Speedy deletion nomination of Oxopixo

edit

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Oxopixo requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you can assert the notability of the subject, contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} at the top of the article, immediately below the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate), and give your reasons on the article's talk page, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

See the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. CactusWriter (talk) 02:50, 23 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Me TV (TV series)

edit

A tag has been placed on Me TV (TV series), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Moreover, please add more verifiable sources, not only 3rd party sources. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hang on}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. WP:Reliable sources

Hi. I see that you are having a lot of trouble with adding content to articles. Let me suggest that if you cannot find the information that you wish to add in a WP:Reliable source, then it probably is not encyclopedic content. It can go on your website, but should not be in this encyclopedia. See WP:How to write a great article. All the best! -- Ssilvers (talk) 02:06, 9 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Nomination of (Colossal) Pictures for deletion

edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article (Colossal) Pictures is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/(Colossal) Pictures until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 22:02, 26 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Eli Noyes

edit

The article Eli Noyes has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Speedy deletion nomination of Charged Studios

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Charged Studios requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Cntras (talk) 03:42, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of CBS Television Studios programs, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page A&E (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Cut-and-paste move

edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give List of Television series produced by The Walt Disney Company a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into List of Disney television series. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Regarding the 1981-82 daytime TV schedule, Early Today started in July. This changed next season for NBC News at Sunrise in August. --2600:1700:4300:2C8F:1D0:5B60:E75F:BD22 (talk) 15:47, 30 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Before One to Grow On, Ask NBC News aired after the credits on NBC's Saturday Morning shows. And even before that, there was The Metric Marvels, from 1978 to fall 1979. It was indistinguishable from In the News and Schoolhouse Rock, rival shows on CBS and ABC, respectively. --2600:1700:4300:2C8F:DD72:BC2D:E33B:D73F (talk) 18:06, 30 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

At one point, a NBC News Update was shown in the 70s, after the end credits of daytime, and possibly Saturday morning programming (probably before The Metric Marvels), and also in primetime. --172.127.114.25 (talk) 13:03, 1 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

As far as I’m concerned, there are other shows aired on ABC from 1974 to 1977 besides Schoolhouse Rock! such as Time for Timer and The Bod Squad. Time for Timer, was from 1973 to 1978. NBC also has Betcha Don’t Know after the end credits in the 70s. --2600:1700:4300:2C8F:D4CD:79BF:AC29:EB61 (talk) 16:49, 1 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

No. Betcha Don’t Know is from the 80s. In 1978-79, there was The Metric Marvels, appearing after the credits on NBC Saturday mornings. --2600:1700:4300:2C8F:D4CD:79BF:AC29:EB61 (talk) 16:51, 1 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

I'll working on revamping the 1978-79 daytime page. To be honest, The Metric Marvels appears aired after the credits on quite a few of NBC's Saturday morning shows.--172.127.114.25 (talk) 15:36, 2 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

That's the verdict of 1976-77. And the same goes for CBS' the 1977 daytime verdict:

  • Fall: 10:00am: Here's Lucy; 10:30am: The Price is Right; 2:30pm: Guiding Light; 3:00pm: All in the Family; 3:30pm: Match Game '77; 4:00pm: Tattletales

As far as I'm concerned, there's a NBC News Update on both daytime and Saturday mornings until 1978, when the latter got its own program. Can I help with 1976-77 daytime and 1977-78 daytime page. A NBC News Update broadcast was expanded to 12:57 from 12:55 effective January 1977. --172.127.114.25 (talk) 14:55, 3 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

