Adjacent communities

edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. {{Adjacent communities}} should be on its own line and most importantly should not appear on a line that begins with an asterisk, because that causes Multiline table in list lint errors. Kindly click the link and fix your recent edits. —Anomalocaris (talk) 08:58, 5 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Tholme has fixed these errors, for example, this edit of Howards Grove, Wisconsin. Take a look! —Anomalocaris (talk) 07:05, 6 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Oregon-Maple Street Bridge

edit

The article Oregon-Maple Street Bridge has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not pass WP:GNG, and I can't see how it meets WP:GEOFEAT.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I have decided to make it part of an article describing all four bridges of Sturgeon Bay, and their history. I just don’t know when the transition will happen. TillmanJosh (talk) 03:58, 12 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Oregon-Maple Street Bridge moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Oregon-Maple Street Bridge, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations to sources that discuss the bridge and its history in significant depth, rather than minor news stories that involved the bridge or database entries. As you have indicated that you intend to continue working on this article, I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. signed, Rosguill talk 22:06, 12 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Sister Bay, Wisconsin

edit

In the "adjacent communities" template you title it "control cities". What's a control city? Magnolia677 (talk) 18:46, 31 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

A control city is a destination signed on traffic signs. And there's a wikipedia article on this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Control_city TillmanJosh (talk) 21:33, 31 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Is there a consensus someplace to stop calling this template "adjacent communities", and start using the relatively unknown title "control city"? Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 22:23, 31 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Why did you redirect Cleveland, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin to Cleveland (village), Wisconsin? Magnolia677 (talk) 18:57, 31 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

I get it, but then why is Duveneck, Wisconsin still up when there's trivial sources indicating it's existence as a community aside from atlases of Manitowoc County? There should either be a new guide on unincorporated areas or the notability guidelines on Wikipedia should incorporated further more on unincorporated communities. Some articles on there are defined as locales yet they're still on Wikipedia despite the fact they lack references...TillmanJosh (talk) 21:19, 30 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Can you fix the red ref notice? You are using really large ref names; if you try smaller ones it might work out better.--Epiphyllumlover (talk) 22:28, 18 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Unincorporated Communities

edit

Greetings! I recently finished redirecting the ultrastub unincorporated Wisconsin communities (basically the one sentence types) to the town or county they are located in. If you have enough information for what you feel to be a stand alone article, you are more than welcome to undo the redirect. -- Dolotta (talk) 00:27, 16 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Couple Notes

edit

A few of your edits hit my watch list today. Just a couple things when you merge articles. When you merge articles like you did, please keep the cite book template from the references -- it helps keep the styling (hyper links, italics, etc.) consistent and honestly easier to do as a copy/paste. Also, it might be more appropriate to use "merging to X" rather than "redirecting to X" for copyright purposes. Thanks a million! -- Dolotta (talk) 20:01, 16 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

I'll keep that in mind whenever I next merge/redirect unincorporated communities. Thanks for the advice! TillmanJosh (talk) 02:44, 17 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
