorly sourced and written, terms like "she supposedly lived 240 years" "We can even have a well-grounded opinion about the mythological nature of her life", "Some persons claimed that she was a goddess". "Avyar was educated by the poet who gave her an excellent education" "She discovered a secret of making gold, the best medicine, and the famous calpan" do not belong in an encyclopedia article. The article would need to be completely re-written before re-submitting."
My reply to you: Have you ever heard about a book named Bible ? Open the Bible and read about Methuselah, then open Wikipedia article and read, "Said to have died at the age of 969." Is this somehow different from the phrase in my artice, "she supposedly lived 240 years"? If these words are not allowed, then you should delete the article about Methuselah which features almost the same wording. The other 2-3 sentences are perfectly constructed and even a child could understand them. You made a pathetic comment which is highly unprofessional and unreasonable. Some people just need to raise their level of personal education and/or their linguistic abilities before trying their luck writing, editing and rejecting articles. The Cat 2020 (talk) 20:22, 2 June 2020 (UTC)
- In discussing Methusaleh, we can state, without weasel words, that the Book of Genesis states that he lived 969 years. That leaves no question as to what the legend is. If a particular source in Sanskrit or Tamil states that she lived 240 years, then quote the source, and we will know what the legend is. Robert McClenon (talk) 21:03, 2 June 2020 (UTC)
- My apologies User:The Cat 2020 for my pathetic comments, I will indeed endeavour to raise my level of personal education before trying my luck again. Theroadislong (talk) 21:31, 2 June 2020 (UTC)

Robert McClenon, I quoted the source where the information about her age is provided. It is more than enough based on the rules of Wikipedia. You should not make your own rules or ask me for the information that is not required. Please also ask your fellow not to remove my comments made on your talk page. I can't tolerate censorship being used against me and my informative reply to you which is always polite and friendly. You or anybody else might not like my reply but it shouldn't be censored by the process of simple deletion. It is unacceptable here on Wikipedia. The Cat 2020 (talk) 22:02, 2 June 2020 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker)@The Cat 2020: you have been on Wikipedia for two weeks. Making posts like
Some people just need to raise their level of personal education and/or their linguistic abilities before trying their luck writing, editing and rejecting articles
is not a "polite and friendly" comment at all. I see you have already accumulated several warnings from seasoned editors on your talk page. Usually editors who start out this way end up in a bad situation with in few weeks. If you want people to take you seriously, I'd recommend skipping the personal attacks and sticking to questions about the edits. In the real world and the virtual, you do not get far by starting out with an insult.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 22:22, 2 June 2020 (UTC)
ThatMontrealIP, When you write something to me, in a situation like this, you should also make an attempt to see the other side of the story. Did you read what was said to me by the person to whom I addressed the words you just quoted? If not, then you should because otherwise you are seeing only one part of the story and not putting an effort to see another. It was a friendly reply to the friendly comment I received on Wikipedia. I have over 20 years experience in writing and I know quite a few languages so I am more than qualified to make such a friendly advise. A wise person would take it and learn from it. No big deal here. When you are using a word insult, you should know its definition which is "a disrespectful or scornfully abusive remark or action". My friendly remark is neither one of those so you couldn't use the word insult in your correspondence to me. If you used it than it is a factually incorrect definition of a word that was addressed to me. Please kindly refrain from making any false allegation in the future or use only the appropriate words. By the way, if your read the above-mentioned reply then you would see that the person apologized and I humbly accepted his apology. The Cat 2020 (talk) 00:09, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
- The Cat 2020, I appologize, but your remarks are exactly that. they are disrespectful (calling someone's comment pathetic, and questioning their education, aimed at a very experienced multi-year editor no less), scornful (You've been here for a week, and you opt to imply that you're a better editor than someone who is known throughout the community), and abusive (Explicitly trying to put down said editor, and not letting up until they "apologized" (I took their apology as sarcasm.).)
- If anything, you need to read WP:CIVIL. —moonythedwarf (Braden N.) 01:05, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
Moonythedwarf, You seem to be wishing to argue with me non-stop. I can't engage in this any longer so this is going to be my last reply to you. I certainly noticed that you have copy-pasted several word definitions but unfortunately all these words do not apply to the tone and context of my initial message. I am sorry that you had to go through all these pains. Only the person who wrote an apology to me can tell us what he really meant. You can't put words in his mouth and say that it was sarcasm. I would rather prefer to hear and see a productive discussion about the material featured in my article. Somehow, you chose to argue over other things which are less important. If you can take a minute and read the moral sentences written by Avyar then perhaps you would change your tone. "Improvement in wisdom improves our veracity" -Avyar. Thank you so much for helping me understand. The Amazon link takes you exactly to the TV programme, this is the direct evidence of the existence of the TV series. IMDB is a film validation page, it is a log for all film and TV. What additional sources would you be looking for other than a link to the actual series itself? I am happy to add other sources to these ones but I am unsure what they other sources should be? For film isn't the best evidence the film itself? Thanks again Theonetwoandthree (talk) 13:29, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
- Wikipedia only publishes articles for topics that have received significant coverage in independent reliable sources. Amazon is a primary source so is of no use for establishing notability and IMDb is a user edited source so is not reliable click the blue links for more details. Digital companion: Page removed/moved to draft article
Hi there, I am just noticing this - why did you move my article 'digital companion' to drafts? Could you please give me some more specifics as to what I can change, to get the page live again? I can understand how you'd think it 'reads like an essay' but how is it poorly sourced? I included over 10 sources, and a lot of research. Is there someone I can talk to about contesting this? Thank you, TechPorcupine39 (talk) 08:12, 7 June 2020 (UTC)
- It was created as a draft and you circumvented the review process by moving it yourself, it was poorly sourced, appears to contain original research and reads like an essay so is not ready for main space. Theroadislong (talk) 08:22, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

