Hello, I'm Doc Strange. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Robert Smith (musician), but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Doc StrangeMailboxLogbook 19:43, 17 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Tobiasstewart. I noticed that your recent edit to Arthur Brown (musician) added a link to an image on an external website or on your computer, or to a file name that does not exist on Wikipedia's server. For technical and policy reasons it is not possible to use images from external sources on Wikipedia. Most images you find on the internet are copyrighted and cannot be used on Wikipedia, or their use is subject to certain restrictions. If the image meets Wikipedia's image use policy, consider uploading it to Wikipedia yourself or request that someone else upload it. See the image tutorial to learn about wiki syntax used for images. Thank you. Sumanuil. 02:26, 1 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Your Arthur Brown question

edit

Hello and welcome! You'll have way better luck getting your questions answered on one of the active help center pages, Wikipedia:Teahouse or on the Wikipedia:Help desk than you will posting your question on a random inactive IP user's talk page. I'm not able to assist you with your specific question further, but I wish you the best of luck getting your question answered in one of those two places I've linked. Cheers.

Please do not add or change content without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. FMSky (talk) 17:47, 30 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi Tobiasstewart! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Ian Dury that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Looking back at your last 50 edits, nearly all have not been minor. Sciencefish (talk) 07:24, 31 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Happy Mondays into Shaun Ryder. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 22:44, 8 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
