Hello Towo, welcome to Wikipedia. You might like to start by reading the tutorial and introducing yourself at the new users page. If you have any questions, you can ask at the help desk or on my talk page. Two useful tips are that you can sign your name using four tildes (~~~~) and you can preview your changes before you save using the show preview button. You can regularly find new tips on the Community Portal. I look forward to reading your great articles and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. Angela. 12:24, 17 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Hello,

I renamed your account as requested on Wikipedia:Changing_username. If you encounter any problems, please drop me a note. -- JeLuF 21:27, Jul 4, 2004 (UTC)

Cool, thanks. :) -- towo 20:00, 2004 Jul 9 (UTC)

Howdy.

Article Space Elevator links to "The Space Elevator" NIAC report by Dr. Bradley C. Edwards.

Does that answer your question on Talk:Power_beaming ? (It seems an odd place for that question, since that article (currently) does not mention any "edwards").

Could you give me a clue as to where you think the copyvio came from ? Then I could delete the violating sentences, and link to the original source.

I hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia.

Hey there, man.

edit

Do you want to work in Children of Bodom with me? It's pretty dull working alone and I see that you have a lot of interest in the band. :) I am also removing that "power metal" BS... that has gone on long enough.

Cheers!

Bundesland-level categories

edit

Hello! I see you are listed in Category:Wikipedians in Germany. I have made subcategories for each Bundesland in case you would like to add yourself to the appropriate one. See Category:Wikipedians in Germany for a list of the subcategories (they use the English names, the same as their Wikipedia articles). --Angr (tɔk) 16:22, 15 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Dungkeep.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Dungkeep.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. « ₣ullMetal ₣alcon » 19:43, 2 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Finntroll-Trollhammaren.jpeg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Finntroll-Trollhammaren.jpeg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:04, 5 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
