What's the time?

Tide, rather than undoing badly spelled vandalism, you should be asleep dreaming of the line, which was at 4.5 points. Or do you also have a baby refusing to go to sleep? Drmies (talk) 06:56, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

I'm trying to make up for neglecting my duties here most of the past week. While you are correct in your line quote, I have heard that some, er, agents are able to take wagers at plus-nine-point-five. We shall see :) Tiderolls 06:59, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

Your concerns about copyvios

Hi, Tide rolls. Having Moonriddengirl on my watchlist, I wanted to respond to your question there about Carrier Pigeon. You are correct and definitely not "ringing the alarm bell for nothing." We really appreciate you noticing this kind of problem and raising the issue. The text you've pointed out is certainly a copyright violation - the verbatim text found here shows a 2007 copyright -- and so the addition should be removed. When you suspect there is a possible copyright violation on an article as you did here, you can template the page and report the article for review per the instructions at WP:Copyright Problems. Thanks again for your help!. CactusWriter | needles 09:46, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

Hello, CactusWriter. Thanks for taking the time to respond. I really should've notice the copyright on that .pdf. That's a pitfall of editing at 1AM :o\ After I had posted my message I had also considered reverting the suspected copyvio text and messaging the user (with a welcome template included) explaining my action. I'm thinking that if my suspicions were unfounded, that course would at least elicit feedback on their reasoning and show my action to be motivated by good faith. I'll definitely make use of the process you outlined. When using huggle I come across many edits that require attention but cannot (or should not) be addressed with that tool. Now that you've shown some patience with a well-meaning but process challenged editor, I'll add you to my "go to" list :) Regards Tiderolls 14:34, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
I know how those late night, blurry-eyed sessions go -- but obviously your instinct had it correctly pegged from the start. When it comes to copyright, we are all a little "process-challenged" -- there's just a whole lot to learn -- I'm still trying to figure it out myself. It's one of the reasons to use the copyvio templates rather than jump straight to the G12 speedy. Sometimes we need a another pair of eyes or open a discussion with the contributor to give us some perspectve. I'll be happy to help if you have questions again. And, of course, Moonriddengirl is always the best one to ask. Cheers. CactusWriter | needles 10:08, 11 October 2009 (UTC)

No inconvenience at all. I've seen very strange things happen with Huggle, so I was sure it was a glitch. Thanks for your reply. Tiderolls 11:56, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

Departing

This will be the very last time you will ever EVER hear from me. I have to think about my real life and I therefore will never return to Wikipedia. Not next month. Not next year. Nothing will ever bring me back. As always, I will be logging out at the end of this session. Only when I do, this time, it will be the last time and from that point, there will be no going back for me. We have shared a few good moments on here over the past year and so I just wanted to say goodbye and wish you the very best for your fututre pursuits on this encyclopedia.--Sky Attacker Here comes the bird! 04:54, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

Your recent reversion of a vandalism left behind more vandalisms by a previous editor. When reverting, please look back through the unnamed editors' changes. Some unnamed editor before you had fixed one or two obvious ones, but left a formatting error and all the less obvious dirty-word edits. The problem is that if you, as a known and reliable editor, leave the problems behind, they are masked and can go unnoticed for months. Amandajm (talk) 02:02, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

Proposed major reforms to decade articles

Hi - I noticed you have contributed recently to one or more of the decade articles (1990s, 1960s etc). I am proposing some major changes to these articles, as I have outlined in Talk:1990s/Archives/2012#Suggested_reform_of_decade_articles, and I would be interested in hearing your views in the first instance. Thanks. Kransky (talk) 08:59, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

I don't doubt that this is what you believe. However, article mainspace is not a forum for comment. If you have reliable sources that you can cite that would improve the article I encourage you to contact the editors on the article talk page and discuss your ideas. You can make any good faith edit you feel is necessary. Again, I would advise discussing your intentions on the talk page. That's the best way to avoid having your edits reverted. On another subject, it would help discussions if you could sign your posts by adding four tildes (~) at the end. Thanks Tiderolls 15:51, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

APPALLING!!

