Great Map/Page you can make
Hi Tweedledumb2, i like the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:2001-2011_White_British.gif and the page of Immigration under New Labour from 1997 - 2010 that you did. Great thinking about making those. I am just wondering can you make a page of Immigration under Conservative from 2010 - Since and a White AmericanGif.
For the WhiteamericanGif you can use these numbers for it [[1]]. Thanks again. La lopi (talk) 12:39, 25 June 2022 (UTC).
- Hi there @La lopi! Thanks for the kind words on my maps so far, I plan to create more for different groups hopefully in the future so nice encouragement is appreciated. I can get to work for you on the White America gif, there is a whole list of demographic breakdown percentages by race going back to around 1790 on the census.gov website, so I will do one from their peak in 1960 to today's latest figures in 2020. On the topic of the immigration page, I could pitch in and help with another page on most current immigration changes to the UK's immigration system (the main Modern immigration to the United Kingdom page itself needs alot of work and a whole re-design to be honest, and for that matter causes problems even with my own page I created with too many 'spin off' pages on different time periods on immigration to the UK) although my main focus at the moment is expanding the Demographics of the UK page but again I would be happy to pitch in and help. Thanks again! Tweedledumb2 (talk) 13:03, 27 June 2022 (UTC)
Hi Thanks for saying You will do an WhiteamericanGif from their peak in 1960 to today's latest figures in 2020. I am just wondering what time-frame do you think you will finish the project?, Say by the end of July or August. Thanks again. La lopi (talk) 13:10, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
- Hi again, I have basically done 75% of the work for it so fingers crossed I should be done by the end of the week but I will let you know. Kind regards, Tweedle (talk) 09:08, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
Hi Again, keep me updated on this page when its done. By the way how much % is it done now. Thanks again. La lopi (talk) 04:05, 14 July 2022 (UTC)
- @La lopi Done, enjoy! (I have gone ahead and added it to the White Americans page as well) Tweedle (talk) 13:37, 14 July 2022 (UTC)
Thanks for that, i will spread it around. La lopi (talk) 14:20, 14 July 2022 (UTC)
Hi again, i had a quick look at European Canadians and i didn't found any map on it, so i was just wondering can you make an Gif for European Canadians too, here are the sources [[2]]. Now sadly these numbers don't have numbers for the state/provinces so it could just be the national numbers. Your work on Demographics and Wikipedia is much appreciated. La lopi (talk) 14:46, 14 July 2022 (UTC)
- @La lopi Thanks for the kind words, I believe you are correct, the numbers on that section are from books who took just the overall numbers of European Canadians and put them into percentages, however I believe from 1996 onwards censuses for Canada are viewable (with provincial data as well) so I could make a Gif from 1996 to 2016 on the European/White population percentage of Canada if you would like me to. Currently anyway, I did make a map for European Canadians for the 2016 census a while back (albeit not my best map), so you are free to link if you would like to for the mean time, the link to it is here. Tweedle (talk) 15:18, 14 July 2022 (UTC)
Thanks for that insight, i used that old map of yours for the time being like you said. When do you think you would finish the newer map. by the end of the month?. Thanks again. La lopi (talk) 15:55, 14 July 2022 (UTC)
- I can most likely finish one by the end of the month (if not sooner), beauty with Canada's provinces is there is only I believe like 10 at max and 4 censuses I would need to do a map for, unlike the U.S where there is 50 states and 6 censuses to do! Tweedle (talk) 16:05, 14 July 2022 (UTC)
- Thats great news.La lopi (talk) 16:20, 14 July 2022 (UTC)
- @La lopi Managed to do this very quickly, enjoy! Tweedle (talk) 21:38, 14 July 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Tweedle have you been paying attention two times Loopy30 has Reverted the Map of ours the European Canadians. i was just wondering what do you think we should do about it. Can you check out the revisions. La lopi (talk) 12:31, 16 July 2022 (UTC)
- @La lopi I have just seen now, I have gone ahead and created a talk page request for splitting the article in two for a White Canadian article so that the dispute that has been on there for a while can be fixed. Tweedle (talk) 10:25, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Tweedle thanks for doing that, it seems like that person had a bias becouse when i checked Asian Canadians and Black Canadians they had maps for those groups but not for European Canadians. Hope they fix that issue soon. Anyway to keep moving forward i was looking at European New Zealanders and found that they didn't have a map, now i checked that and found out that Statistics New Zealand themselves do in fact use the term European New Zealanders. so we can use that. here are the sources [[3]]
I don't know if you would like to make a population distribution map or just a National % map.La lopi (talk) 23:57, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
- The problem with the White Canadian percentage (and map I created) is while you can make an inference of how many there are in Canada from deducting the visible minority population and aboriginal population from the total population, is that the statistic is not formally published by StatsCanada so it falls under WP:OR, I will respond to that thread later today. Tweedle (talk) 13:19, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
Hi Tweedle just wondering can you make a European New Zealanders gif. Here are the sources [[4]]
I don't know if you would like to make a population distribution map or just a National % map. can't found a population distribution map for each census only the national %. Thanks again. La lopi (talk) 09:54, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
- @La lopi I believe data goes down to as local as county level for New Zealand as the Demographics of New Zealand page features one for each race in the 'Ethnicity' section which are sadly out of date but for 2013. I'll have a look around as I am sure I can probably find data for each of New Zealand's Islands which go back to the 2000's and get back to you. Tweedle (talk) 10:48, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
- @La lopi Done 2018 for Europeans currently, the file is viewable here. I'll do an image for each different ethnicity group defined by New Zealand like Maori and Asian for example then I will do a gif for a Europeans from around 2006 to the current image time stamp of 2018. Tweedle (talk) 13:10, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
- @La lopi All 3 done, Maori, Asian and Pacific peoples. Tweedle (talk) 16:08, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
- Great work Tweedle, like always. La lopi (talk) 06:18, 22 July 2022 (UTC)
- Done gif, enjoy once again! Tweedle (talk) 14:01, 22 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Tweedle now that we done the White American/European Canadian and New Zealanders, the only one map which is missing is European Australians. With the other 3 gifs we been lucky that they had population distribution numbers for each area. With the European/White Australians i can't found anything like that, i only can see a National numbrs. Here are the sources [[5]] La lopi (talk) 04:42, 23 July 2022 (UTC)
- @La lopi I believe you are correct, there are no national numbers for when the census changes in the 1980's into an ancestry question for regional data for the states of Australia. I have completed a map up from 1947 to 1966 which during that period collected the race of the citizens of Australia and regional data so far but I do not believe I will be able to do modern data regionally due to the fact that the Australian Bureau of Statistics didn't bother to include such statistics. If you want I could just turn the map into one nationally for these years but I guess that defeats the point of mapping out racial/ethnic/ancestral demographics in the first place. Tweedle (talk) 10:22, 23 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Tweedle You can try it, lets see how it looks, anyway you really like doing maps with regional data that reminds me of data that i have been putting on [[6]] of each Australia state by % of English speakers. you can try doing that gif as well. Thanks again. La lopi (talk) 12:27, 23 July 2022 (UTC)
- Hahahaha I should start charging a rate for these. Anyway I have done the European Australian gif from 1947 to 1966; can be found here. Tweedle (talk) 16:35, 23 July 2022 (UTC)
- @La lopi Done 2018 for Europeans currently, the file is viewable here. I'll do an image for each different ethnicity group defined by New Zealand like Maori and Asian for example then I will do a gif for a Europeans from around 2006 to the current image time stamp of 2018. Demographics of ...
I had a look at Demographics of Slough and am pretty impressed. The only significant table I missed was age profile. John Maynard Friedman (talk) 19:48, 29 June 2022 (UTC)
- Good suggestion and thank you, alot of the 'Demographics of (UK city/town)', and Wikipedia's demographic's page's as a whole, are bare bones currently and could do with more information so I have been trying my best in adding stuff to them. I believe the new 2021 census figures cover age profiles so I will get to work and add that. Tweedle (talk) 09:42, 30 June 2022 (UTC)

