Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution
edit Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Vairagya into Bairagi. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 10:45, 18 October 2017 (UTC)
Disambiguation
editIf you want to create an article on a new topic, please create a disambiguation page (e.g. Bairagi (caste)) instead of overwriting an existing page. utcursch | talk 13:38, 18 October 2017 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for March 28
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Digvijai Das, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Founder (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

ArbCom 2018 election voter message
editHello, V.S.bhardwaj. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)
March 2020
editHello, I'm NitinMlk. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Bairagi Caste, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. NitinMlk (talk) 23:36, 29 March 2020 (UTC)
- Please note that this project requires scholarly sources for historical details: see WP:HISTRS. To know about unreliable sources for caste-related details, see User:Sitush/CasteSources. Thanks. - NitinMlk (talk) 00:02, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
April 2020
editPlease stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Bairagi Caste, you may be blocked from editing. NitinMlk (talk) 13:26, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Nomination of Krishna Kumar Bawa for deletion
editThe article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Krishna Kumar Bawa until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.
Please follow Wikipedia's manual of style
editWhen making edits, please follow the Wikipedia Manual of Style and don't revert edits that bring articles more in-line with the MOS. Specifically, bold text should be used infrequently, and usually only at the beginning of the article for the article subject. Repeated use for emphasis is distracting for the reader - see MOS:BOLD. Also, please use wikilinks only the first time a term is mentioned (WP:OVERLINK). Thank you. Ravensfire (talk) 15:35, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
Bairagi
editPlease revert your removals at Bairagi (caste) and explain why you want that information removed at Talk:Bairagi (caste). You can't just delete stuff without apparent reason. - Sitush (talk) 16:10, 6 August 2021 (UTC)
Since you continued to make unexplained changes, I have just reverted for you. Please do not edit that article again without (a) checking the talk page and (b) getting consensus there for your proposed changes. - Sitush (talk) 16:47, 6 August 2021 (UTC)
And you are doing it again! You have to explain your edits, especially when they involve removal of academic sources. You have been notified of the special sanctions regime & are in danger of suffering from it unless you adapt your style. - Sitush (talk) 09:00, 7 August 2021 (UTC)

Sorry, I meant to provide the following notification, although the above probably applies as well. These need to be renewed every 12 months.
Page moves
editPlease see my notes in the section titled "Moves" at User talk:Gupta Ynr - they apply to you also. You must stop your disruptive editing. - Sitush (talk) 09:14, 11 August 2021 (UTC)
Yes you are right. There is two articles. First is about Bairagi Caste and Second is about Bairagi (Ascetics). I think there is confusion between these two articles.V.S.bhardwaj (talk) 07:31, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
Warning regarding page moves
editSee Talk:Celibate Ascetics (Vairagi)#Article moves. I will indefinitely block you if, within the next seven days, you move another page without a prior clear consensus in a discussion lasting at least 24 hours on the article talk page. Johnuniq (talk) 10:10, 11 August 2021 (UTC)