Hi there TIDE, VASCO from Portugal here,

I sent you a message about this anonymous vandal one month ago (see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Tide_rolls/Archive_8#Nice_teamwork); to my deepest shame, he continues to attack me, you, several other editors, i imagine just for attempting to clean up his mess and/or (as did i) report him.

My latest "find", this other IP - he has an ENDLESS supply, i tell ya (last one here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:88.106.152.119) where he, in spite of being constantly warned, continues to insult, mock and vandalize, at will.

I have a suggestion i want to share with you mate, although i know it's almost totally/utterly impossible: I think WP should be made available ONLY for registered users, so we would not have to put up with this rubbish!! This is very sad indeed :(

That said, have a nice weekend, keep it up,

VASCO AMARAL - --NothingButAGoodNothing (talk) 01:22, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Como vai você, amigo? I believe that flagged revisions will be implemented soon. That will mean that serious editors, e há muitos, will be free to work with much less worry from users that are disruptive. So, keep your focus on your important contributions...things will work out in the end. See ya 'round Tiderolls 03:00, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Sorry Tide, Twinkle told me I reverted on Joseph Addai and so I left a level-3 warning. Feel free to paste your name over mine. You doing alright? Drmies (talk) 04:42, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Things are going good, thanks. I hope you and yours are doing well. I thing your warning looks fine the way it stands...so, status quo will suffice. Thanks for the quick delete a moment ago. I was trying to decide what action to take and you relieved me of the decision making process. I thank you and my brain thanks you :) Tiderolls 04:48, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Sure thing. Did you see my latest Alabama-related contribution? Drmies (talk) 20:57, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Very well done. I wouldn't have thought much of the topic before reading the article. Thanks for the lesson. Tiderolls 06:36, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
No, thank you for fixing the redlink. CoM had expanded that a bit, and I hadn't thought to check and see if we actually had an article. I'm actually a bit proud of the article--all too often I write and improve articles that really don't amount to anything or are on topics that don't mean a thing in the grand scheme of things. This was a lesson for me, and I'm going to see if I can put some pressure on the Alabama Historical Committee to finally turn it into a real museum. I was talking to a student from Selma the other day--she was at a funeral last week of a civil rights activist, a friend of the family: this is still living history. Thanks again, Drmies (talk) 14:10, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
Here's another one: First Baptist Church (Montgomery, Alabama). Tide, I got a job for you: drive around and take pictures. Look at the historical markers (and take a picture, to remind yourself later of what was there). Then start writing them up! We got a lot of white space on our map. Take it easy, Drmies (talk) 04:24, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
Very well done. Many thanks from an Alabama native for contributing these articles :) If you're serious about the images, I'd be glad to help. I don't understand "white space on our map", though. What map? Tiderolls 04:37, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

<--The map of Wikipedia coverage of Alabama topics, places, buildings, etc. Only a few of the churches in Montgomery have articles, for instances, and only one of the neighborhoods is even mentioned in the article on the city. Drmies (talk) 18:43, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

Concerning Informational Notices

Greetings, when you post an informational notice to a users talk page concerning an edit, please include a verbal explanation of your actions. With respect to my edit of 'The Speed of Light' article, my text editor did introduce some odd errors in the text, but beyond that, the grammatical corrections were warranted and thus 'constructive'. Cheers. Sebastian Garth (talk) 07:57, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

The information template describes your edit as "unconstructive'. That is the explanation. I saw no "grammatical" corrections in the edit I reverted. I may have overlooked them, if so I apologize. Regards Tiderolls 08:06, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

What are you talking about? Tiderolls 02:17, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