Categorisation
Hi. I see you've been adding lots of UK city demography articles to Category:Demographics of the United Kingdom. Many of them already appear to be members of Category:Demographics of England, and because that's a child of Category:Demographics of the United Kingdom, they shouldn't be categorised in the latter as individual articles. Please see WP:SUBCAT for an explanation. Cordless Larry (talk) 10:40, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Cordless Larry OK that's fair enough, thanks for correcting me there, I wasn't sure how categories worked fully but wanted to add a load of city demographics pages to the Demographics by city category as well because they were missing but I suppose I have made the same mistake there. I will go and fix them in a bit. Thanks again for letting me know. Tweedle (talk) 11:18, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you - much appreciated. Cordless Larry (talk) 12:31, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
Demographics of Poland
Hey, can you help me with that? Because the last census was in 2021, so the percentage shown is out of date (2011) and also with the increase of refugees entering Poland, the percentage of Europeans has increased. 2A02:8440:2340:BBAD:FC48:1AF8:7088:A83F (talk) 13:20, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hi there, I agree with you that the data is out of date (this problem plagues most demographic pages) in relation to ethnicity figures for Poland and I see that their most recent census was in 2021. The problem is that currently when you are changing the percentage we cannot link it back to anything at all and we are just assuming that this percentage that you want to add in would be correct, this is not really a matter of whether it is or isn't, its just that we cannot assume it to be correct even if it would make logical sense that it would be, if you get me. This is called original research and not something we can do here as otherwise anyone could just add anything and claim it to be correct!
- I have checked Statistics Poland to see if I could find figures related to this but what I gather is that they have not released said information as of yet and just released the preliminary results which usually details total population and social characteristics such as education, age etc. If you want you can have a check for yourself to see if I missed it but I would bet that it will be basically released later this year, then we can add such information in. Thanks again, Tweedle (talk) 13:48, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hey, yes it’s a source saying that Poland is 99.9% European cause if you know how to calculate numbers it says that only 0.1 percent of Poland’s population is Vietnamese so the rest is European, have a good one. And let me imploding it as it’s. 2A02:8440:2341:195E:48EE:E5B2:D03F:806A (talk) 20:40, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
- No you need to add your source as a citation before you change the numbers, not after. It is not about 'calculating the numbers' as that is original research (if you doing this from pure arithmetic of 'how many poles are there in 2011, + Ukrainian refugees today' etc.). Add your source first with your change of numbers then I will allow it. Tweedle (talk) 20:50, 3 August 2022 (UTC)