Undisclosed Financial Article
Hello, I would like to answer your question regarding the undisclosed Financial article that I made for Freek.
I haven't and will not be paid or receive 1 cent for this article or any article I have previously published. I live in the middle east and artists in this region are not getting the exposure that they deserve. I take it on my self and use my time to promote art from the middle east. Freek for example is one of the fatest growing artists and he deserve to be recognized.
I hope that answers your question.
If i need to edit or change anything in my article, please let me know,

Rana Pratap Bhattacharya - Creatring a new page about an animal activist from Pune
Hello The Road Is Long. Hope you and your family are doing well and safe during this global pandemic. One of my articles named Rana Pratap Bhattacharya recently got declined by you.
I am a journalist identifying prominent Indian animal rescuers. It was not about promoting an individual but about highlighting an individual's work for the society. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TopCop2020 (talk • contribs) 14:17, 9 June 2020 (UTC)
Marriage Course draft article declined
Hello, thank you for the quick review of our first Wikipedia article (father and son cooperation). Can you please help us what we did wrong?
- Not noteworthy: The Marriage Course has been done by over 1 million couples worldwide over the course 24 years, in 127 countries (40 languages in 2013 were quoted from the 2013 Guardian article). External sources cited are The Guardian, The Financial Times, The Times and The Spectator. If these are not sufficient, would it help to add sources in other languages (e.g. state TV coverage in other countries)? The website for the courses themselves is only used for minor and noncontroversial pieces of information (number of sessions, publishing year of DVD...). Thank you!
- Advertising language: we very carefully only listed facts (and sourced them from the cited articles which were not written by the authors of the course, but rather by independent journalists) and did not use any subjective expressions. We have not even suggested that the course is helpful or effective in any way. Almost every sentence is externally referenced, including the list of topics for the course. What are we doing wrong?
We will be grateful for advice... thanks! Jakub.cz (talk) 15:11, 9 June 2020 (UTC)
- Not sure that I can add any more to what has already been pointed out to you here Draft talk:Marriage Course. Theroadislong (talk) 15:20, 9 June 2020 (UTC)
Hello! You just looked at end article I put in my sandbox. I had it there because before adding it into the article on George Ainslie, I wanted to check it was sufficiently neutral. Are you suggesting my edit is OK just to put straight in? Its my first article. (Magminion (talk) 16:15, 10 June 2020 (UTC))Magminion (talk) 16:15, 10 June 2020 (UTC)
- Magminion It's not an article, you are only adding content, so yes you can add it straight to the article at George Robert Ainslie. Theroadislong (talk) 16:25, 10 June 2020 (UTC)
great, thanks - I should have said my first edit!!! Magminion (talk) 16:31, 10 June 2020 (UTC)
Draft/KyleMcMahon
Hey, I completed the edits you and DESiegel suggested for Draft/KyleMcMahon
1. I took out the "trending on Twitter" sentence because the sources would be considered unreliable (a tweeted screenshot). 2. I also took out the sentence regarding the United Nations Youth Ambassadors Program because the only sources on that were from McMahon himself. 3. I updated two other sources to reliable sources. 4. I added Selma's Oscar win, which I found when looking up what studio the movie is from. I used the Academy Awards website as the source for the Oscar 5. Per DESiegel's instructions on adding a Credits / Filmography, I added a bulleted list with Title, Date, Studio, Credit. Which leads me to a question about this: As I was looking through sources, I saw that he has a credit on a Tina Turner tribute album but I didn't think that was notable enough to include. Is that okay to not include it or should I add it? (He also has one song through Warner Brothers that was free with the Oprah Lifeclass shows, which I am realizing now I forgot to add to the credits)
Thanks so much for walking me through this. I must say I'm having a bit of fun. It's like a research paper for the world.
UPDATE: Added WB song to CREDITS section. When you get a free moment, please let me know if the above changes are correct and what am I to do next. Thanks kindly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by FrankNSteinJr (talk • contribs) 21:45, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