I added information about some of the speakers at the National Equality March, and listed a speaker who was not listed. None of this was "vandalism"-I was actually there and helped organize 2 of the speakers and I sourced everything. You removed it as "vandalism". It was not and I'd appreciate if you would leave it alone. I have a right to put factual information on there.BlueFireIceEyes (talk) 03:37, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Umm..you never edited that page.Abce2|This isnot a test 03:38, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
I appreciate that you have come here to discuss this situation and I will apologize for the use of the word "vandalism" in the templated message left on your talk page. I would ask that you understand that would not have happened had you not already been warned one minute before by ClueBot for blanking a redirect. I do not have the capacity to read the minds of editors and I make my decisions based on what I observe. You had been reverted for blanking a redirect and then added unsourced content about living persons. Technically, you do not have the "right to put factual information on there"....your content must be reliably sourced. The fact that you attended the event is almost irrelevant and I saw no sourcing for the additions in your edit. I do not have a vested interest in the content that you altered and most likely will not revert that edit again. However, I can almost assure you that if you continue to add unsourced content to articles someone will alter your edits. I see from your contributions that you have recently been editing article talk pages. I would encourage you to continue this, as it would help you determine consensus for the article changes you anticipate. I hope that answers your concerns and wish you the best in your future editing. Regards Tiderolls 04:44, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Talk:Mary Beth Buchanan

TideRoll, unforuntately someone seems to be going around reverting talk page discussions. I asked that you please stop reverting the edits I made to the Mary Beth Buchanan talk page. I moved the old resolved discussions to an archive page of the discussion to free up the page for current relevant discussions. For some reason while I was doing this process, you and others saw fit to revert and continually revert my archiving as I was in process of completing the change. Next time, I will create the archive blank page prior to deleting information from the main page to prevent confusion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.215.5.92 (talkcontribs)
Yes, that would be the wise thing to do. - Zhang He (talk) 02:58, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
First, 69.215.5.92, thanks for coming here to discuss the situation. I only wish that you had come here sooner...perhaps before you blanked my message on your talk page, for example. I was trying to give advice on how you were handling the "archiving". I am always willing to assume good faith on the part of editors, but when they blank my messages, continue to disrupt talk pages and disregard the advice of well intentioned editors it makes a situation more difficult to resolve. There are many editors that would be willing to help you, but you must be willing to listen. I hope that you will take my advice and that you will have a good future here. Regards Tiderolls 03:08, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
Tide, I applaud your patience and your diplomacy. When you're ready for a mop, please let me know so I can start up the bandwagon. Hey, did you see that Montgomery, Alabama, made the front page again? ;) Drmies (talk) 03:17, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
Congrats on the DYK...I see many more in your future. As for the patience etc, I have been to 3RR and understand the frustrations. It's a policy, though, and there's no arguing with that. Well, there's arguing and then there's arguing. I truly believe that IP was well intentioned, they just wouldn't listen. Perhaps they will come to understand and return with a new attitude. Time will tell. See ya 'round Tiderolls 03:23, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

Which main page, Netalarm? Tiderolls 04:01, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

(Outdent) The talk page. Talk:Mary_Beth_Buchanan and Talk:Mary_Beth_Buchanan/Archive 1. Seems to be quite a bit of overlap. Netalarmtrick or treat! 04:03, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

Ahh...yeah, it's very confusing. I haven't looked into it in great detail so as to avoid a 3RR mess. I assume that the admin that handled the block would look into restoring the talk page. I'll watch list it and take a look after the dust settles. If you or Drmies are interested, I'll just look in to see if I can help. Tiderolls 04:05, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
Yes, the 3RR issue...the tricky call is, is it vandalism or not? At least once I have been alerted by another editor that what I thought was clear-cut vandalism was not so according to them. Look at my efforts at keeping Ahmed Rushdi "clean from hip-hop", in the article's history. Looks like vandalism to me, and I keep dropping templates, but I'm still keeping my eye open for 3RR problems (it's close sometimes, with a variety of IPs reinstating the crap). Anyway, this one is now blocked. Off to the next! Drmies (talk) 04:13, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
My advice on 3RR is just make sure, very sure, that you are reverting blatant vandalism. If there is any question that the matter could be a content dispute, you will have a very disappointing result. I am much more careful about what I revert and also how many times. Many times I know it is a content issue and make the edit manually and only once...I don't even try to run up against the line. I also try to make it a habit to leave a message on the editor's page that I reverted. Hoping for a dialogue, etc. Anyway, you probably have figured most of this out on your own. I'm just trying to help. See ya 'round Tiderolls 04:21, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
No, I appreciate it. Better safe than sorry! Thanks Tide, and won't you stop by for the LSU game? I'm going to invite some colleagues from Baton Rouge to try my jambalaya. Drmies (talk) 04:33, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

  Nezzadar's Rabbit of Appreciation
Much like rabbits, vandals occur in large numbers and are considered by some to be a nuisance. However while rabbits are cute, vandals are not. For defending my user page from a vandal, and possibly also blocking said vandal, I give you "Nezzadar's Rabbit of Appreciation". Take this random award featuring an image of an adorable mammal, and let it be a sign to others that you fight the good fight. From your completely insane friend,   Nezzadar   .

