License tagging for Image:704 Suizenji Carp.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:704 Suizenji Carp.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:05, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Footballer infoboxes

edit

When you remove current clubs from infoboxes, please just remove the contents of the parameter, not the whole line as you did with Graeme Murty and others. Just leave it as currentclub = . thanks, Struway2 (talk) 08:59, 10 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Flags in infoboxes

edit

You will have noticed that I reverted a series of edits that you had made to international football teams articles. I can understand why you might have wanted to place those icons, but they are contrary to WP:FLAG. Once that had been pointed out to you, it seems unreasonable that you revert, without explanation or apparent grounds, to the prohibited flag version. If you believe that the inclusion of those flags is so important that it should not be bound by consensus, you will need to argue your point first. Kevin McE (talk) 18:45, 7 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Of the 11 World Cup qualifiers to currently have a foreign coach, England, Greece and Switzerland all have a flag icon next to their coach. But Australia, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Chile and Paraguay do not. This seems to be a glaring inconsistency. Either no national football team should use these icons or they all should. Otherwise it would take a drawn out and subjective debate taking into account the footballing histories of respective countries as to why Switzerland's national team coach has a flag icon, but Australia's doesn't.Vickerman625 (talk) 02:02, 8 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

policy seems clear: none of them should. Kevin McE (talk) 06:22, 9 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Can you direct me to where this guideline on flag's in infoboxes is please?Phenom V1.0 (talk) 21:07, 2 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sure, check out: WP:FLAG as I was directed to by the poster above. Vickerman625 (talk)

Thank you for uploading File:Kuressaare Castle.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 16:56, 5 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. joe deckertalk to me 00:51, 28 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Photo usage

edit

Hello :-) I just wanted to say "Thank you very much" for your picture: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Onomichi_Panorama.jpg

My name is Daniel, i used that picture in my little "travel around the world" puzzle game for android.

When a player sees your image (when completing a level) there is a short sentence describing the location visible on your panorama and also you are credited directly as "Photographer". Hopefully you are fine with that, if you want any changes please contact me directly. :-)

2012-08-08 User Sirleto / Wikipedia User:SirLeto PS: You just removed/deleted this entry. Any reason? Is it your way of saying "aknowledged" ? Best, Daniel.

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
