Nexus copy
Hi. I looked into the copy from Nexus 7 (2012 version) to Nexus 7 (2013 version), and I found that all of the text originated from the 2012 article. Compare the 2012 Software section with the 2013 one. I have placed {{Copied}}s on the Talk pages. Would you mind striking your mention of the Google Nexus article at WP:Articles for deletion/Nexus 7 (2nd generation)? Thanks. Flatscan (talk) 04:24, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- That discussion is already archived. I don't think that's a good idea. --uKER (talk) 04:35, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- Okay, that's understandable. I left a note at WT:Articles for deletion/Nexus 7 (2nd generation). Flatscan (talk) 04:17, 10 September 2013 (UTC)

Nexus 5
I was a bit surprised by the snide comment in the edit summary you made after restoring the unsourced section about Nexus 5 that had been removed on Google Nexus. Considering the large number of edits you've made you ought to be familiar with Wikipedia's rules about verifiability, and also ought to know that unsourced speculations can be removed at sight (see WP:CRYSTAL, especially what it says under #5). Because since you've found time to make scores of edits on the article over the past few days you can hardly claim that you haven't had time to find proper sources for it. Especially since it only took you a few minutes to add it back, with a reference, once it was removed. Thomas.W talk to me 18:36, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
- Well, sorry about that. I just find it unconstructive when people remove good, non-contested information just because it lacks a source instead of adding one. It was not meant to be personal. Sorry again. --uKER (talk) 18:40, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

Start menu
Hi.
Glad you noticed the article. Well, here is the catch: It would be appropriate in Windows 8.1 article if it is supposed to come in Windows 8.1. Yes, the source says an update for Windows 8.1, but again, who is to disagree that Windows XP was an update over Windows 2000? What I mean is that if it came in Windows 9 or 10, the source would still have been right; but not right enough for us.
I think the most appropriate place for now is Start menu article. We should decided on the Windows article when we have concrete fact, something above WP:CRYSTAL.
Best regards,

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Rocking stone, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Asphodel (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Comparison of Android devices
Sorry, I removed your second addition of a PROD tag to the article. Per WP:PROD:
- "If anyone, including the article creator, removes a {{proposed deletion/dated}} tag from an article, do not replace it, even if the tag was apparently removed in bad faith. This excludes removals that are clearly not an objection to deletion, such as page blanking or obvious vandalism, and tags removed by banned users may be restored. If you still believe that the article needs to be deleted, or that the article should be deleted but with discussion, list it on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion."
The tag had been previously removed. Apologies if this is inconvenient, but PRODs are only for deletion with no objections, and a removal is an objection. Begoon talk 18:18, 28 September 2014 (UTC)

Android page titles
That ICS page move was wrong, but only because the Android Lollipop page is named wrong. I only intended codenames to be used in the titles for articles spanning multiple numbered versions under the same codename, so Android Lollipop should actually be at Android 5.0, but the CSD for the move was denied under claims that it was "controversial or is under discussion", but the dispute he possibly referred to was about its naming prior to the official unveiling. ViperSnake151 Talk 16:37, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
- I find that definition quite arbitrary. IMO, consistency is way more important than some obscure hidden rule that generates these heterogeneous article titles. --uKER (talk) 19:09, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
Date format in Linux articles
Hello! Any chances, please, for you to have a look at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Software § Date format in release history sections of Linux articles and possibly comment there by providing your point of view? The whole thing is pretty much poorly discussed with only a few editors actually discussing it, while it seems to be affecting more than a few articles (and the date format seems to be extending beyond the tables into references, please see history of the Linux distribution article). Any contributions to the discussion would be highly appreciated! — Dsimic (talk | contribs) 02:40, 15 November 2014 (UTC)
Invitation
Hello, UKER,
The Editing team is asking for your help with VisualEditor. I am contacting you because you were one of the very first testers of VisualEditor, back in 2012 or early 2013. Please tell them what they need to change to make VisualEditor work better for you. The team has a list of top-priority problems, but they also want to hear about small problems. These problems may make editing less fun, take too much of your time, or be as annoying as a paper cut. The Editing team wants to hear about and try to fix these small things, too.
You can share your thoughts by clicking this link. You may respond to this quick, simple, anonymous survey in your own language. If you take the survey, then you agree your responses may be used in accordance with these terms. This survey is powered by Qualtrics and their use of your information is governed by their privacy policy.
More information (including a translateable list of the questions) is posted on wiki at mw:VisualEditor/Survey 2015. If you have questions, or prefer to respond on-wiki, then please leave a message on the survey's talk page.

