English I'm afraid

edit

But I did live in Buenos Aires for a year with my wife (una mendocina). I learnt to love Argentine football for its lack of overpaid egomaniacs and its abundance of determined teenagers, two things that you cannot say about English football. I'm off to watch the Sudamericana SF in half an hour, its on English telly! only because we've go a new channel here that shows international football, hooray. One thing I learned in Argentina is that the English don't love football, they love English football, if there isn't an English team playing no-one will watch it. In Argentina people love football, English, Spanish, Local whatever (except Italian and rightfully so!). Anyway, take care mate, and good luck turning things around at Central, football in Rosario looks a bit depressing according to the relegation table. I should know, I support Argentinos, they were where your lot are for the best part of 3 seasons. King of the NorthEast 22:59, 8 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Soy Canalla

edit

Hola amigo,

ECanalla (talk) 23:40, 30 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

EUFA Cup edit warring

edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on UEFA Cup records and statistics. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. MickMacNee (talk) 20:14, 7 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

And Fadiga09?

edit

Hi:

You blocked me because of an edit warring, but why don´t you blocked the user Fadiga09? He also participates in this edit warring, and he doesn´t see any other comment contrary of his thoughts! [1] [2] [3]. I´m editing with SOURCES, NOT with "feelings" or "thoughts"...

--Ultracanalla (talk) 20:18, 10 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Feel free to report users at WP:AN3 if they are edit warring. Stifle (talk) 20:45, 10 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
No No... as you were capable to block me, you must see the history of those articles and be equitative with evrybody... ¿Why did you block me and not Fadiga? ¿Why do you see only my edits and not the "others"? --Ultracanalla (talk) 21:01, 10 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
You have not shown me any reason to block them.
In English, ¿ is not used. Stifle (talk) 21:05, 10 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

About the survey Mr.Fadiga09 talk about

edit
Hi, Ultracanalla. I read your comment in UEFA Cup talk, and i want to give you the link to survey and it shows 6-5 to oppose integrating Inter Cities Fairs Cup results with UEFA Cup HERE . Also, see the discussion below the survey , it will be useful info. See you,Bye. --Saudi9999 06:48, 11 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi, again, now I just to tell you there are some voters in the survey today Survey , from new users (the reason for my suspicion is the time between registering and voting for the two users). So, maybe muli-users to make more votes to other side . Can you report it to Admins. ??!! thanks. with my regards --Saudi9999 18:06, 14 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, but can you make notice to any admins!?. thanks again.--Saudi9999 15:55, 15 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fairs-Uefa cup

edit
Hi, Ultracanalla!
Thanks to show me that survey. I'm totally amazing by some people there. They believe on those unofficial records like a "holy record". I think they run those record in England for long, long time and some people just can't accept they were wrong for so long. This whole thing starts to be a bit ridiculous and funny, because there are so many direct statements from UEFA that Fairs Cup records are not consider. Anyway, I glad there are many others on the official records side.
By the way, I'm from Brazil, and, of course, speak Portuguese.

Edit war on Valencia CF‎ et al

edit

Please stop revert warring over these articles. I protected Valencia CF‎ for a week per a request at WP:AN3, but nobody took that opportunity to discuss the issue and it all resumed upon expiration of the article. If you, Fadiga09, and others involved are simply going to revert without any effort to discuss the issue on the talk page, then the end result is just going to be lots of blocks. Please attempt to engage the user on talk pages rather than simply reverting to your preferred version. You can ask for help from other editors interested in soccer or you can make a request for a third opinion from an uninvolved editor. Simply reverting will only result in blocks. --B (talk) 02:42, 17 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your report to WP:AIV in re: Fadiga and the IP 135.196.110.222

edit

Hi. Please, look at the 135.196.110.222 Ip´s contributions [4] and see the Fadiga´s [5] Aren´t they the same users???? It´s more than suspicious... Please, say it to an expert on this issues, I don´t know how to do this.

Thanks, --Ultracanalla (talk) 13:44, 25 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I've moved your report here, as it is not a case of the blatant vandalism that AIV usually handles. I do see some similarity of edits, but I also see that you are involved in what appears to be a content dispute with Fadiga. I'll invote some additional eyes to the article, as maybe a third opinion would be of value. Best, UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 13:58, 25 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
I absolutely agree - which is why the IP was warned for violating 3RR - and why an additional revert will result in a block. You might also have a look at WP:SSP, as there are methods for determining if someone has violated the suckpuppet policy, as you seem to indicate. There are instructions there for filing a request, and I would suggest including the above two diffs as evidence. Best, UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 14:07, 25 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ultracanella, in the same way that you are accusing Fadiga of 'cheating', your practice of refusing to discuss on the talk page when peole don't agree with you, calling them crazy, and revert edits in a content dispute calling it reverting 'vandalism' is also cheating. I advise you to read the policies, and get your use of wording here correct, and learn what is a content dispute, what is an edit war and what is vandalism. I strongly believe you have only lasted here this long because no reasonable editor is interested in coming near you, because frankly, you are out of control, and need to learn the principles of Wikipedia:Etiquette MickMacNee (talk) 14:17, 25 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

National football teams and Olympic achievements

edit

Firstly, apologies for my error in assuming that the IOC assumed responsibility for the Olympic football competition. However, even though this may have been an error, it is also an error to say that the team who are the subject of the article Argentina national foobball team have won the Olymic tournament. They have not, and they are not eligible to do so. Just because inappropriate information exists in an article, this does not justify additional inappropriate material being added. If it is the AFA, and not the Argentine Olympic committee, who organise the Olympic squad, it might be worth that page carrying this claim to fame, or otherwise the achievements of the Olympic team should be at Argentina national under-23 football team. Wikimedia Stories Project

edit

Aloha!

My name is Victor and I work with the Wikimedia Foundation, the non-profit organization that supports Wikipedia. We're chronicling the inspiring stories of the Wikipedia community around the world, including those from readers, editors, and donors. Stories are absolutely essential for any non-profit to persuade new people to support the cause, and we know the vast network of people who use Wikipedia have so much to share.

I find stories that drive our annual fundraising efforts. It's important to convey the incredible diversity of people who've come to rely upon Wikipedia every day.

I'd really like the opportunity to interview you to tell your story, with the possibility of using it in our materials, on our community websites, or as part of this year’s fundraiser to encourage others to support Wikipedia.

I will be in Buenos Aires from the 10th - 11th of March 2012.

I'm hoping you will elaborate on your story with me. Please let me know if you're inclined to take part in the Wikipedia Stories Project!

Thank you,

Victor Grigas

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
