Subhas Chandra Bose
Sorry User:Tito Dutta you're right. My intention was to insert only the piece of The Tribune of India's article with the horrible way with which Emile received the shocking news of her husband's death. I accidentally added the entire piece. I have now made the necessary adjustments. I apologize for the error. Thank you for your warning!--Cornelius383 (talk) 18:56, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
Images troubles
Thanks User:Titodutta for your help. I wanted to add some pictures in the Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's article. P.R. Sarkar had important contacts in his young life with Netaji and his brother Sarat Chandra Bose (they were his maternal uncles) togheter with Manabendra Nath Roy. Regarding the image files I did the followings: 1)I reduced the file of the image Mn roy2.jpg present in the Manabendra Nath Roy's article, I called it Mn roy 03.jpg and I uploaded it to Wikimedia Commons (I write "my hown works because I transformed the image.. maybe this was my error), and I inserted the image in the Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's article. 2)The same I've done with Netaji's image Subhas Bose.jpg, on Subhas Chandra Bose's article. I downloaded it, I called it Subhas Chandra Bose 02.jpg, I reduced its size, I uploaded it to Wikimedia Commons, and I inserted it in the Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's article. 3)Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar in 1939, (when he was student in Kolkata attending the Vidyasagar College at the local University) stayed at the house of his maternal uncle, Sarat Chandra Bose (aka Sarat Chandra "Basu") that was Subhas Chandra Bose's brother, so was interesting to had an image of him. I found an old image of Surat in www.indianetzone.com/11/sarat_chandra_bose.htm, it was a very old one and I'm sure this work is in the public domain in India because its term of copyright has expired according to The Indian Copyright Act of 1957 [1]. So I downloaded the image sarat-chandra-bose_5285.jpg from indianetzone.com, I changed the original black image's backround with a white one, I reduce the file size and again I added it to P. R. Sarkar's article and also in Sarat Chandra Bose's article. If you help me to mantain the images will be great..--Cornelius383 (talk) 00:54, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- In the Subhas Chandra Bose's article there are any photo of his wife Emilie or of his daughter Anita. I found an old and nice one (emilie_schenkl_anita_bose.jpg) in [2]. I think this image is in the public domain in India because its term of copyright has expired according to The Indian Copyright Act of 1957 [3]. Do you think that I can insert the image in Netaji's article? Thanks again--Cornelius383 (talk) 01:14, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- I am an admirer of Anandamurti! I have read few of his books too (like Bangla o Bangali etc). He was an incredibly talented person! It is unfortunate that we could not spread and cultivate his works as it should have been. Anadamurti was a world class linguist too. If you know Bengali, he coined many terms in Bengali like "ketan" for English word "brand" etc.
- Yes, 1957 copyrights act document is applicable, but, you need to add – 1) When the image was taken 2) Who took the image (write "unknown" if you are not sure). 3) From where you got the image (website page URL or write scanned from photograph, f you scanned from any book, newspaper or magazine, mention it).
- After adding recent images in Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar artcile, there is an image flooding problem! Image of Subhas Bose etc are not necessary. Also give citation in support of Bose was a relative of Sarkar.
- There is not any article in Wikipedia in Prabhat Sangeet, it can be created
- In bibliography section there are too many red links. Are you going to create articles on these?
- About photo of Emilie and Anita, if it was taken ouside India, Indian copyright act is not applicable. In Sisir Bose's books, there are some good images of Emilie, Anita, Subhas Bose, , you can collect from there! If you want to talk on this, please create a new section in this talk page on Bose's images!--Tito Dutta ✉ 01:23, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- As Johan Galtung, Leonardo Boff, Sohail Inayatullah, Ravi Batra and many others I also consider Shrii Shrii Anandamurti one of the brightest personalities of modern India. I read many of His books and every time I read a new one I'm always very impressed by the strength and adequacy of his philosophy. All the red links in the Bibliography section of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's article are becouse it will be interesting to insert some of his books in Wp (but maybe they are too many and I will eliminate some of them). As you have seen the photo of Netaji's brother Sarat (that I inserted in Sarkar's article 'couse he was his mathernal uncle and hosted in his house Sarkar when he was a student in Kolkata) was removed from Wikimedia even though I changed the background and size.. (shame!). It's a good idea to create an article on Prabhat Sangeet! I should like to create one on Microvita theory, Biopsychology, Sarkar's Neohumanism and sistem of education when I will have some time. Anyway thank you for your support.--Cornelius383 (talk) 19:21, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
Shuar
Hi Tito - what is the source of information about the ethnicity of the person whose photo you inserted in the article on Shuar people? Guamote is not within the Shuar area and the person's clothes looks more like what is usually used among the Andean groups - perhaps Kichwa/Quichua. The link to photopedia also doesn't seem to have any information about the ethnicity of the person portrayed. ·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 02:06, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- I am not sure, see User_talk:SlimVirgin#Shuar.21. --Tito Dutta ✉ 02:09, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- Please don't use that comment as your source, Tito. If you're not sure, and someone has raised a doubt, it's best to leave the image out. SlimVirgin (talk) 02:13, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- Has been replaced in the article! No, I am not sure! --Tito Dutta ✉ 02:17, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- Try to make a google image search for "Shuar" the people you will see look quite different from the woman in the photo. Then do a search for Guamote and see the likeness. The text at photopedia is lifted from wikipedia and simply describes the indigenous peoples of Ecuador it mentions both Quechua and Shuar and all the other indigenous groups and doesn't appoly specifically to the photo as far as I can discern.·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 02:20, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- That's what I did, left a message in SV's talk page! IMO, the article's (i.e. Shuar people) lead section needs expansion. Let me know if you think I can help! --Tito Dutta ✉ 02:27, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- I think I may be able to. Thanks for working on the page btw.·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 02:52, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