MKX
Someone (not me!) has since reverted your edit in the MKX character section. I agree that the content is no longer required, but I figured it could be left there until the game's release in two weeks, after which the confirmation sources will also get tossed. Lemme know what you think. sixtynine • speak up • 16:21, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for the notice. The change you're talking about is probably this edit in which a paragraph was crudely restored by an anon. I'd go on and delete it again, but I understand if you think it's for the better to leave it alone until the proper release. Cheers! --uKER (talk) 16:30, 31 March 2015 (UTC)

TY for the edit. Yeah, Goro did lose his arms in the comic, but that was ages ago. Aside from that, this user insists on posting rambling, poorly written summaries of what goes on in the comics. He once wrote 3k bytes of stuff in Raiden's article. sixtynine • speak up • 15:54, 28 July 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah, now that you mention it I seem to recall Goro's arms thing. IIRC, that was to justify him not having four arms in a portable console or something, right? --uKER (talk) 16:40, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

Autopatrol
Hi, I would like to suggest that you request Autopatrolled rights on your account. This will keep articles you create from appearing on the new pages feed since you are trustworthy enough to not create articles that are complete garbage. Check WP:AUTOPAT and if that's something that you might want then go ahead and follow the instructions on that page. It's completely optional and it requires an administrator to review your history, but it would benefit new page patrollers if you were granted this user right. Thanks. —KuyaBriBriTalk 18:16, 4 May 2017 (UTC)
- Just applied for it. Didn't know autopatrolling was even a thing. Thanks for the heads up! --uKER (talk) 18:26, 4 May 2017 (UTC)
Autopatrolled granted
Hi UKER, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the patroller right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Lord Roem ~ (talk) 22:48, 4 May 2017 (UTC)
Cyclomorphosis
I was going to review Cyclomorphosis when I noticed you don't like being templated, which is what WP:NPP will do if I tag Cyclomorphosis as lacking references. Can you find and add some references please? Thanks Mduvekot (talk) 12:36, 30 August 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for the notice. I always thought the thing about not being templated was only about being templated on your own talk page, so thanks for the super-considerate notice. I'll see if I can add some refs there. Cheers! --uKER (talk) 17:11, 30 August 2017 (UTC)
- Actually, the page patrol tool posts on the talk page of the creator of the article. That's a bit unfortunate, because that's not always who needs to be notified. It really should go to the talk page of the reviewed article. I added one source, hoping that would be a good one. I'm no expert, so perhaps you can make sure it's usable? Thanks again, Mduvekot (talk) 17:26, 30 August 2017 (UTC)
- I'm no expert on the subject either. I just saw it mentioned in the Tardigrade article, found it interesting, and saw the concept was mentioned in a couple other articles, so I created it as a stub in hopes that someone else could expand it. I added it to Wikiproject Biology, but apparently it didn't do much good. BTW, I incorporated your ref to the article and added a reflist to make way for future references to be added. Thanks for the help. Cheers! --uKER (talk) 17:31, 30 August 2017 (UTC)

