Hello, Trunk, and welcome to Wikipedia! I notice that you've already jumped right into the wiki process and commented on half a dozen discussions on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. I appreciate your enthusiasm, but please make sure you have read, understood, and accepted our deletion policy so that your comments are informed by the consensus of the community on the topic of article deletion. "People have worked on this article" is not a valid reason to keep an article around. Also, since you are a brand new user, it might be wise for you to gain experience editing articles first, and refrain worrying about internal Wikipedia processes like AfD until you have some experience on the ground. Just my advice. —Caesura(t) 18:53, 14 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Trunk, I didn't mean to offend you. But some pages in the project namespace are, to put it bluntly, mired in bureaucracy, and AfD is one of them. There is a lot of Wikipedia policy underlying AfD decisions, and it is not easy for newcomers to jump right into it. That said, if you wish to participate in the deletion process, I don't want to disparage you about it. That's why in my first comment I gave you a link to a policy page where you can start reading about the deletion policy and make more informed comments. The point of the penultimate sentence in my first comment was simply that you might find it more rewarding to edit in the article namespace, where, as you alluded, our guidelines encourage you to be bold. My only request is that if you choose to comment on deletion discussions, you base your comments on policy as the rest of us do, not on your personal feelings about an article. —Caesura(t) 19:31, 14 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
