Embassy request
Hello. I see you are a Bengali ambassador. If you have the time or the interest, it would be great if you could add the Bengali translation of the name "Mother Teresa" in the lead of the article. I consider that given that a lot of her work was in Calcutta and considering its main language is Bengali, then probably the latter should be used. If you could provide also with the romanization of the Bengali script, its IPA, so it can be properly read in English, that would be fabulous. Cheers! Thinker78 (talk) 05:24, 8 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Thinker78 hello, it is মাদার টেরেসা। However please note as per WP:NOINDICSCRIPT we generally do not add Indian language script in lead/infobox. --Titodutta (talk) 14:31, 8 March 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the info. Regards, Thinker78 (talk) 18:52, 8 March 2023 (UTC)

Sources
Can you improve the sources on Tritiya Paksha. Current sources are databases. Why is the short film notable? DareshMohan (talk) 21:25, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
- @DareshMohan the article is created 11 years ago. The article somehow has a wrong year in short description now, I'll fix it. This is not a 2018 movie, but a 1931 one. Most probably when I created it I was working on the oldest films of Bengali language — that era.
- About sources: you might some sources at Google Books, and by searching in Bengali, use তৃতীয় পক্ষ ১৯৩১ and তৃতীয় পক্ষ অমর চৌধুরী। There should be information in old (Bengali) newspapers, magazines and physical books — but those are the toughest to find, as most of those are not available by clicks. --Titodutta (talk) 01:14, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
Osmond Memorial Church
Hi
I understand you created the initial article for the above. Would you kindly advise where you got the article about its founder Walter Osmond?
Thanks Otmooron (talk) 14:03, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
- Linking Osmond Memorial Church for easy access from my mobile app currently I am using. The app does not work well while switching user talk and mainspace
- @Otmooron, do you mean verification that Walter Osmond was the founder, or are you looking for more information on his life/biography? Regards. --Titodutta (talk) 01:40, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
- I believe a Walter M Osmond was the founder according to the sign inside the church. I am interested in his life/biography. I have an ancestor Walter M Osmond who lived in Kolkata at that time and his children were baptised at Sudder Street Wesleyan Chapel, but I didn't think he was a pastor. Otmooron (talk) 04:27, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Otmooron ah, alright. I need to check this, and I don't have information right at this moment. Let me see if User:Shyamal can throw some light, if he knows.
BTW, (not for Wikipedia article) if you want additional information about the Church founder, possibly you may consider contacting them. Google search infograph shows a contact number, possibly they will have an email id too. --Titodutta (talk) 04:38, 28 March 2023 (UTC)- I am in email dialogue with the church administrator and have also met the vicar. They don't know but are interested in finding out more about their founder too. Otmooron (talk) 05:00, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry, I know nothing about the church or the matter but here is what familysearch.org gives - Walter Marsh Osmond (15 October 1840 Salisbury, Wiltshire - 10 September 1894, Calcutta) -father noted as William Osmond (1790-1875) - mother Charity Marsh (1799-1851) - married Isabel Bangarrabie Waters (married 1 May 1866) - Children Walter William (christened 9 January 1877) - Lucie Isabella (1879-1894) - Percy Herbert (1872-1964) - Gertrude Mary Hope (born 16 June 1879 - christened 9 July 1879) - he seems to have been wealthy enough to lend money to others (see this case) - so maybe he provided funds for the Church to be built. Shyamal (talk) 08:29, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
- PS: he was a senior partner at a building and architecture firm - Messrs. Mackintosh Burn and Co - see this - a relative (brother?) T. A. Osmond was architect and partner at the same firm. Shyamal (talk) 08:38, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, the information on familysearch.org is my family. One of my cousins believes that he arrived in Kolkata in 1864/5 and started as an assistant at Mackintosh Burn & Co, becoming a partner in 1892 and a senior partner just before his death in 1894. I'm struggling to understand how in 1868 at the age of 28, having been married for only 2 years, and just starting a family (Walter W. born 1868), he was wealthy enough to be able to fund the building of a church as there was no old family wealth. When the Wikipedia entry mentioned the OMC founder was a Methodist missionary evangelist and social worker I was keen to find the source of that information - maybe the founder isn't my ancestor, but the timing, name and baptism of the children in a Kolkata Wesleyan chapel is too much of a coincidence! - Following an RfC, editors indefinitely site-banned by community consensus will now have all rights, including sysop, removed.
- As a part of the Wikimedia Foundation's IP Masking project, a new policy has been created that governs the access to temporary account IP addresses. An associated FAQ has been created and individual communities can increase the requirements to view temporary account IP addresses.
- Bot operators and tool maintainers should schedule time in the coming months to test and update their tools for the effects of IP masking. IP masking will not be deployed to any content wiki until at least October 2023 and is unlikely to be deployed to the English Wikipedia until some time in 2024.
- The arbitration case World War II and the history of Jews in Poland has been closed. The topic area of Polish history during World War II (1933-1945) and the history of Jews in Poland is subject to a "reliable source consensus-required" contentious topic restriction.
- Following a community referendum, the arbitration policy has been modified to remove the ability for users to appeal remedies to Jimbo Wales.

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}

Administrators' newsletter – December 2023
News and updates for administrators from the past month (November 2023).
- Following a talk page discussion, the Administrators' accountability policy has been updated to note that while it is considered best practice for administrators to have notifications (pings) enabled, this is not mandatory. Administrators who do not use notifications are now strongly encouraged to indicate this on their user page.
- Following a motion, the Extended Confirmed Restriction has been amended, removing the allowance for non-extended-confirmed editors to post constructive comments on the "Talk:" namespace. Now, non-extended-confirmed editors may use the "Talk:" namespace solely to make edit requests related to articles within the topic area, provided that their actions are not disruptive.
- The Arbitration Committee has announced a call for Checkusers and Oversighters, stating that it will currently be accepting applications for CheckUser and/or Oversight permissions at any point in the year.
- Eligible users are invited to vote on candidates for the Arbitration Committee until 23:59 December 11, 2023 (UTC). Candidate statements can be seen here.

Thanks for uploading File:Swami Vivekananda on Himself.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:41, 4 January 2024 (UTC)
The article Garfa Dhirendranath Memorial Boys' High School has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
WP:MILL institution. Fails WP:NSCHOOL. The sources that i could find are either primary, or school/college databases.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 03:30, 9 January 2024 (UTC)

Peer Review
Hi @Titodutta. Please take a moment to have me your inputs to this peer review. Thank you. 25 CENTS VICTORIOUS 🍁 19:37, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
- @25 Cents FC I may not be able to participate in a detailed review discussion, but however I can suggest/fix a few minor things on the go. For example, "Within party" table MOS:Endash needs to be fixed. Bharat Jodo Yatra, the article states it "will" end on 20 March in Mumbai. Has not the Shivaji Park event taken place already? Anywhich way, this needs to be updated in a couple of days. The Yatra, was it started by RG or INC?, might be a point of discussion. These are some initial comments. Regards. --Titodutta (talk) 21:01, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