Lars Alexandersson
Long time no talk with you. Some weeks ago I started editing the Tekken character Lars Alexandersson and requested at the guild to be copyedited due to my poor prose. By any chance do you have information about the character's creation? I only got two paragraphs. Also advices are welcome. Take care.Tintor2 (talk) 21:43, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
- Whoa. Thanks for the invitation. I'm flattered. That's a pretty comprehensive article you put together. I don't have any info on the character, as I don't follow the Tekken franchise. I didn't even know him by name, TBH. I can provide some copyediting if you like, though. I'll try to do it all in one edit, so that you can revert the whole thing if you feel I went too far. :) See you around. Cheers! --uKER (talk) 21:50, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
- Those compliments make me blush, lol. Still, I just wanna make it to GA if it meets the criteria. Other than that, there is also a good user named Beemer69 who made an amazing work in Ermac and is also interested in improving to GA. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 21:56, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
- BTW, do you think Guiness Record related with Lars could be used in the article?Tintor2 (talk) 22:54, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
- I'd say it should. BTW, I made some copyediting to the article. See what you make of it. The article clearly showed it was written by someone with a passion for the subject of matter, and for that reason, it had excessive detail in trivial things, some reiteration. Especially the Ultimate Ninja Storm thing was all over the place. I also relocated some paragraphs which I found were best suited in sections other than the one they were in, and reorganized some sentences in which the topic seemed to come and go, trying to make the whole thing flow better. Take a look at it and see if you liked what I did, and maybe I'll keep at it when I get the time. Cheers. --uKER (talk) 23:57, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
- I like it though small paragraphs could be merged? Anyway, do you think it's better written now or that it still needs work? Tell me and I remove the request from the guild.Tintor2 (talk) 00:10, 1 August 2017 (UTC)
- I gave it my shot at trying to improve it. I'm not sure it's ready for GA yet, though. I think there's still some superfluous stuff there. I suggest you let some other people take a look at it. I'll also try to chime in and do some more as I get the chance. --uKER (talk) 00:17, 1 August 2017 (UTC)
- I see. Thanks nevertheless.Tintor2 (talk) 00:20, 1 August 2017 (UTC)
Update: I tried paraphrasing the quotes from reception. As you mentioned in the edit summary, I removed all of the reviewers' names but there is one notable writer wikilinked there so I'm not sure about it. By the way, do you think "gameplay" could be a subsection from Design since it talks about how he was made? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 22:06, 13 August 2017 (UTC)
- Sure, I guess. I didn't make it so in case you'd want to add other gameplay-related info that didn't specifically refer to his design process. --uKER (talk) 22:09, 13 August 2017 (UTC)
- The article has been copyedited. What do you think of it? It's okay to nominate to GA? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 23:01, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
- There's some issues with the edits this editor made. I'm busy ATM but will make another pass later today. --uKER (talk) 23:03, 17 August 2017 (UTC)

- See if you like what I did with it. BTW, I'd try to replace the "Naruto costume" image. It's so ridiculously small it makes the box look like crap. I searched Google and found no larger version of it, but there's this one. --uKER (talk) 00:32, 22 August 2017 (UTC)
- I think that's from the Naruto wikia but aren't we supposed to use smaller size images?Tintor2 (talk) 00:37, 22 August 2017 (UTC)

- Apparently both Sling Blade and "LOVE&ENERGY" move and song respectively related with Hiroshi Tanahashi. I tried clarifying it.Tintor2 (talk) 01:08, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
- Well, no, in fact there's absolutely nothing in the text even suggesting that either the song or the new move are related to the wrestler. --uKER (talk) 04:23, 24 October 2017 (UTC)

Lars' image
A fellow user replaced the image of Lars Alexandersson with the one from Tekken 7. What do you think about it? I already talked with the editor some days ago so I think he intends to positive stuff by adding the latest design of the character. Still, I'm not sure if we should use his Tekken 6 image instead. I don't know exactly what image should we use. I mean, one of my first GAs, Kyo Kusanagi, uses the character's most wellknown design rather than the latest one from KOF XIV. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 00:04, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
- I saw the change, yeah. As for the image, I kinda like it actually. The thing is, I'm not versed on Tekken. Let alone the character himself. If you feel the previous image is more representative, I guess it's a valid reason to keep it, but it's up to you I guess. BTW, why do we keep speaking English?
Redirects
Please don't list any more plural redirects for deletion. We want plural redirects. See WP:REDIRECT, {{R from plural}}
, and note that WP:PLURAL has nothing to do with redirects (other than instructing us to create them for plurals). We want a redirect in place for any plausible alternative name, even a common typo, that multiple readers might end up using to get them to the content they're actually looking for. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 23:23, 2 December 2018 (UTC)
Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Beat Saber
Hi UKER. I see you undid my change of the Beat Saber article. I disagree with your stance that it is "completely useless" to state in the article that there are essentially only four locations on the block that contain arrows. The target audience of Wikipedia includes visitors unfamiliar with this VR game. As I wrote in my edit summary, the phrase "Each block [...] may be marked with an arrow for one of eight possible directions to slash through the block." is not completely accurate, and confusing - misleading even - for readers. For someone unfamiliar with the VR game, this seems to say that the block markings themselves create eight possible directions. This is not true. It is the combination of the markings and the optional tilting that creates the sum of eight directions. To you agree with my reasoning? --77.173.90.33 (talk) 10:31, 12 January 2019 (UTC)
- Perhaps we could use (emphasis mine) "...may be marked with an arrow, and rotated for one of eight possible directions to slash through the block." To clarify that the directions are created by the rotation and not simply the arrow marking. --77.173.90.33 (talk) 11:06, 12 January 2019 (UTC)
- For all I know, it would suffice saying the blocks can be slashed in one of 8 possible directions, according to the arrow. I don't think any further specification provides any real value, but you're welcome to attempt any improvement and I'll do my best to back away and let others give their opinion. --uKER (talk) 00:17, 13 January 2019 (UTC)

