On reliable sources

Hi, welcome to Wikipedia. Please be aware that Wiktionary cannot be used as a WP:RS, as you did in this edit. This also applies to Wikipedia (this one and ones in other languages), and Wikimedia projects in general. Brusquedandelion (talk) 14:07, 23 April 2024 (UTC)

IPA

All I did was revert their edit and then revert my own reversion when I realized I'd hit the revert button for the wrong article. I have no input on the situation here. Largoplazo (talk) 08:00, 14 May 2024 (UTC)

Any idea what was the problem? I simply changed Template:Big to Template:IPA & Template:IPA link as it already is on Help:IPA/Hindi and Urdu, Help:IPA/Punjabi, Help:IPA/Malayalam, & a few others. Username203 (talk) 12:06, 14 May 2024 (UTC)

Editing Help:IPA/English has no effect on how {{IPAc-en}} works. But that's precisely one of the reasons one shouldn't change symbols without establishing consensus first, because doing so breaks the consistency with IPAc-en, defeating the whole purpose of the key.
