With DanielleForrester1991 currently, Looking at Elaboration likelihood model currently but not quite decided yet on the subject , not too fussed --TomFirth19 (talk) 14:53, 7 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Well if we can have a group of 5, Me, You, Irina, Danielle and Alicia could work together, we just thought of doing a theory that is on the exam so its like revision, and I thought of doing Expectancy violations theory becuase we can add diagrams onto the page and write about them :D --Natalie Brocklesby (talk) 15:07 7 March 2014 (UTC)

Core Concepts

edit

Tom, you're covering the Core concepts section, am I right? Please can I remove this line:

"The third element that must be addressed before predicting reciprocation[disambiguation needed] or compensation[disambiguation needed] involves assessing the person whose behavior is in question."

This is part of the assumptions, as discussed in the Theoretical viewpoints and assumptions section. Once I have done this I will then reword the following paragraph for more clarity:

"Beyond explaining individuals’ physical space and privacy needs, EVT also makes specific predictions as to how individuals will react to a given violation. Will you reciprocate, or match, someone’s unexpected behavior, perhaps moving closer or turning toward the individual? Or will you compensate, or counteract, by doing the opposite of your partner’s behavior? Before making a prediction about reciprocation or compensation, however, you must evaluate EVT’s three core concepts: expectancy, violation valence, and communicator reward valence."

Is this okay with you?

Yes you can remove it --TomFirth19 (talk) 18:23, 19 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
Thankyou for your help today with uploading the diagram, I will see you soon Natbrock (talk) 17:02, 18 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

I'm hoping to do so either tonight or tomorrow afternoon, dependent on how well things go tonight. Plan to then edit my user page before friday morning. --TomFirth19 (talk) 18:23, 19 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
That sounds great tom :D Natbrock (talk) 18:28, 19 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Yea you have done a lot Tom for a start you helped me and alicia with the diagram :D Natbrock (talk) 18:49, 19 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
True yeah. Just about done it now. Part one is all ready for upload to the main page tomorrow, part two of my two sections I want to just change a few things on tomorrow night and add a couple more references but it's just about sorted now. will certainly be done so by tomorrow night. will do abit more interaction tomorrow too. :D --TomFirth19 (talk) 01:36, 20 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
that sounds great to me tom, I might see if I can do anything else to my other section today :DNatbrock (talk) 09:03, 20 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Yayy Love seeing that the time code says 01:36 am and I'm on Wikipedia , Yeah .... --TomFirth19 (talk) 01:37, 20 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Haha I bet you do! Nat, the diagram looks great. Thanks Tom, I'm going to change it now. I've almost done with my sections, I'm gonna finish the final bit of mine and have it up this evening. So much of my sections were unreferenced >:( DanielleForrester1991 (talk) 11:06, 20 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Ok so did alot of the stuff I wanted to change today , think i'm just about done now. Got the presentation to put together and to move my amended sections from my sandbox to the real page. Will do those tomorrow though.

Besides that, the section of core concepts that the previous author wrote didn't correlate that well with Griffins book. Bits did but changed alot. All sorted now though

List for me to solve tomorrow

Continue interaction with you two

Add a little to my user page

Move my section from sandbox into live page

Create presentation

Scream ;)

Think that's all and yes I'm aware it's 2am (again) apparently my brain functions best at this time TomFirth19 (talk) 01:59, 21 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Expectancy violations theory, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Characteristics (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Fixed by deleting the link as non of the options on the disambiguation page having being applicable. Thank you for the help --TomFirth19 (talk) 21:37, 21 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