On a somewhat unrelated note, I always wanted to create a school group of Wikipedia accounts, so that I, the principal, and other members of Sekolah High/Scope Indonesia (in which is enlisted in the IP address as HIGH SCHOOL INDONESIA) are watched around, and that I and the school principal can watch any projects being done on Wikipedia related to their school projects, and watch out for any vandalism occured. Hi Tide rolls. No, you didn't make a mistake in warning 68.84.89.141. I remember redacting the warning because I thought they were removing vandalism but..., well, obviously they weren't. That was a serious error on my part - Thanks for letting me know Tide. -FASTILY (TALK) 03:47, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

Accident?

Hi! Please see this. Is it an accident? What do you think? Regards.

Hello. Are you asking if my warning was an accident? If so, my answer would be no. I was watching recent changes and saw this edit. I reverted and warned the user because the edit appeared to be vandalism. If my response doesn't answer your concerns please let me know. Thanks Tiderolls 05:25, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

WCLX Page

Hello Tide rolls. I am the owner and FCC licensee of WCLX(FM) in Westport, NY (confirmation available from FCC website.) I recently had to dismiss two people (Russell Kinsley and Diane Desmond) who have now decided to take "revenge" by repeatedly vandalizing the WCLX Wikipedia page. I put up a warning, which was deleted, so I deleted all the info rather than allow their childish edits to remain. I would just as soon have the page disappear, as I don't care if we're on Wikipedia. However, I do not have time to keep undoing their childish edits. (Note that they may be having a friend make the actual edits.)

Petertripp (talk) 18:32, 14 November 2009 (UTC)Dennis Jackson (Petertripp)

I can understand how that situation could cause frustration. Allow me to point out a couple of things; if your claims of ownership are true, you should be aware of this guideline. There are instances where editing from one in your position is not only allowed but encouraged. The first step towards this end would be proving your identity. Also, extensive vandalism is not a cause for article deletion. Page blanking is definitely not a solution; it could be construed as vandalism and in any case is disruptive. You can learn more about the deletion process here. As for the vandalism, I will add this article to my watchlist which I check daily. Please feel free to contact me if you should need more information. Regards Tiderolls 22:31, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

I actually came to this talk page to suggest the same thing. Tide, would you like to be nominated to be an admin. In your seven months of heavy activity you've been probably the most prolific poster to AIV. I think you would make a remarkable admin. Let me know if you want a nom. Valley2city 04:07, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
I appreciate the offer, Valley. I don't think an RfA would pass at this time. Over 90% of my edits are automated and the community requires that an editor show more diversity in their contributions. If I ever think that I have the contributions that would garner community support, I'll definitely look you up for a nom :) Tiderolls 04:14, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
Sure, any time. Even though automated, you show great proficiency with counter-vandalism and whenever you're ready I think you'd dominate and wield a powerful banhammer. Definitely diversify but I think you've found your niche. Valley2city 04:23, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for your activity on Battle of Monmouth. IMHO, reticence to pick up the mop is a good sign, and the provided rationale speaks to your understanding about what we're all trying to do here. I endorse this award and encourage you to farm some pagespace to acquire the desired diversity. BusterD (talk) 13:06, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
Hey, Buster...The Monmouth edits were a repeat of a pattern I've seen many times and will probably never understand. The user messes with spelling or gloms the format and I revert. They repeat the action, I revert. They repeat until they either run up to the final warning or get blocked. I fail to see a point. I'm not put out, the 'pedia is intact and the sun will rise tomorrow. Anyway, back to your post. As I watch recent changes I come across plenty of opportunities to "farm some pagespace". Some edits just can't be accomplished with Huggle. So, I'm gaining more experience every day. Thanks for your input and encouragement. Tiderolls 15:18, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