- @Onel5969 The page I made was practically copied and pasted from other amusement parks incidents pages and Legoland Windsor Resort (1, 2), The section page is here, I believe the first lead section I copied over from Incidents at Universal parks and changed the names to Legoland so if their are copyright problems then it is probably a much larger issue with those sorts of articles overall that might want to be investigated. Displayed image size
See the Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Images § Size for further guidance on expanded or reduced image sizes.
Except with very good reason, do not use px
(e.g. |thumb|300px
), which forces a fixed image width measured in pixels, disregarding the user's image size preference setting. In most cases upright=scaling_factor
should be used, thereby respecting the user's base preference (which may have been selected for that user's particular devices). If px
is used, the resulting image should usually be no more than 500 pixels tall and no more than 400 pixels wide, for comfortable display on the smallest devices "in common use" (though this may still cause viewing difficulties on some unusual displays). To convert a px
value to scaling_factor
, divide it by 220 and round the result as desired. For example, |150px
is roughly equivalent to |upright=0.7
(150 / 220 ≃ 0.6818). Moxy- 21:38, 13 September 2022 (UTC)

Population pyramids
Hi, Can you please put these graphics in the appropriate section, not at the end of the preceding section. Apart from considerations of relevance, it makes life very difficult for future editors. Murgatroyd49 (talk) 19:42, 2 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Murgatroyd49 Oh ok apologises if this has happened, was not my intention, usually when I add them in the visual editor I normally insert the image on the header line (if that makes sense) but I am assuming it is moving up one on the wikitext into the preceding section, I'll try to avoid doing this in the future, thanks for letting me know. Would you like me to go through the ones I have added and rectify this? (Edit after this, I have gone ahead and fixed this in 99% of the articles I have added to so this should be rectified now, sorry once again!!) Tweedle (talk) 08:16, 3 October 2022 (UTC)

