Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or website, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Fathoms Below (talk) 22:09, 18 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

I have moved your latest post to the bottom of the page. New talk page posts should always be placed at the bottom to preserve the correct chronological order of discussions.

You cannot continue editing with your current username because it violates Wikipedia's username policy. You have a misformatted request from Nov 19 with the name "Jacobatcorporate" - did you still want to use that name?

You won't be allowed to write about your business, or post any links to it for use as a reference. Wikipedia articles rely on references to reliable sources - sources with established reputations for fact-checking and editorial oversight. This heavily favours mainstream news organizations, academic press, and reputable publishers of newspapers, books and magazines. We don't seek insiders' perspectives on a topic, but rather what independent sources have chosen on their own to publish about it. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 19:04, 22 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Ok, thanks for the info. Just so I'm clear... the owner of the business tried at first to add info to Wikipedia re: the industry and "his" place in it. I see this is not allowed. But a reputable Wiki contributor could publish info on the gym and industry? Is that right? Thanks. Verticalworld87 (talk) 19:44, 22 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yes, an independent editor could edit about your gym if they saw coverage of it in independent reliable sources and choose to write about it on their own(i.e. not asked to by the business or owner). What edits do you wish to make since you won't be editing about your gym at this time? 331dot (talk) 09:21, 23 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
