Speedy deletion nomination of User:TrendingChina

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:TrendingChina requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hi, I was using my user page space to draft a write-up of an article for improvement, but was suddenly all deleted by the user Drm310 for no reason citing a violation regarding 'web-hosting', not sure what that means, this may be an accidental automated false-positive? Using user-space area for drafting article are allowed according to draft article. Please restore TrendingChina (talk) 15:27, 19 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Your userpage is not for drafting articles. You will need to contact the admin who deleted the page, User:Jimfbleak to discuss thus. -- Whpq (talk) 19:44, 19 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

As Whpq says, your main user page isn't for drafts, it's for you to tell us about your activities on wikipedia, drafts should be in draft space or a sandbox.

Your draft wouldn't be accepted as it stands anyway.

  • It's almost entirely unsourced, what you write needs independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts. It looks as if you are writing the article backwards, dumping a lot of text and then looking for references. You should find references first and then write the text from that.
  • Even the two refs you do give are incomplete; they have bare urls, and although you give a title, there isn't a named source or author.
  • I'm prepared to recreate as a draft if you wish, but first check that you can actually find references for what you claim. Also note that you must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial; text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.

My draft as it stands was incomplete which is why some of the citations/references are as of the time missing which I already planned to properly cite and put into place upon completion (as one may notice at the time of deletion, the draft is somewhat of an mess) but was all removed before these corrections were able to take effect through the editing proccess. If possible please re-store/recreate the draft (im not sure where the draft space is or how to create it) and/or move it to where the 'draft space' area is suppose to be so proper fixes to the draft article can be made to be more properly in line of manual of style. Thanks TrendingChina (talk) 10:38, 20 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Blocked for sockpuppetry

[edit]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/TrendingChina. It has been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