We have reduced our target group of articles—January, February, and March 2011—by over half, and it looks like we will achieve that goal. Good progress is being made on the overall backlog as well, with over 500 articles copy-edited during the drive so far. The total backlog currently sits at around 3200 articles. Rollback
Your request for rollback
Hi Titodutta. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! v/r - TP 20:01, 22 May 2012 (UTC)

Hello!
Need your help. This article was probably created by some fan User talk:Orientalarts. Or maybe they have the information in non-English or non-online sources. The user is new. After i cleaned it to remove all peacock terms and added citation needed tags the user seems to either have got frustrated or something. He simply blanked the whole page. He did same with few related images he had uploaded and also does that to his own talk page.
I tried to find some RS on the subject but didn't get anything than just passing mention. Hence maybe you could find something in Bengali sources and add it. The content doesn't seem completely fake and made-up to me. You could have a look at it and remove stuff that you feel are completely wrong. Enjoy! §§AnimeshKulkarni (talk) 06:08, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
- And... the user doesn't talk. Simply blanks pages after some other users started interacting with them. §§AnimeshKulkarni (talk) 06:10, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
- They have done a tremendous research work! I have heard about Kalipada Ghoshal. The article is more a research work than an encyclopedia article.
- I think I will be able to collect references only for– Shakuntala painting, Shiva drinking painting (they have not mentioned it in the article).
- But, all the external links are useless, does not follow Wikipedia guidelines and there is almost nothing in those links! --Tito Dutta ✉ 07:12, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
- No problem. Take your time. The references of offline print media which the user has added might be very well true. But they are all like 1980s. Plus the user doesn't do much talking. Anyways.... Thanks for the help. §§AnimeshKulkarni (talk) 07:31, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
Kaul Article in my Sandbox
Hi Tito, thanks for your suggestions and have updated the Kashmiri Pandit article using content from my Sandbox. Have now created a draft for improving the 'Kaul' article. Can you spend some time on it in my sandbox and let me know your feedback and comments. Good day. '- Ambar (talk) 09:04, 26 May 2012 (UTC)

