Unspecified source for Image:Samat Smakov.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Samat Smakov.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:54, 29 May 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Genisock2 19:54, 29 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Tnx. I took this image from this portal - www.lyakhov.kz/football I don't think that Mr. Lyakhov (site's creator) against. And also I think that this image is public, not commercial Uvik 0:57, 19 June 2007 (CET)

Proposed deletion of Offdate

edit

The article Offdate has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable, non-reliably sourced musician that fails WP:MUSICBIO.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Aspects (talk) 05:45, 4 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Position by round 2011-12 Premier League

For me is a nonsense the PbR for Premier League because there isn't the matchdays like other league and so for me it is a random table. Stigni (talk) 09:36, 2 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Kazakhstani

edit

Hi, I am writing regarding your recent move. As I've learned there are dozens of articles starting with Kazakhstani - [1] including an article Kazakhstani. So I am not convinced that the word does not exist.--Twofortnights (talk) 11:45, 14 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Yes, there are many articles but it is still a wrong word. There is a word describing the population - Kazakh. "stan" means land. It's like to say "Englandman" instead of "Englishman". Uvik (talk)

×== Kazakhstani category moves ==

Hi. Can you explain why you are mass moving these without discussion? The page for Kazakhstan clearly shows the demonym to be Kazakhstani. Thanks. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 13:43, 31 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Believe me, there is no such word as "Kazakhstani". The word Kazakh is correct. It's the same stuff as in Russia there are two words: "Russian" and "Rossiyanin" - it is polythonym, and used only inside the country. Uvik (talk) 13:51, 31 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the reply. I think something of this nature needs to go through the requested move process, and possibly an WP:RFC too. I'll flag it up at WP:ANI for further input and alert you about it. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 13:58, 31 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Election articles

edit

Hello Uvik. I have reverted all your moves of the election articles for two reasons. Firstly, some of your moves were WP:Cut and paste moves, which are not allowed (if you cannot move an article using the move tag, you must use the WP:RM process). Secondly, the titles you created were contrary to the relevant naming guideline, WP:NC-GAL#Elections and referendums, which states that a demonym must be used. If you disagree with the use of Kazakhstani, then you have to use Kazakh instead.

I see that several other editors hve concerns about your approach to this, so I suggest you start a centralised discussion on the appropriate demonym rather than make unilateral piecemeal moves. Cheers, Number 57 14:18, 31 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

And in the meanwhile we return to the pre-move situation. If there is consensus for the move (which I doubt very much), everything will be moved properly according to the consensus.--Ymblanter (talk) 14:21, 31 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Do not change Kazakhstani to Kazakh

Kazakhstani and Kazakh have two totally different meanings. And this is per our own article on Kazakhs. Kazakh is only for ethnicity where Kazakhstani is for all citizens of the country.