Ethnicity
Hello, there appears to be a problem with the refs you added to support the ethnicity table on Kingston upon Hull. 1991 returns a blank page, 2001 returns "No dataset selected" and 2011 hangs with message "Fetching data...". Also did you really access them in 2016/2017, I would have expected an October 2022 date. Keith D (talk) 23:53, 9 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Keith D Hi there, give me a second and I will go through and fix this. The sources may have been returning a 2016/2017 access date because I copied the table structure and sources from a previous one I had added to on a London Borough article, which I didn't realised had dead links, and then just filled it in with the relevant figures for each city etc. (edit to this, I have gone through and fixed the majority of the newly added ones, I'll through in a bit and fix the dead links on the borough articles) Tweedle (talk) 10:37, 10 October 2022 (UTC)

- @DecafPotato Sorry about this, my draft articles are never checked for 3 months and I already have one sitting currently waiting for review so I thought I might as well upload to submission before I have added anything so by the point I have added stuff in detail it would be good to be greenlit, is it OK to add the bare minimum of text and sources to an extent then reupload? Thanks, Tweedle (talk) 09:21, 5 December 2022 (UTC)

- @Blaze Wolf Right, so please see my comment above on the previous decline about needing the bare minimum so it does not get declined immediately, of-course I never I get any response on that despite the person I tagged being online yesterday. I know I need more sources/detail for it however it takes on average nearly 3 months for an article to be accepted and I still have one in review which has been sitting for 2 months despite being ready to be published. Image captions
Please note that image captions shouldn't be embedded in the image itself. See MOS:ACCIM, which also outlines a number of other accessibility considerations that you need to take into account. Cordless Larry (talk) 10:07, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Cordless Larry OK so would you like me to remove the image title from the image itself? Tweedle (talk) 11:00, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, captions should be provided by following the guidance at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Captions. It would also be worth adding an explanation to the file descriptions on Commons, so that any other editors using the charts understand what they do and don't include. Cordless Larry (talk) 11:56, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Cordless Larry OK I have gone ahead and removed the title caption from the image, so they now look like what is on the right;
- Is this suitable now? Tweedle (talk) 13:13, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
- The captions need to make clear what year the data was collected. The pie chart is difficult to read and that information would be much better conveyed using a table in my mind (the same could be said for both charts, really). Cordless Larry (talk) 13:33, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
- The graphs help visualise said data but I can provide a table with it on the page, I have added the year date as well but this would be obvious to people who viewed the file regardless. Tweedle (talk) 13:49, 18 December 2022 (UTC)

Australian English

Hey there Re the main image on this article - All the percentages in this graph are much much too low. I just know this from living in Australia and being an educated person. And also validating it against other pages. What's the source for the data? Is it possible the figures are for some other statistic? 105.156.11.213 (talk) 18:12, 22 January 2023 (UTC)
- @105.156.11.213 Hi there! The sources are usually in the file descriptions of each of the files I create. For this particular one it was taken from the Australian Bureau of Statistics from the 2016 figures avaliable on each page 'Snapshot' demographics pages they did for each state in Australia, here is a list for each of them now:

Detroit
On this chart, what do you mean by a "surplus'? Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 22:49, 25 March 2023 (UTC)
- Surplus population of said gender on the population pyramid, basically if there are more men than women (or vice versa) in a given age,
- For example: if there are 100 men and 105 women at the age of 80-84, then it should show 5 women in the dark red bar as the surplus population (then the two main gender bars are equalled out if that makes sense)
- We do this commonly on population pyramid charts, take here for the Netherlands (unrelated to Detroit) population pyramid over time Tweedle (talk) 22:53, 25 March 2023 (UTC)

