sir i see that you removed cited fcats from Nair article. i request you not to allow your prejudices gain upperhand over factuality. regards. M T N
you are mistaken sir. did you ever bother to read the paragraph i added? it is a specialist treatise specially for nairs and written by one belonging to that community. if marriage puberty ceremonies etc can be dealt with at length, the sexual part also needs to be treated. my opinion is that apart from mentioning this book in the article Samyogasuktha needs to have an article for itself.M.T. Urgent Attention
Hello Vivin,
Lately i obtained a very old book (edition dated 1972) with title "Kerala" written by "Krishna Chaitanya", which vastly describes about everything any one wants to know about Kerala.Reffering to this book, i have planned to add 4 more topic to Malayalee article namely Races of Kerala, Sculpture, Painting and Crafts.I will finish this work on 22nd of July 2007.
The book was published by National Book Trust,India and was part of the series India-Land and People.I did not find any ISBN number on the book.It costed 9.50 Rs.
I want your valauble attention and full help in this venture.I don't think this book has some new editions. So can you build a database for the book from where i can give citations for my work?
Pls reply.....
ARUNKUMAR P.R 09:56, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
Hai Vivin,
I got the book in Udupi Muncipal Library. The condition of the book is very pathetic. The information of thhe book on history, sculpture, crafts, painting are all relevent.Yes of course the other contents are not relevent as it is written in it that the literacy percentage in Kerala at that time was 60% and that of whole India is 29%!
Pls reply....
POV Issue
Dear Vivin,
I had posted a POV in the Nair article to initaiate a positive talk on the subject of Caste vs Community and cited ample reasons backed by quoting prominent Articles available including views of none less that Sreemad Chattambi Swamy, the pioneer of social reforms and authority on the Nair Community.
Someone has deleted the same. This is quiet unfortunate and is not in good spirits and defies logic.
Please take time out to visit the following to understand my point of view.
http://www.nairs.org/home.php?swami http://www.nairs.org/home.php?aboutnairs
Nair- A Community
Dear Vivin
As you suggested , i have put up the new topic on the issue, backed by facts. The only intention is to highlight a fact which is generally overlooked. Please go through the same. A "Community" provides perfect neutrality as opposed to "Caste" and "Tribe". Hence please relook the same and edit the "Caste" portion in the Introduction part to "Community". I am sure that it makes a lot of sense to the Whole article and will widen the scope to even earlier Historic periods.Malabarspices 07:46, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Community -Not Caste
Dear Vivin
I attempted for a debate brother. But things dont seem to move in the right spirits of a free media with induviduals "reaffirming" alternate views without any relevant links or documents.
I am going to start protesting via POV's ,if debates are one sided inorder to challenge such "authoritarian" views which are seemingly baseless.Malabarspices 17:42, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Paliath Achan
Hey vivin, Ur article on Paliath Achan states that he was second in power to the Rajah of Cochin. I found mention in the TSM volume I which states otherwise. It infact states that the Paliath Achan was the ruler of Cochin during Marthanda Varma's times and that the Cochin Rajah had retired to a village known as Alwaye. Additional sentences in the same para lead me to believe that the Paliath Achan or Paliath Menon was the sole power in Cochin and the Rajah was more of a rubber stamp who from his village residence merely attested every act of the Achan. So technically while subordinate to the Rajah, it was the Achan who was the ruler, as clearly mentioned and that deserves mention. Cya :-) Manu
- Ok i was wrong...the Cochin rajah had become almost a mere rubber stamp by the late 18th century, during Dharmarajahs reign...and the cochin rajah sided with the british so that he could get rid of the Paliath achan..Manu
The Nair Community
Dear Vipin,
Please find some relevant data and authoritative texts for your reference. See i thought all over again and again. "The Nair Community" is really apt.

