Hello! I noticed you removed some content at Luther Adler but did not provide an explanatory edit summary. As the edit did not appear to be obvious vandalism I went ahead and undid it for now. If I made a mistake please leave me a message. Thanks, Roborule (talk) 03:31, 6 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Cast lists

edit

Hi there. I see that you've been expanding cast lists. You should take a look at our guideline on cast lists, which instructs us not to indiscriminately list everyone in the film. In particular, uncredited roles should not be listed, as they are too trivial, especially when the character is unnamed (man on street #4 does not count as a name), has no lines, and is unmentioned in the film's plot summary. Wikipedia catalogs pertinent information, not all information. When articles are expanded to the length that you're doing, they become difficult to read, because people can not tell what information is truly relevant and what is unnecessary detail. It takes a while to get used to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and they may seem counterintuitive at first. There are lots of places where you can find help, though! I like WikiProject Film, and I think you may enjoy it, too. We have a very helpful and friendly forum. The help disk is also a very useful forum for asking questions about editing Wikipedia. edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at 2015 in home video. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Zackmann08 (Talk to me/What I been doing) 03:03, 21 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Peanuts filmography, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Survey Invite

edit

I'm working on a study of political motivations and how they effect editing. I'd like to ask you to take a survey. The survey should take 5 minutes. Your survey responses will be kept private. Our project is documented at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Wikipedia_%2B_Politics.

Survey Link: http://uchicago.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_80J3UDCpLnKyWTH?Q_DL=5jRFD5Mzx9sHZLT_80J3UDCpLnKyWTH_MLRP_dg2TzHA0287Ufd3&Q_CHL=gl

I am asking you to participate in this study because you are a frequent editor of pages on Wikipedia that are of political interest. We would like to learn about your experiences in dealing with editors of different political orientations.

Sincere thanks for your help! Porteclefs (talk) 15:50, 25 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited George S. Irving, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Geppetto (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Saturday Supercade, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 02:18, 31 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
