Ashish Chanchlani

edit

I do try and respond where possible. Like most editors on Wikipedia I have other commitments outside of editing which sometimes means that I can't reply to questions as quickly as I'd like or other people expect. In some cases the issues/queries are addressed before I can get to them. Others are too complex and I just don't have the time (or inclination) to respond. Hey I'm only human.

In answer to your question on Ashish Chanchlani - my comments do not mean that the article cannot ever be created/moved to the mainspace. I was just highlighting to other reviewers that there have been assessments made of the article in the past which have highlighted significant concerns with the validity of the source used to support the article. I haven't had the time to review whether the sources you've included are acceptable or not and I might never get around to doing that - that;s life. Hopefully someone else might have the time to undertake a review in the meantime. Dan arndt (talk) 08:45, 2 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello VRJ Bandhu. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:Ashish Chanchlani (comedian), gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:VRJ Bandhu. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=VRJ Bandhu|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 17:31, 2 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello Timtrent. I have never edited a payment till date and never will. I am a fan of Ashish Chanchlani. That's why I made it. And I am Extended Confirmed User. I could have moved it straight to manspace if I wanted to, but the opinion of the critics matters more to me. I do not want to do paid editing and never will. Editing Wikipedia is just my hobby, not a profession. I consulted reviewer Iflaq and admin -Malcolmxl5 before submitting it for review. I accept everything but I will never accept a false accusation against me. –– 𝚅𝚁𝙹𝙱𝚊𝚗𝚍𝚑𝚞 03:20, 3 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
