Edit warring on user talk pages
[edit]Thanks so much for your reverting vandalism work, greatly appreciated, but generally, it's a good idea to not revert users on their own talks pages, as the talk page warning responses are part of what assesses faith of the user, and whether to revoke TPA or not immediately upon blocking. Your many reverts will also clog up the page history of user talk pages, which makes it harder for admins to look back at revisions and review and/or suppress them, this only creates more administrator work. Your work is greatly appreciated but some good advice is to not revert vandals on their own user talk pages.

Adding Content to Opn Restore Democracy (Haiti 1994)
[edit]Hello TurquoiseGoose!
This is my first time contributing to Wikipedia. The information that I have tried to add (the addition of MP units that participated in the Haiti operation, and the information about the raid to capture LTC Josephat in Haiti, are from my personal first person information. What kind of references can I add to validate the info? I have newspaper clippings from our deployment from Ft. Polk Louisiana showing that our units WERE part of this mission. I also have a type-written After Action Report about the raid that I will be using for my autobiography at some point in the future.
Thanks, in advance for your help! Max ~2026-43842-66 (talk) 01:32, 10 August 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for responding, and welcome to Wikipedia! Wikipedia wants its content to be reliable and verifiable, so we don't allow information solely based on original research or personal experiences. That said, (independent) newspaper coverage would be a reliable source for the information. I will leave more information on your talk page on the sourcing guidelines and how to properly cite them. Thanks! - TurquoiseGoose•they/them•(talk) 01:36, 10 August 2026 (UTC)

Images of Yeva Goldfarb-Borgese's sculptures
[edit]Hello TurquoiseGoose. I am the editor who created the article about Yeva Goldfarb-Borgese. I noticed that the four images of her sculptures were removed when you reverted edits made by the user YEVA SCULPTEUR because of the conflict-of-interest concern.
I understand and agree that, as the subject of the article, Yeva Goldfarb-Borgese should avoid directly editing the article about herself. However, I believe that the conflict-of-interest issue and the encyclopedic relevance of the images themselves should be considered separately.
The four images are hosted on Wikimedia Commons with appropriate licensing and depict sculptures created by Goldfarb-Borgese. They directly illustrate the artistic work discussed in the article and therefore seem relevant to its content.
As the editor who created the article, I would like to ask whether you would object to my restoring these four images. If you have concerns about any particular image or its placement in the article, I would be happy to discuss them first.
Best regards, Eraevsky (talk) 20:35, 13 August 2026 (UTC)
- Hi! I don't have an objection to the images themselves, I just reverted the edits because of the undiscussed COI edits. Feel free to re add them. - TurquoiseGoose•they/them•(talk) 20:39, 13 August 2026 (UTC)

School Wikipedia
[edit]You removed everything I edited from Park View High School (Loudoun County, Virginia), even though I updated a lot of outdated and false information, including data and statistics that I pulled from our county's website and cited. This included adding a lot of new information, for which I had sources I cited. I am also an employee there, so I have first-hand knowledge.
The section I removed was so riddled with false information that it seemed pointless to keep it at all. The far right has been using our school and marginalized community as a punching bag, and clearly someone had placed false and misleading information within that section just to cause further problems for our community. ~2026-44692-06 (talk) 00:26, 16 August 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, since you are an employee of the subject, you have a conflict of interest. I will leave a COI edit notice on your talk page. Please read it and do not edit the article directly. - TurquoiseGoose•they/them•(talk) 00:28, 16 August 2026 (UTC)
- Great, I guess the sources I cited do not matter, nor does it matter that there is false information throughout the Wiki page, since the information presented is not actually in the currently cited articles. ~2026-44692-06 (talk) 00:31, 16 August 2026 (UTC)
2026_United_States_House_of_Representatives_Massachusetts_Primary
[edit]I have never edited a Wiki page before - I need help.
Jonathan Paz endorsement sources. https://www.pazforthepeople.com/
The sourced Facebook pages are unfortunately the "websites" of these non-profit org.s including the Maynard Town Dems.
https://bluevoterguide.org/MA/candidate_Jonathan_Paz/319877 has some of the endorsements listed. Can you cite this? as a footnote?
I can't figure out how to add a footnote so I just added the web links.
I'm a citizen-volunteer. Here is the contact for the Paz campaign: info@ pazforthepeople.com
Edited Version - how does this get published?

- @TurquoiseGoose please help me with the District 5 endorsement box for Jonathan Paz. I can't use the visual editor in a box (set up by someone else) so I don't know how to properly cite things. Even the list format has indented bullets I somehow created.
- Sorry to be so inept! The source citing is very, very confusing for a first timer.
