Don't be discouraged that your initial edit was rejected. I have no doubt that your reasoning is sound. The way Wikipedia works is that (especially for high profile articles) we provide references for the various facts in our articles. It'll take awhile for you to learn how we do things, but that's OK. I am writing to you to kindly invite you to participate in an online survey about interface and online collaboration on Wikipedia. The survey has been reviewed and approved by the Wikimedia Foundation Research Committee.
