Angielski

edit

Witam Pana Serdecznie! Och, strasznie przyjemnie mnie spotkać rodaka zza morza! Rosyjski i niemiecki z przyczyn politycznych strasznie nienawidziłem. Angielski uwielbiałem i do końca miałem z niego piątkę. A rosyjski? Z głębokim szacunkiem i poważaniem, jeszcze raz dziękując za zadeklarowanie pomocy: --Roland von Bagratuni 04:25, 21 May 2007 (UTC) In English...Reply

Languages

edit

Hi there, thanks a lot for your message - unfortunately, I won't be of much help since I basically "acquired" both languages rather than studying them formally - I did, however, take Ladino classes in college. So, no books or anything I could recommend. Sorry! Maphalda 16:37, 4 June 2007 (UTC)--Reply

Hey. The answer to your question can be found on my personal FAQ. Basically, I learned Kazakh originally in Kazakhstan on my own, and then studied it at Indiana University (Bloomington) over the summer. The have a really good summer programme. —Firespeaker 07:31, 22 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Angel of Sadness

edit

Hi Timpul, I noticed your note to Angel, as I have her talk page on my watchlist. I wanted to let you know that the "warning" that was given to you, was not done by her, as you can see by going into your talk page history, the edit was placed by an anonymous editor, who simply copied her warning to the anonymous editor, and for some strange reason, placed it here. Just so you know, Angel did not do it, and was most likely unaware that the anonymous editor did it, and you were right to remove it. I am sure if Angel had known about the anonymous editor doing such a thing, she would have removed it from your talk page immediately, she's a really kind and helpful editor. I hope this helps to clear things up about this! Unfortunate, but sometimes things like this happen, nonconstructive editors copy another editor's message/signature and place it as though the message was left by them. Silesian number of speakers

edit

Hi,

I saw that you are requesting translation of the article Silesian language to other languages, for example at User talk:Chagai.

Do you have a reliable source about the number of speakers of this language? If you have a reliable source, please add it at least to the article in English. If not, then please stop requesting this translation, because you're spreading dubious data across Wikipedias in many languages.

Omniglot is not a reliable source - see my comment about it at Talk:Silesian language.

Thanks for understanding. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 08:40, 30 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Timpul! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 12 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Proposed deletion of Maołfaonküch

The article Maołfaonküch has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not seeing how a local scrambled egg variant is notable, at least not with the refs provided so far

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of Right of way (shipping)

edit

The article Right of way (shipping) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This stub is in poor English, it is unclear in what it is trying to say and uses a term which navigational textbooks never use. There is no "right of way", the regs only refer to a "stand-on" vessel (see rule 17).

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
