Your edits were reverted by user:XLinkBot, a bot account that automatically prevents the addition of certain links to Wikipedia article's. In this case it detected your addition of a twitter link and rollbacked this change. One unfortunate consequence of rollback usage is that it undoes all consecutive edits by the same user (Thus reverting your other edits as well). Titodutta only removed the text "changed al this, why has it been put back to the old version eh?" which you added in the main article body. Spock's full name

You shouldn't remove valid information from an article just because you think "the article was better before I made that change". That's not a good enough reason. Wikipedia articles about fictional characters are supposed to show the character's full name, even if that full name is very long and from a novel that's not well known, like in the article Wizard of Oz (character). I've added a proper citation, so please don't revert it again. If you want to improve the article, you can add more information, rather than removing information that's already there. --NetSpiker (talk) 11:40, 18 March 2017 (UTC)

Re-initiating INCOTM

It's been almost an year since "Indian collaboration of the month" was active. Firstly we need to restart this as soon as possible for development of India-related articles to greater heights. After this message gets delivered, we'll wait for 7 days before we start a discussion under a thread on the collaboration's talk page, among the members. Guideline and policy news

• Following a discussion on the backlog of unpatrolled files, consensus was found to create a new user right for autopatrolling file uploads. Implementation progress can be tracked on Phabricator.
• The BLPPROD grandfather clause, which stated that unreferenced biographies of living persons were only eligible for proposed deletion if they were created after March 18, 2010, has been removed following an RfC.
• An RfC has closed with consensus to allow proposed deletion of files. The implementation process is ongoing.
• After an unsuccessful proposal to automatically grant IP block exemption, consensus was found to relax the criteria for granting the user right from needing it to wanting it.

Technical news

• After a recent RfC, moved pages will soon be featured in a queue similar to Special:NewPagesFeed and require patrolling. Moves by administrators, page movers, and autopatrolled editors will be automatically marked as patrolled.
• Cookie blocks have been deployed. This extends the current autoblock system by setting a cookie for each block, which will then autoblock the user if they switch accounts, even under a new IP.

Need help and guidness

Hey Titodutta, how are you? I want to discuss something with you about an article on Wikipedia. The article is about Indian actress Vidya Balan. Since you're a senior editor and I have a kind of understanding with you, so I think that It would be good to seek help and guidness from you.

There is an article on Wikipedia about "List of Hindi film clans". This article also features the "Roy Kapur family" clan. Vidya Balan is married to Siddharth Roy Kapur, so that means that Roy Kapur family is also Vidya Balan's family and the members of the family are her in-laws. And everyone knows that In-laws are relatives. So I replaced this "|relatives = Priyamani (second cousin)" with this "|relatives = See Roy Kapur family" on her info-box section ("List of Hindi film clans#Roy Kapur family" also has name of Priyamani) but a user whose name is "Krimuk2.0" reverted my edits with these reasons "Her in-laws aren't her relatives, but her husband's" and "In-laws are what they are, not relatives. also, stop using personal attacks unless you wish to be blocked". Now you tell me what should I do. I know that I am right, In-laws are family members (if not then why Bachchan family is added to Aishwarya Rai and Jaya Bhaduri's info-box, Kapoor family is added to Neetu Singh and Babita Kappor's info-box and so many more), but he reverted my edits twice with lame excuses and also threatned me that he'll block me. Then I discussed it with another editors they said that Krimuk2.0 is a senior editor, they can't do anything about it. Now you tell that can't a senior editor do a mistake. Everyone knows that he's at fault and I am right but they are not doing anything cuz they don't want to mess with a "senior editor" (who can block them). I may be wrong but there are few reasons why i wanted to create this page: Emergency medicine is budding and is rapidly growing in India, he started the first emergency department in CMC, Vellore. His contributions have helped in starting post graduate EM in India, He is in the advisory board for EM in medical council of India, his textbooks are the only EM textbooks by Indian author, he is member of Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. He has been chief editor of journals in his field. He is chair and prof of named institution and also in social work during natural calamities, Disaster management course director in Bits etc. these are just a few i felt are important sir.

Guideline and policy news

• An RfC has clarified that user categories should be emptied upon deletion, but redlinked user categories should not be removed if re-added by the user.
• Discussions are ongoing regarding proposed changes to the COI policy. Changes so far have included clarification that adding a link on a Wikipedia forum to a job posting is not a violation of the harassment policy.

Technical news

• You can now see a list of all autoblocks at Special:AutoblockList.
• There is a new tool for adding archives to dead links. Administrators are able to restrict other user's ability to use the tool, and have additional permissions when changing URL and domain data.
• Administrators, bureaucrats and stewards can now set an expiry date when granting user rights. (discuss, permalink)

Miscellaneous

• Following an RfC, the editing restrictions page is now split into a list of active restrictions and an archive of those that are old or on inactive accounts. Make sure to check both pages if searching for a restriction.