As far as I'm concerned, CBS' In the Know only lasted from 1970-1971, because In the News did not start until the fall of 1971. Also on ABC, Schoolhouse Rock! did not start until the January of 1973. In the 1970s, NBC News Update aired on both daytime and Saturday mornings until 1978. --172.127.114.25 (talk) 19:26, 3 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Olive Jar Studios moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Olive Jar Studios, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. The Moxy Show

edit

Hey, there. I'm currently working on the article for The Moxy Show because it was the first original show produced exclusively for a television network that has been part of my childhood: Cartoon Network. However, I am having difficulty finding information about how the show ended. The lead of the article says that only episode under the The Moxy & Flea Show moniker, which is titled "Abducted", was aired as the show's finale on December 25, 1995, with reruns airing until May 25, 1996. Going through the revision history, it appears you added this information. However, beyond procedural TV listings in newspaper archives, I cannot find any sources to back up this claim nor can I find any concrete information about the show's cancellation. I did find TV listings that listed the show as The Moxy and Flea Show on that one day and the show does disappear from TV listings after May 25, but I haven't found sources backing up that the network was airing reruns after "Abducted" or any source that explicitly confirms that the show stopped airing on May 25. Do you know of any sources I'm not aware of, or was this just original research? Lazman321 (talk) 02:29, 27 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of programs broadcast by Nick Jr. (block). This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. The Grand Delusion(Send a message) 20:21, 7 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Unsourced edit to They Might be Giants discography page

edit

Hello, I really do not use Wikipedia that often, however I have been looking for a Blue's Clues "Puppy Love" commercial with a song by They Might be Giants. I found a commercial from the same year, however there is no documentation on who wrote the song for this commercial, and you did not source this edit. I understand this edit was from 2012, but do you have any information on this topic, specifically a source that confirms they made the music for this commercial or another commercial from the same year? Thank you!

Those were the days when I sometimes made random guesses when editing. I know now that song was not TMBG, but I don't know who was actually responsible for the "Puppy Love" song.

Instead of detaching the SIP Animation header, detach the page with the produced shows

edit

The idea of separating these shows into separate pages is both illogical and unfair. Because the shows are listed on the page even though C&D or Marvel Productions also have their own pages. All of the shows produced before the SIP rebranding were produced under the name of Saban Entertainment, and after the rebranding, all ownership of the company belongs to Saban's successor company BVS. There is no need for the SIP page to be separate. Let's combine these two pages and move all the tv series and films produced into a separate page. Separating the SIP Animation page was a good idea back then, but it is a wrong idea today because it divides the library into two pages. Shows produced by BVS Entertainment and all its subsidiaries should be on a single page. GRPHX-TREME (talk) 23:38, 18 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

About Fox Kids original programming

edit

Greetings.... First of all, I would like to thank you for your interest in the legacy of Saban and BVS, which has not been paid much attention on the site until today, and for your contribution to the pages. However, I realized that we disagreed on something. Can you tell me why Wunschpunsch, Bad Dog, The Kids from Room 402 and Monster Farm are not considered Fox Kids Europe shows? Of course, if you don't mind. Also, what is your reason for removing licensed shows from the Fox Kids original programming template? Why do you think these can't be included in Fox Kids original programming and its original run? Frankly, I respect your contributions and I don't want to be rude to you by constantly editing what you write. Can I learn your convincing reason on this issue? Of course, if you don't mind. Please give a formal edit summary and explanation before removing content from the years in American television articles

edit

I've noticed that you've been recently removing content from various articles such as the "1999 in American television" and "2002 in American television" ones without fully explaining why such content merits removal other than simply saying that it's unnecessary trivia, nothing more and nothing less. Simply saying that something needs to be deleted because it's unnecessary trivia seems to be based more on personal opinions and feelings rather than on verified facts. Why is such information more important than others to put it in another way? BornonJune8 (talk) 4:05, 19 April 2024 (UTC)

You also recently removed content from the "2000 in American television" article without giving a formal edit summary explaining why it had to be removed. So know, there's nothing of note to have happened in the month of November, and yet the section for November is still there despite there no longer being any supporting content. BornonJune8 (talk) 4:21, 19 April 2024 (UTC)

I was trying to keep the "1990s-early 2000s in American television pages" more in line with newer pages of their kind. Most of the content I removed from the "notable events" sections were more appropriate to mention in the pages' other sections, like "program debuts" or "network launches". Proposed deletion of List of programs broadcast by MeTV Toons

edit

The article List of programs broadcast by MeTV Toons has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No sources, no indication why the programming of a channel with reruns would be a notable subject

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