Balwant Dullat
This is regarding page on Balwant Dullat, you have seen the Preview and Commented that Balwant Dullat does not qualify for Wikipedia page and reason you gave is that not enough references and you also wrote that IMDB is not a reliable source. If IMDB is not a good source then it has link to Ministry of Information and broadcasting that and Directorate of Film festivals Government of India. Government of India site Clearly state about the National Film Award received by Balwant Dullat. He got the Award from President of India. Do you meant that is not enough Evidence. I can provide you 200 Pages from different Film Industry Magazines and newspapers that show the coverage of getting the Award but I do not find Links of the Film Industry Magazines and newspapers online. If you need the Publications I can send through Email or on any Address so that you can see the coverage. Ministry of Information and broadcasting and Directorate of Film festivals are Reliable and biggest source .National Award Function was selected on National Television(Doordarshan). I can send you video of the event. I hope you will accept my request and will help me create the page . I am not expert in creating the page. Theroadislong, I was trying to create Artical/wikipedia page for Film Director Balwant Dullat. You had rejected because it has IMDB reference and according to you based on IMDB refrence you do not recommend the page or denied it. I am no expert for Wikipedia like you. just to inform you I can give link to 100 Pages of Indian Actors or Directors who have just done only one Movie or Television Episode but they have wikipedia page will all the info and with photograph and these pages were created based on IMDB refrence. See these 3-4 pages just for your reference or external link is IMDB :https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amita_Nangia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Navneet_Nishan (Refrence only IMDB)
__________________________________________
On Wikipedia I also read the below info
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Other_evidence_of_film_notability Not all notable topics have current or sustained significant coverage. In WP:NF#Other evidence of notability we have an explanation of this by its stating "A topic related to film may not meet the criteria of the general notability guideline, but significant coverage is not always possible to find on the Internet, especially for older films. The following are attributes that generally indicate, when supported with reliable sources, that the required sources are likely to exist".
"A notable actor, director, or producer's first film or final film could be seen as "important" in context to examination of their careers, if verifiable. This attribute require verifiability of the involvement of the notable person, without also mandating significant coverage of the involvement." Any biography Shortcut WP:ANYBIO "The person has received a well-known and significant award or honor, or has been nominated for such an award several times."
I hope you will understand the problem and will help me to create the Artical or page. I have posted more links on the DRAFT Page and please go through and help. Thanks and Best RegardsPARMJEETPALLU (talk) 23:59, 12 June 2020 (UTC)

Hello, you declined this draft. Do you think that it is possible to rewrite the article so that it doesn’t look as an advertisement or maybe this subject is just not notable and lacks English sources, so I shouldn’t try to write it furthermore? Regards. DonGuess (talk) 19:44, 13 June 2020 (UTC)
orphan page warning
Hello,
On my new article William Popley it says at the top it is an 'orphan article' because it does not link to any other pages, but I count 20 links to other pages in Wikipedia. I have checked them and they do work, so I do not know why the 'orphan' message remains at the top, please can you advise? I have looked at the links it (the message) provides, but they tell you about linking to pages, not what to do if you think the message is incorrect.
Thank you for approving my article. Kind regards, (AA4BristolArchives (talk) 10:19, 15 June 2020 (UTC))

Advice on how to make an article neutral
Hello, Theroadislong, please help me make Draft:Arzamas (website) (which you declined) make more neutral, and what do you think shoukd be added to the article?--DonGuess (talk) 13:20, 16 June 2020 (UTC)
Sabine Kacunko article declined
Hello and thanks for your service. I have just added two references with full text-links and a number of independent literature-references (too many for the moment, I guess), partially linked to the full-text articles online, or online-books etc. My plan was to add cumulatively an appropriate number of references and links, meaning that I regarded as unnecessary to "show off" with too many independent quotes by simply overtaking them from catalogues, books etc. By keeping the number of references in a parsimony-way, I thought that such a rather humble method would best match the Wikipedia-requirements. My suggestion would be to start with publishing the article with the literature-references with links first, to which I would add one or another especially relevant one by using the key "more independent sources, the better" (geographically, language-wise etc.). Thanks in advance for your feedback and help with the article! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gimmeldal (talk • contribs) 08:53, 17 June 2020 (UTC)
- The draft is very poorly sourced, where did all the content come from? Each and every statement of fact requires a source. Wikipedia requires significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject see the guidelines on the notability of people. Request on 16:16:58, 17 June 2020 for assistance on AfC submission by EM2504
I am a little confused about this article getting declined. David Cook is the music director and piano player for one of the biggest touring musical artists in the world (Taylor Swift) and has a long resume of other artists he's worked with as well, many of whom are also very well known. As a point of reference, other people with similar backgrounds include Kristopher Pooley, Adam Blackstone and Glenn Zalenski, all of whom have wikipedia articles themselves. The Kritopher Pooley page in particular seems very similar in the number and type of references included. Is this just a matter of finding more recent articles referencing David Cook?
EM2504 (talk) 16:16, 17 June 2020 (UTC)
- EM2504 Notability cannot be inherited, so who he has worked with has no bearing on his own notability and yes it is just a matter of finding in-depth coverage of him in independent sources. Theroadislong (talk) 16:37, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