Tide rolls! - Q

Hey buddy, I jus have a quick question. If you saw this type of vandalism, would you start with a level 1 or a level 2 warning? Thanks, Tom A8UDI 01:52, 19 November 2009 (UTC)

I almost always let Huggle determine the level of warning issued. I want to make sure that the whole warning process is run so that the examining admin will get a clear picture of any trends. I try not to assign a hierarchy to vandalism; one example is just as un-notable as any other in my book. Please don't take my opinion as passing judgement on any action you may find necessary. I have come to trust your efforts and if you should find it necessary to escalate the warning(s) you issue, proceed. Keep up the good work Tiderolls 02:02, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
Huggle does that?? how? A8UDI 02:03, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
The "revert and warn" button will automatically issue the next warning due the specific user you revert. I have observed minor glitches with this function, especially when two editors are reverting the same edit with different tools. I do not concern myself with these instances as they are very infrequent and are easily addressed with calm examination and close communication. Hope that answers your question. Tiderolls 02:07, 19 November 2009 (UTC)

Multiple Level Reverts with HG

How do you get HG to do the multiple level reverts, as with this edit? I can't figure out how to do that. (And BTW, thanks for the revert on my talk page! Geoff Say something! 02:51, 19 November 2009 (UTC)

I strike the blue "back" arrow until I find the first un-vandalized version. This may take some time on an especially heavily vandalized article. Then I strike the "revert with no warning" button. I use "no warning" because there may be partial reversions that may have missed some vandalism and I do not want to accidentally warn an editor that was only trying to help out. In addition, you may be going back hours or even days of edits and warning someone for an edit that may be 12 hours old is not going to accomplish much. You have to be careful that you do not revert any quality edits in this procedure. Some of your edits may have to be done manually. It's all good...there's no rush. You're welcome for the revert, I'm sure that if you haven't already done the same for me you will have ample opportunity :) See ya 'round Tiderolls 02:59, 19 November 2009 (UTC)

Tebow is a beast. Bama has to play their game...Ingram has to have 25+ carries...Julio has to produce....no turnovers or plus-infinity. We have the talent, but everyone has to show up. It's gonna be a war, I'm thinking. Hell yeah, I'm nervous. Can't wait :) Tiderolls 06:48, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
One of my students had the nerve to wear a Florida hat to class. Aaarghh! Drmies (talk) 18:14, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
Alright man, an hour to go. I'm nervous. Fortunately, there will be big, burly men watching the game with me whose hands I can hold. ;) That, and I'm bringing a mason jar of moonshine. Roll tide, Drmies (talk) 20:03, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

So can you beat UF for the SEC Championship?

As a Dolphin and Hurricane, I really hate your coach and I want him to fail miserably but I do like seeing Timmy Tebows behind getting stomped. So you guys think you can beat UF? Im 50/50 on this because I hate both so, I dont know.Stealthninja545 (talk) 04:29, 4 December 2009 (UTC)stealthninja545

Pies Descalzos

hi i just want to tell you that you made a mistake on the article of shakira album pies descalzos you put that the album has sold more than 4 million copies when on her biography on her webside www.shakira.com she says that it has sold 5 million copies —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.9.140.69 (talk) 03:32, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for coming here to discuss your edits. The facts in your message may very well be true, but that was not my problem with your edit. The content you changed was referenced and it appeared you had mis-formatted your edit. This may have been a good faith mistake on your part. However, your continuing to revert sourced content with no edit summary is not the way things are done on Wikipedia. I urge you to check out the links on this page before editing further. Re: Thanks

I'll give you a good, hearty "you're welcome" on the talk page defense. Tragically, my talk page has only been vandalized a mere four times and my user page 6 times (one of which you reverted). - Pingveno 08:41, 7 December 2009 (UTC)

Tide, you know you're doing something right when an IP-hopping vandal tries to cause mayhem on your talk page, which is a treatment usually reserved for Jimbo's talk page. Walk tall! :P SMC (talk) 08:48, 7 December 2009 (UTC)

many thanks for tidying up the abusive slash on 'my' page - I am not a regular wikipedia updater and had missed that - this is a sincere thanks for taking the care to make sure this sort of abuse does not get through!