Population pyramids #2
Hi,
You added population-pyramid charts to the Demographics section of the Oxford article. Those charts are hard to read, and on desktop at least, leave the page unbalanced - the two charts are over on the right, leaving most of the page as whitespace.
Can you please either remove them, or fix them.
You've done the same on South East England and Demography of Coventry, and no doubt in other places.
It would also be helpful if you would add some text to explain these charts, which are not self-explanatory. Thanks,
MrDemeanour (talk) 14:22, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
- @MrDemeanour Hello! What about them is too hard to read? Is it the font, the size of the text, the title? You have to be specific, there is a bug atm which I am trying to get fixed on most of them relating to the font switching from Arial Bold to Arial Black (for example this weird freakout) which I am having trouble fixing and am having no luck in getting a response on a possible way to amend it. I can go through them again though and see if I can fix any anyway. I am also not sure what you mean by the charts causing the whitespace in the page, the main contributor to the whitespace is the tables on Ethnicity and Religion (not that they should be deleted) and lack of text for said sections. For example here at Derby which has a notable blank space.
- I thought the charts were quite easy to understand but OK, the Foreign Male and Female colours on the graph represent the age distribution and sex of the foreign born population on top of the main Males and Females colours being, in this case, UK born population. We have done this on other graphs before, for example another users animated pop pyramids here and here. I will go through and add some text to them to explain this in this case. Tweedle (talk) 14:57, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
- On a laptop, the charts appear on the right 1/4 of the page, one on top of the other, filling the vertical space in my browser. There is nothing to the left of the charts, which is why I called it whitespace. The demographic tables have been pushed down off the bottom of my browser window.
- It's no good talking to me about the labels; they are a fraction of the size of the page body type, and are unreadable.
- Please revert these charts, and add them back when you have figured out how to do it without breaking pages.
- MrDemeanour (talk) 19:50, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
- Demography of Coventry looks OK, but I've reverted Oxford and South East England.
- MrDemeanour (talk) 20:07, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
Hi again,
Did you prepare these charts yourself?
If you did, I'm concerned that they amount to original research. As a representation of data, they are an interpretation, and should be cited to a reliable secondary source. If you didn't prepare them yourself, then they should be sourced.
MrDemeanour (talk) 20:26, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
- @MrDemeanour "On a laptop, the charts appear on the right 1/4 of the page, one on top of the other, filling the vertical space in my browser." OK then that is the size of the image, you can just re-adjust its metrics on the visual editor. It was set to 250 x 250 which is the max amount you can go generally on a thumbnail. I can fix this easily.
- "It's no good talking to me about the labels; they are a fraction of the size of the page body type" ? OK so you want me to make the labels bigger? I am not a mind reader sorry.
- "Did you prepare these charts yourself?" Yes I did, and yes they're sourced did you check the image page? There displayed at the bottom when you click on the image itself in an article. Tweedle (talk) 21:30, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
Australia article
Hello there, I deleted the map because the data is out of date and the information is already in the Table. I am happy to discuss on the Talk page of the article and see what others think. Cheers Aemilius Adolphin (talk) 09:20, 10 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Aemilius Adolphin OK that is fine on the data being out of date I will recreate said map today but for 2021's stuff. The graphics are nice as they allow one to visualise said stuff on, in this particular instance, a map of Australia rather then just blankly viewing it in a table. Demographics of Northampton
Given that we don't yet have detailed census results, this may have to wait but... As a general principle, we should always prefer to use actual built-up area stats, not BUSA (which relate to 1974 boundaries, where such exist) figures and still less local authority areas (unless separately and overtly declared as such). I haven't studied your reversion of that edit to Northampton in any detail and you may well be correct re internal consistency, but perhaps the better solution is to use only the bricks and mortar definition (which is unarguable) even if that means changing the basis for all the other figures. 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 22:42, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
- @John Maynard Friedman Oh no, I agree with using the BUA population stats generally speaking. The only problem with using the BUA stats for a time profile is that I can't seem to find any which predate 2001? (boundary concerns to this as well, Chapter 4). Unless I am missing it somewhere clearly, They do exist back to 1981 but I cannot find them on NOMIS when I search for 'Urban area' which was the previous term.
- In Northampton's case its not really that much of a big change considering the boundaries for the BUA are not significantly different from the actual old local authority but the boundary consistency over time is nice to have. I mean we could change the 2001 and 2011 figures (and specify that this relates to the BUA boundaries) to the BUA figures given at that time period? Up to you I am not particularly bothered either way, I believe the actual official statistics for such stuff for the 2021 census are released next month roughly if the 2011 census release is anything to go off of. Tweedle (talk) 13:13, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
- i think longitudinal comparisons are always going to be difficult because LAs change, BUAs change, definitions change, even what statisticians consider significant change. Northampton isn't too bad, with only one suburb given as a BUSA. Milton Keynes is divided four ways, with (in 2001) its name given to a BUSA that is only part of even its original designated area. Cambridge is just silly because substantial parts of it BUA are outside the remit of the city council. From an aircraft inbound to Stansted, it is obvious what Cambridge is but not to the Nelsons. We can't win! We can only try to do what is defensible. (No reply expected.) 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 13:32, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
Map of English Channel migrant crossings numbers
Hi Tweedledumb2, I have remember you from last year. I was wondering can you make a graph of English Channel migrant crossings (2018–present) numbers by the year. The graph could look like this one https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Foreign_born_population_over_time_in_percentage_in_England_and_Wales.svg but instead of % it would have the number of crossing on the year. and the title on the graph English Channel migrant crossings numbers. Here are the numbers.
Year | Arrivals (% change from prior year) |
---|---|
2018 | |
2019 | |
2020 | |