Your inputs required (Kashmiri Pandit)
I had updated the Kashmiri Pandit article based on my Sandbox content. However, all the edits have been reverted by user Sitush. I have asked him to highlight and explain his concerns. Your inputs on the reverts would be appreciated. -Ambar (talk) 08:32, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
- i posted in the talk page of the article, Sitush has replied, now your input is needed --Tito Dutta ✉ 15:33, 30 May 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for the posting. I have again explained the reasons for including the Pandit definition and other inclusions in the Kashmiri Pandit article. However, user Sitush continues to delete all the content that I add (over several articles) even though it is supported by credible sources and citations. Is this not vandalism of a kind? I surely feel so. Anyways, there is surely a gap here. Your neutral point of view would help. 'Ambar (talk) 09:41, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Tito, have updated the etymology section on the Kashmiri Pandit article in my Sandbox based on yours & Sitush's inputs. I feel that the statement about Kashmir Saivism can remain as the link itself takes one to the wiki page which explains the statement. Am still not clear why the entire content was erased by user Sitush. I think this is strange but perhaps more dicussions will clarify this. -Ambar (talk) 07:32, 2 June 2012 (UTC)
- About etymology: lots of peacock terms and unnecessary details.. keep those in one line (and in lede). --Tito Dutta ✉ 08:07, 2 June 2012 (UTC)
- Further edited my Sandbox, & hope its getting more acceptable with lesser puffery. Look forward to a quick agreement to initiate some improvements in the article on Kashmiri Pandits, which it desperately needs. -Ambar (talk) 09:23, 2 June 2012 (UTC)

Indic scripts
The discussion at WT:INB happening at Wikipedia_talk:Noticeboard_for_India-related_topics#Native_language_RfC is quite slow. Anyways.... my recent post there questions editors of what should be done when sounds of few alphabets present in Indian languages can't be expressed with either IPA or IAST. I have give one example of Marathi alphabet ळ. Are there any such cases in Bengali, some alphabets whose pronunciation is not available in either of the two systems? If you have any such examples, please post there. §§AnimeshKulkarni (talk) 13:48, 30 May 2012 (UTC)
- I feel, words with consecutive letters with silent "अ" may be difficult to write in IPA. If कमल is written as "kml" that is correct, but the vowel bridge is missing. to explain कमल is क्+अ+म्+ल्, in IPA script कमल becomes kml– vowel bridge is missing, so though kml is correct, it can not be pronounced unless an "अ/ə" is added, so the IPA for becomes: kəməl, if I have to write कमल in IPA, I'll write kəməl.
- Some more examples of words with consecutive letters with silent "अ", please write in IPA– बदन, चन्दन, सजल etc. --Tito Dutta ✉ 15:11, 30 May 2012 (UTC)
- Thats okay! If we can write it, how we write is a small problem. What i really wanted from you is to know if there are any alphabets in Bengali whose sound can not be represented through IPA or IAST. §§AnimeshKulkarni (talk) 14:50, 1 June 2012 (UTC)

Subhas Chandra Bose
Titodutta I don't understand.. Qwyrxian ask to insert citations from the original book in a section without quotations!. Now I have personally consulted the original volume (no scribid) and I inserted it in the references (the original Sarkar's biography book Dharmavedananda, Ácárya (1999). Travel with the Mystic Master. Singapore: Ananda Marga Publications. ISBN 981-04-0864-1.) and you deleted.. Now I deleted the note 24 (with the news of Subhas deat). The other notes are not mine! Replaceable fair use File:Suchitra Sen photo.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Suchitra Sen photo.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. - Another question is why do you delete the link from Bose's article with the article of his brother Sarat Chandra Bose? Do you think that this information is not thrue?--Cornelius383 (talk) 15:41, 3 June 2012 (UTC)
- Can not understand which link your are talking about, search in books.google.com and/or search in Google and add inurl:gov in your search query for good RS. I can try to find RS too, if you want. creating a new section below for your question on Sarkar! --Tito Dutta ✉ 15:46, 3 June 2012 (UTC)

The link was on my previous edit of Bose's article. I inserted a WP-link (from the Bose's early life section) with the brother of Subhas (the link was with the Sarat Chandra Bose's article in the en-WP).. But you deleted it when you deleted my edits on it--Cornelius383 (talk) 16:15, 3 June 2012 (UTC)
