Request reason:

Hi, I did not use the talk page of the 31 October 2023 attack on Jabalia as a forum for my personal opinions. I tried to remain as factual as possible: I stated that all the big news networks - CNN, BBC, etc. - were quoted saying that at least 50 people died in the airstrike. The article's infobox said that the amount of casualties was "100+ killed", which is contradictory to what is stated in said news networks. Furthermore, I stated that on the project page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Perennial_sources, it specifically says that some editors believe that Al Jazeera is not a reliable source when it comes to news regarding the Israeli-Arab conflict. I did not state my personal opinion, and I am sorry if it was interpreted as such. I'll do my best to sound as factual as possible, so please unblock me from editing.

Decline reason:

"The US Intelligence services are professional. As opposed to those of dictatorships (such as the Arab countries), they are obliged under American law to report their findings without bias - as they serve a democracy." Block is correct. Yamla (talk) 22:21, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

The above quote of mine is completely factual - According to the English Wikipedia, all Arab countries are dictatorships. And According to the English Wikipedia, The US is a democracy. There is no expression of personal opinion here.

Decline reason:

Then you should find it quite simple to come up with a reliable source (Wikipedia is not one) for this sentence. Where does the "US intelligence services are professional" and its conclusion come from? --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 15:17, 2 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I did NOT promote my point of view - every statement I made was backed by the English Wikipedia article pertaining to each statement. For example, I said that all Arab countries are dictatorships - the English Wikipedia article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Economist_Democracy_Index confirms this.

Decline reason:

But, that is not the reason for your block (using Wikipedia as a source). You were blocked for using Wikipedia to promote your point of view. The block seams correct. Vanjagenije (talk) 00:07, 20 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