You're quite welcome. There are many editors that contribute their time keeping an eye out for such silliness. In most instances it's addressed quickly. Regards Tiderolls 14:53, 7 December 2009 (UTC)

Sociology reviewer

Howdy. The sociology article has been greatly improved over the past few months and we are looking for reviewers to get it to GA status. It isn't of featured status, but I certainly think it deserves higher than its current B rating. Please be a reviewer, or lend further advice! --Tomsega (talk) 17:09, 7 December 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the kind invitation. I've never reviewed for GA so I'm not sure how I can help, but I will definitely visit the article and weigh in if I see an opportunity. Good luck with your effort Tiderolls 01:36, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

Keshia Chanté

It looks like the anon is actually making a valid edit, removing a serious BLP violation. Woogee (talk) 02:32, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

I was worried that might be the case. But the anon is shown blocked....what's your advice? Tiderolls 02:33, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
Explain on their Talk page that they need to use the edit summary to explain their edits? I've made a comment on WP:BLPN. Woogee (talk) 02:36, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
Good idea...especially since I see User:Materialscientist has already done so :) Anyway, Materialscientist is the blocking admin. So, the matter is in good hands. Regards Tiderolls 02:39, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

Keshia Chanté

Please help that 99.248.83.188 user cleanup up Keshia Chanté - don't blindly revert them, the article is a mess. Materialscientist (talk) 02:38, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

I had no intention of muddying the waters. I simply saw a blocked anon continually editing the article. Of course I will heed your advice. Thanks for coming here to let me know. Regards Tiderolls 02:40, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
No problem - you're a terrific fighter, I myself blocked that user - hard to stop and think at high revert rate. The user is pretty stubborn too. Materialscientist (talk) 02:51, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
I've experienced the anon's frustrations in editing so I have only sympathy. I hope they see the light eventually. Kudos for your patience with both of us...lol Tiderolls 02:55, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

Huggle errors?

Every time I revert in 0.9.2, I trigger a Huggle error. Is this just me? Hope all is well with you. Alansohn (talk) 03:26, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

Nope, it's not just you. I've seen the problem raised at the HG talk page. It's happening to me as well. I checked my contribs and my reversions and warnings are displayed. My first thought is a WP server problem. I'm following User:Juliancolton's advice, clicking continue and proceeding. Things are good generally, thanks for asking. You doin' ok? Good seeing your name on the RC....I can sit back and cruise now  :) Tiderolls 03:30, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

Northern Renaissance

I just received this message, and there has been a mistake. I have never looked at "Northern Renaissance". I am currently studying for an exam that has nothing to do with that, so therefore I didn't make a "malicious edit" or whatever my computer has been cited for. - user "68.35.232.125" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.35.232.125 (talk) 05:06, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

Ok...my first advice: post your messages once....second: sign your posts with four tildes (top left key under the "escape" key. I don't know if your article needs to be deleted. I was cautioning you not to remove the speedy deletion tag from the article so you wouldn't be blocked. Retaining your editing privileges is, of course, necessary to creating and editing articles. Before you continue to advocate my pages deletion please consider the following:

The fact is it is a very noteworthy page for 3 simple reasons:

1. There is no other web site or business like it in the world.

2. The web site is #1 in the world on Google and Yahoo search engines. (Please search Google and Yahoo yourself for Police Bodyguards or Celebrity Police Bodyguards or on Yahoo just search Celebrity Bodyguard)

3. No business of it's type is currently covered on Wikipedia, I have searched Wikipedia for hours and this is the only company of it's type on Wikipedia.

Either you support the Troops or you do not, either you support the groups like this one, who support the Troops or you do not, there is no grey area here, so please stop advocating my pages delation and help me get it approved in some form, again either help me, help them support the Troops with this page or at least stop trying to get it deleted.

I hold a Masters, a MD and PHD, I think I can safely say I understand the rules and regulations of this web site and have not violated them in any way, neither me or my son are mentioned on or appear on its pages, I have never had any contact with this business or web site, nor do I know anyone who has.

I have read and tried to follow the rules, please help me, if you feel my page needs to be deleted, at least show me and my late son the respect of explaining why. Thank You,
