Speedy deletion nomination of Satyagraha House
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Satyagraha House requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Faizan 12:04, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
- Hi User:Faizan, thank you for tagging this article for "Speedy Deletion". Please note that this stub is part of "Joburgpedia project", a GLAM project modelled around heritage sites in and around Johannesburg. The GLAM project is being executed by Wikimedia South Africa chapter (Which I am President of). Please see our chapter wiki page here. Please note that I will be creating more stubs like this in order for us to produce QRcode images for the plaques we are producing.--Thuvack | talk 19:04, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
- Sure, I regret, your article is safe now. Faizan 11:36, 18 May 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for July 19
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ke-Ditselana Tourism and Multi-Cultural Village, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Tsonga and Swati. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Your country needs more of you
editHi Thuvack, I've setup a style guide for anything South Africa government related. Would you be interested in writing a style guide for future editors? The idea is to get more standardisation across these articles. The guide is should be structured in the same way as the article layout, you can have a look at the one I started for government cabinets. Of course I also welcome your skills on the other style guides with your experience.
Lastly, if you're keen, you might wanna help get the WP:POLITICSZA task force off the ground. At the moment, it's only me - but trying to collect all the editors interested in South African politics. A lot of the articles are in disarray and in need of centralised task force to get them right. - That Video Shop Guy (talk) 22:37, 17 September 2015 (UTC)

editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Dudu Myeni, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Business Day. The article Qedani Mahlangu has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. An update from the Sustainability Initiative
editHi, Thuvack! Thank you again for supporting the Sustainability Initiative, which aims at reducing the environmental impact of the Wikimedia movement. Over the past two years, more than 200 Wikipedians from all over the world have come together to push the Wikimedia movement towards greater sustainability.
What's new?
We are writing you this message because there is great news: The Board of Trustees of the Wikimedia Foundation has finally passed a resolution stating that the Foundation is committed to seeking ways to reduce the impact of its activities on the environment. Also, we have created a cool logo and found a nice name for the project which you can see on the right :-)
What's next?
Currently, we are working with Wikimedia Foundation staff to make sustainability a key priority for the selection of a new location for Wikimedia servers in Singapore. Also, we have presented the Wikimedia Foundation with a green energy roadmap to have all Wikimedia servers run on renewable energy by 2019.
Please help!
Let's keep this project moving forward – and there are several ways in which you can help:
- Ask other Wikipedians to sign the project page as well – this way we can show the Wikimedia Foundation that this is an issue that the community really cares about.
- Talk to Wikimedians you know about the importance of reducing the environmental impact of the Wikimedia movement.
- Improve and translate the project page on Meta.
If you have any questions, you can contact us on on Meta. Again, thank you very much for your support! --Aubrey and Gnom (talk) 10:41, 9 April 2017 (UTC)