In regards to the whole MK11 DLC thing....
If we're going by the precedent set by the previous two Mortal Kombat games, as well as Injustice 2, then Shao Kahn falls under the same category as Goro and Darkseid, who are both listed as DLC in MKX and I2, respectively, and so he should be considered DLC like them. However, Frost falls into the same category as Quan Chi from MK9, Shinnok from MKX and Brainiac from I2, so should be listed as part of the initial roster. CBFan (talk) 19:18, 8 May 2019 (UTC)
- That's why I propose dropping the use of the word DLC, whose definition implies downloadable (which Shao Kahn and Frost are not), but in general has become distorted to be synonymous to anything that can be paid for. Maybe label the initial 25 as "Initial roster" and Shang Tsung as "Kombat Pack 1" or something? --uKER (talk) 19:29, 8 May 2019 (UTC)
- Thing is, that set-up is used in Mortal Kombat X, and Goro is still listed amongst the first KP. CBFan (talk) 19:31, 8 May 2019 (UTC)
- Well, that's wrong too. Goro was either preorder bonus or part of KP2/XL. Just edited that page too. --uKER (talk) 19:44, 8 May 2019 (UTC)
- OK, well, if it's any consolation, I think how you've set it up works best for now. 79.74.204.199 (talk) 21:53, 8 May 2019 (UTC)
- Good to hear. I think the idea is to reflect reality as simply as possible, without getting tied up with canned labels and using imprecise terms just because they're popular (I'm hating the term DLC being used for anything that's locked behind an in-app purchase). --uKER (talk) 22:26, 8 May 2019 (UTC)

Steam
I reverted your move... Dusambiguated d titles are to be as short as necessary. Origin needs the longer name because there are at least two notable software packages, one completely unrelated to gaming. But there is only one notable software called Steam with most variations in the name related to Steam itself. So the longer title is not required. --Masem (t) 13:02, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
Mortal Kombat 11 revert of my edit
I've reverted your change due to the following reason: The section I editted was a plot summary. And there's a rule in English that when a thing is not important, it is not included in the summary. Your edit that says "incapacitate by decapitation" is redundant. While it is correct that Shinnok is an Elder God that cannot be killed with such means, it has no consequence in the subsequent part of the plot. That he is incapacitate/decapitate is along the same meaning. And I chose decapitate as it gives the most specific and detailed meaning in one word. But allow me to demonstrate why the distiction between decapitation and "incapacitate by decapitation" is unimportant. Let me give you similar example:
"The robber stabbed her in the heart, and her brother got angry and tried to avenger her." "The robber slashed her hand once and stabbed her in the heart, and her brother got angry and tried to avenge her."
Both are definitely different, however, the distiction is meaningless, as only her death itself is the thing that triggers her brother to avenge her. One slash on her hand is not the key part. She could die with 3 slashes on her. Or she could die with 5 slashes on her. Her brother avenged her anyway. The same goes for this situation. Shinnok is incapacitate/decapitate, while both are different, it is meaningless as Kronika only need to change the event by reverting time. The distiction is of no consequence. I chose to use the word decapitate alone as decapitate is a permanent way of incapacitation, and it gives most detailed meaning in one word.
Another example: "He drinks a cup of water, and it saves him from dying of thrist." "He drinks a cup of water and one more tea spoon, and it saves him from dying of thrist."
Both are distinct, yet the teaspoon difference barely matters. What is truly consequential in the meat of the message is that he is hydrated again and survives. The exact amount of water is inconsequential.
And when something is inconsequential, it does not belong in the summary. As you can see, similar thing applies to this edit. The distiction is meaningless. Kronika was pushed to act to free her son from the incapacitated state.
Also, as a matter of civility, it is suggested that when you revert an edit, a good explanation is due. Please try to follow the guideline as well, as I am doing to you now. Anthonydraco (talk) 16:41, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
Additional info, the distiction that Shinnok cannot be killed by decapitation is only known to fans of the story. Too much detail is considered wp:fancruft. Anthonydraco (talk) 16:59, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
- I only skimmed over that rant. I did give you proper explanation for my revert. And your argument about specifying that Shinnok is immortal being cruft just doesn't make any sense. It's a point central to the story. --uKER (talk) 17:39, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
