Storm dates
[edit]Please stop changing storm dates on the 2025–26 Australian region cyclone season page. The dates that I've added come from the BOM database. The storm's ex-tropical cyclone phase should still be counted as part of its lifespan, as the BOM still considers them tropical lows (per their own database). SolarisPenguin (talk) 03:12, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
- Ex means post-tropical cyclone right? Isn't it? MAS0802 03:16, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
- It means it no longer meets the requirements to be considered a tropical cyclone (such as no longer having gales) - however, in practice, it's equivalent to tropical low status and doesn't mean the system itself isn't tropical. As such, it shares the same "cyclone type" (which refers to the nature of the storm) as tropical lows in BOM's database. SolarisPenguin (talk) 04:26, 27 May 2026 (UTC)

Hello! I joined a year ago.
[edit]What are some wikipages do you recommend you read? I started high school on June 8. I also saw that you edit in Pacific Typhoon Seasons. ケシュラ・ミルマオ (talk) 06:06, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
- What courses do you learning in high school? MAS0802 06:29, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
- We are currently in the exploratory stage, so we will not be able to pick a course we want to learn until the 8th Grade.
- But the subjects that we learn are
- - Filipino
- - MAPEH (Music, Arts, Physical Education, and Health)
- - AP (Araling Panlipunan or Social Studies)
- - Mathematics
- - Science
- - English
- - Drafting Technology (ICT)
- And we are not full day.
- Our class time only spans from 5:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
- You might say that it's too early or how can we survive it.
- But since there are too many students in the Philippines
- DepEd (probably) decided to make school half days.
- 5:30 AM to 12:00 PM are morning classes.
- 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM are afternoon classes.
- Anyways, that's all! ケシュラ・ミルマオ (talk) 09:26, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for sharing! A 5:30 AM start sounds really early, but the half-day systems makes sense if there are a lot of students. The subjects look interesting, especially ICT.
- Anyway, I wish you a good luck with high school.
- For wikipages, you can choose whichever ones interest you the most. MAS0802 10:03, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you! anyways, I really enjoy Meteorology and Astronomy. That's all! ケシュラ・ミルマオ (talk) 03:50, 21 June 2026 (UTC)
Rollback granted
[edit]
Hi UNIDRAGON 734. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:
- Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or Ultraviolet. It just adds a [rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits. For more information about when rollback is appropriate, see Wikipedia:Rollback § When to use rollback.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the permission will be revoked.
- Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask!
I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, and feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate use of rollback. If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin) and Wikipedia:Rollback. Good luck and thanks! TonyBallioni (talk) 17:23, 24 June 2026 (UTC)

Areas affected in the Pacific typhoon season
[edit]Regarding this edit, do you have a source that Wake Island is being affected now? I didn’t see anything being added to the storm section. Hurricanehink mobile (talk) 15:17, 29 July 2026 (UTC)
- Wake Islands currently in monitoring area. [2] UNIDRAGON (talk) 15:28, 29 July 2026 (UTC)
- But has the island been affected? You included it in “areas affected”. Hurricanehink mobile (talk) 15:33, 29 July 2026 (UTC)
- I think monitoring area should be added to areas affected because swell and strong winds could affect the area. (Per NWS Guam) If this is incorrect, I will undo my edit. UNIDRAGON (talk) 15:38, 29 July 2026 (UTC)
- Usually we only include areas there when they actually have effects. Not just the threat of swells, but that the swells actually did damage, or the winds actually knocked down trees/power lines. Also, because Wake is so small (and is a military institution) we only include it when we get actual reports out of there, like Hurricane Ioke. Hurricanehink mobile (talk) 15:53, 29 July 2026 (UTC)
- Alright. I get it. UNIDRAGON (talk) 15:56, 29 July 2026 (UTC)

Is it really necessary to be making your ACE updates' edit summaries all-caps? It's not helpful, and needs to stop. Jasper Deng (talk) 14:46, 4 September 2026 (UTC)
- Oh snap, I didn't noticed that all capital letter will violate the Wikipedia rules and I will stop doing that. Thanks for the reminder. UNIDRAGON (talk) 14:50, 4 September 2026 (UTC)
