Hi! If someone can tell me where to ask (because I don't know where to ask in the english wikipedia) to redirect the List of castles in Canada to a new name (List of castles, manors and historic mansions of prestige in Canada) in order to keep the article's history, it would be appreciated! (Also, if someone can check the spelling mistakes on this article, this would be appreciated too!) Thanks!!! --Thomas131313 (talk) 01:20, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
- Is there a reason this should be done other than "to match French Wikipedia"? Based on the talk page, there doesn't seem to be a consensus to do so. Additionally, what does "historic mansions of prestige" mean? I don't find this term used anywhere outside of this one WP page.
- I can see that this page really needs some work; I'll clear out the redlinks while I'm at it. Dori ☾Talk ⁘ Contribs☽ 01:57, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
- My advice would be to not do so. If you insist on doing it you should start a discussion on the article's talk page. Hghyux (talk) 02:45, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
- As others have said. What you are suggesting amounts to page name change. This should only happen if the name of the current page does not conform to policy, or if the name change is likely to be uncontroversial. It would appear the name you are suggesting is controversial and has not elicited any support. If you wish to discuss the matter further you should do so at Talk:List of castles in Canada without adding the helpme template. Best Pol430 talk to me 13:44, 4 March 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 18
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of castles in Canada, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Banff (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