- @John Maynard Friedman Do you mean for the BUA's? The files I have updated are for local authorities, for example at City of Milton Keynes. Check the file itself on Wikimedia, all of my images (hopefully, if not let me know) have the sources attached on there. For these current ones the source is Sex by age, 2021 census from the ONS. - Yes sorry for this, I am trying to go through them as I can, have done it for a degree of them so far. Tweedle (talk) 17:43, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
- That is a bit of a conundrum. Yes, it is right and proper to give the provenance at Commons, but is it needed in articles too? Maybe I'm being too fussy: I failed until now to notice that the title in the image is dated (2021), getting distracted by the fact that the date has been dropped from the file-name (which is visible only to editors). Let's see if anyone else has a concern and if so maybe WikiProject UK Geography can form a consensus view. I see that you have added the citation at CoMK anyway, thanks. And I'm being a bit of a hypocrite because I only just today added a citation the "population trend" bar chart at City of Milton Keynes#Population. So let's just let it ride for now.--𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 19:59, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
- @John Maynard Friedman No worries! I am not really sure to be honest, I think in most cases intitution finds most people to finding the source in the end if they need it but I don't mind going through and adding them in each case (although it would be a hassle, I have over 1000 images now on here embrassingly to admit..). For the moment anyway I agree, Tweedle (talk) 09:51, 16 June 2023 (UTC)

Belgium demographics
Hi Tweedledumb2,
Amazing work on adding the demographics of Belgium by origin & continent. I'm wondering the exact process of how you did it, as the StatBel file, "Herkomst naar gedetailleerde nationaliteitsgroep per provincie", does not label continents like Africa or Asia individually. The StatBel file lists origin as "North African, Sub-Saharan African" or "West Asian."
How did you end up creating the origin for Belgium by whole continent & origin, not the sub-continents "North Africa, West Asian" as the Statistics Belgium document lists? I am considering adding the demographics of origin/continent to Antwerp Province, Flanders, Waloonia, Brabant, etc. I've added demographics to Belgian cities like Namur, Charleroi, Ghent and Mons.
Thanks very much again, and awesome work on the Belgium demographics! Giantsfann48 (talk) 00:54, 3 July 2023 (UTC)
- @Giantsfann48 Hello again, and thank you for the kind words! Basically in regards to the wider continent figures I just simply added up the rows which were for Africa (so 'North Africa' and 'Sub-Saharan Africa') as a whole and those which were for Asia ('East Asia and Oceania' and 'Western Asia'). I did additionally a similar thing of adding 'EU Candidate countries' and 'Other Europe' countries together for the Other Europe row and 'North America', 'Latin America and Caribbean' and 'Not to be classified in the above nationality groups' for the Other figure.
- You don't actually have to do this if you don't want to, rather I did it because I thought it would be quicker/simplier for me to amalgamate the numbers together, though there may be more benefit in doing them individually so the table is more detailed, entirely up to you. To do a quick example, lets use the Province of Walloon Brabant for 2023;
- A total of 277,670 Belgium origin people
- In Belgian with foreign background:
- 19,826 people from neighbouring countries
- 25,975 people from Other EU countries
- 4,055 people from Other Europe
- 26,297 people from Africa
- 6,681 people from Asia
- 7,777 people from Other
- In Non-Belgians:
- 12,744 people from neighbouring countries
- 18,001 people from Other EU countries
- 3,462 people from Other Europe
- 5,423 people from Africa
- 2,435 people from Asia
- 2,588 people from Other
- Hope this helps! Tweedle (talk) 11:11, 3 July 2023 (UTC)