Sabine Kacunko article declined - resubmitted
Dear editors, I have meanwhile resubmitted the proposed Wikipedia article, with respect to the editors´ objections regarding submission's references (number, variety, independence, relevance, reliability of links). They are included in 1. the list of the publications, 2. links to some of the referred names, institutions, phaenomena etc., and 2. the two references. I was keeping the number of references short, while the list of publications is longer, because the information stem from them, and which can be independently checked. I hope that now my submission matches the requirements for the Wikipedia article, including the guidelines on the notability of people. Thank you in advance for your consideration. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gimmeldal (talk • contribs) 16:36, 18 June 2020 (UTC)

Hello Theroadislong, I don't understand the reason of your declining my last version of the Draft:Antonio Carraro: it seems that for you the "submission's references don't show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article", although I added two indipendent and reliable sources as references. I also saw other Wikipedia English company pages that have only "primary sources", not indipendent ones..
You also say that my draft doesn't meet Organization and Companies Notability criteria, but the Antonio Crararo page exists in all the other languages except from English.
I would be grateful to you if you clarify me the reason Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Francesco Andre90 (talk • contribs) 11:17, 19 June 2020 (UTC)

About Arise from Darkness article
Hello Theroadislong, you created the Arise from Darkness article (note is was created back in 2018 and recently deleted). It was a soft delete so I worked on a draft to try and better the references. I have also clarified that I am an employer of the movie studio Ave Fenix Pictures out of Chicago. I wanted to ask your opinion and hopefully guidance about the quick proposed deletion to the article you approved. I must highlight the suspicion that the same editor proposed deleting all our movie pages on May 11th.
The article originally appeared to be deleted because the frame of references and now they discuss the film not being notable enough. I do not understand how a group of references can be enough for a reviewer and not another? (The WGN Chicago reference is an interview about the movie for Hispanic Heritage Month. I do see the video is not connected to the article any longer or it was moved. We do have the original interview that we can upload or connect if possible)
I do need to mention what strikes me is that two days before the May 11th deletions occurred simultaneously an email was sent to our film studio asking for precise wordage to be removed from several of our Wikipedia articles in relation to a movie. Within 48 hours all of our studio and movie pages on Wikipedia were proposed to deletion. It is stretch to believe that was a coincidence. It is incredible.... again, a reviewer accepts the article and the same editor who proposed the deletion, proposes its deletion again, 3 hours later. I believe it is evident that there is something personal.
I would be grateful in your assistance for advice and/or who should I contact to review the attitude of this editor?
Thanks!--Michael.j.schwartz (talk) 05:18, 22 June 2020 (UTC)
- Articles are accepted at WP:AFC if it is deemed that they would survive an WP:AFD, I considered it would indeed survive, anyone else is welcome to disagree as has happened, the afd process will decide if the article is notable enough to be kept. You have a clear conflict of interest and are being paid to contribute content about your own company, I don't think I can help you further. Theroadislong (talk) 09:12, 22 June 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for your quick response and advice. I want to make clear I entered Wikipedia in 2017 and I declared my connection as part of the studio. I am not a paid editor, I am part of the company. You can see it here : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Michael.j.schwartz#Ave_Fenix_Pictures and here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Michael.j.schwartz
I even went as far as when introducing myself that the studio hired an editor, believing that was the best option because we did not understand the platform, but we had no idea that the editor worked without following the rules. Once learning and abiding, I stated that I cannot edit my own articles: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:There%27sNoTime/Archive_13, ("Ave Fenix Pictures" section)
I think the connection that I have with the company has been clear since I entered the platform, I can send supporting documentation if Wikipedia requests it.--Michael.j.schwartz —Preceding undated comment added 18:56, 22 June 2020 (UTC)
- If you are editing on behalf of your company then you are deemed to be a paid editor, but what ever, the AFd will decide whether to keep the article or not. Theroadislong (talk) 19:40, 22 June 2020 (UTC)
