Speedy deletion nomination of Chloe Cerise

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Chloe Cerise requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.   Hello, I'm Rsjaffe. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Hashemites, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 16:25, 25 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

  Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at Africa, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you.   Please do not add or change content, as you did at Racism in Sudan, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. FuzzyMagma (talk) 20:07, 18 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop. If you continue to engage in subtle vandalism by making unexplained changes to information, as you did at Janjaweed, you may be blocked from editing. Don’t add fake references that doesn’t support your edit and if you have an ax to grind, this is not the place FuzzyMagma (talk) 20:16, 18 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Introduction to contentious topics

edit

You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Reliable sources

edit

Hi Ultimate Tai, your comment here gives the impression that you are not very familiar with Wikipedia's policies around reliable sources. Sweeping claims about "the Palestinians", broad accusations of "everyone" or indiscriminate praise for "Iran and Hezbollah and the Arab state media(s)" are not very useful here. You may want to take them to political discussion forums elsewhere on the internet instead (cf. WP:TALK#USE, in particular the "Stay on topic" part). If, however, you have information about the reliability of a particular source (e.g. newspaper, TV station, website) for use in such Wikipedia articles, that might be more relevant. See e.g. WP:RSP and WP:RSN on how Wikipedians conduct such evaluations.

In any case, we now know that in this particular case, the statements you had reported from various governments and media (the Islamic Republic and Hezbollah prove he's alive [...] even the Arab governments and Qatar's Al Jazeera say this is Israeli intimidation.... they're saying it in Arabic.....he isn't dead) were plainly false. This might be useful for you to keep in mind in similar discussions in the future. Regards, HaeB (talk) 12:01, 28 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

I agree with HaeB. Your comments on Talk: Hassan Nasrallah were unproductive, divisive, and in the end, completely false. Be much more careful in the future, and familiarize yourself with WP:NOTAFORUM. Cullen328 (talk) 18:12, 28 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