I think you must stand as a candidate for the admin post.I will give you a strong support.:)

sir, a friend suggested me that I contact you about a problem with an article. i made some postive contributions to nayar (not nair as the name is) yday. one called manu came and removed all changes. he gives the reasons as that namboodhiri spelling I used is not in use here. as you know, namboodhiri is the now more used spelling. an internet search will make this clear. so, i t hink namboothiri should me renamed as namboodhiri, which is more usual spelling in modern period. i also request you to warn mr manu about removing positive contributions. thank you. tranquilmind Tranquilmind 06:05, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

- See i have pointed out some animated contents in Nair article to its talk page. I was expecting a constructive discussion on that points. But expectation was never met.Even, I was forced to reply to some of the comments there. See i have not edited any content from that artcle(though i could have done so.) which is not the case of other users like Manu who remove the content without any discussions. Results for AfD on Dravidian civilizations article
Hi,
Here is the outcome of the final decision for AfD on the Dravidian civilizations article:
“ | The result was no consensus to delete; defaulting to keep. This is most certainly not a 'hoax'; there are plenty of sources to show that this is a valid concept. However, the views of the Community were split down the middle with strong opinions on both sides. What is clear is that there are significant parts of the article that are disputed and the way forward is for those concerned editors to initiate a thorough-going rewrite. TerriersFan 20:58, 5 September 2007 (UTC) | ” |
Vivin, I have started some clean up efforts at this article so that it is better referenced, and covers more topic than the natural/man-made debate. Any help will be appreciated! Cheers. Abecedare 00:33, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
- Great! When I read through the article last week I noticed that it only dealt with the man-made/natural controversy engendered by the Sethusamudram Shipping Canal Project and all the references were news sources related to this project. Since then I have tried to add sources explaining the etymology of the two names and some details of the geological history and early surveys/attempts at dredging. These sections of course need to be fleshed out further so that this is an encyclopedic article about the geographical feature, rather than just a news summary of recent controversies. Any help with sources, content material and keeping the trolling SPAs at bay (as you have been doing for a long time!) would be helpful. Regards. Abecedare 23:40, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Some your edits in the article Ezhava are without valid footnotes. Please provide me a reference which says the word mala and aali came from tamil(we all know these words are there in many south indian languages and simhla-thats word simhala itself have formed). I am agreeing to fact that malayalam has developed independantly with more interaction with Tamil. Malayalm also has aborbed words from sanskrit, arabic, roman, percian, urdu etc.Instead quoting Nairs are the only community which followed Marumakkathayam, Serpent worship, kali worship, kalaripayattu, add many communities in kerala followed these cutoms. And you can add this to a common section. If you have solid reference that only nairs practised it please go ahead and remove from all the articles which have similar content. thats it.

Nairs tc
Hi, I observed the article Malayalee..it is of full mistake whn concerned with castes.About Ambalavasi's someone is saying they are the sons of Nayars which is utter rubbish. But it is very sad to see these ind of wars for mere caste purpose. I had severe difficulties in writing Nambiar (Ambalavasi), Ambalavasi etc.
Lines like: Likewise the Chakyars have originated from the union of a Kshatriya male and a Namboodiri female....The Ambalavasis proper including Warriers, Pothuvals, save for the Pisharodys have originated from prohibited unions between Nair men and Namboodiri women. Since they came from a patriarchal Brahmin mother and a matriarchal Nair father they were given a position below the Brahmins but above the Nairs are utter nonsense! I will also try to edit. But plz understand one othing-you will see lot of pro-Nair persons here with some kind of vengeance.go through this Sreekanthv 08:09, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Re to Ezhava
Sure Vivin I would be happy to help. I feel the Ezhava editors seem to have an group inferiority complex, which shouldn't be the case, however despite this I totally agree that it contains some levels of POV, the information concerning the community is generally cherry picked and misleading, and the article generally poorly written. However I feel editing the content in a more objective way will be thrown back by revert happy Ezhava users who seem set to co-operate to keep the article showing a rosy POV history of the community. —Preceding unsigned comment added by B Nambiar (talk • contribs) 17:05, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for taking the tag so constructively. I still think it needs more citations but it is great that you are working on it and it will encourage others to do the same so it is fine with me if you leave the template off. A good thing to remember, if you are really interested in the article, is that if you find information in it that you feel is incorrect, you can remove it if it is not sourced. Any editor can remove unsourced material. Good work and thanks for the message! Regards, --Mattisse 20:34, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

Fairuse rationales
Hi, for the fair use rationales, the template {{non-free use rationale}} does a pretty good job. For an example, I already took care of Image:Calcutta And I Remain Unchanged.jpg for you. However, in general, we don't tend to have album covers on article pages; if separate articles for the albums come up, you should remove them from the main band page and move them there. -- Ricky81682 (talk)

Aspirated stops
You asked about aspirated stops. In simple terms these are sounds that are produced with a lot of air (aspiration). The "stops" refer to those sounds that are made by stopping completely the flow of air. In English, they are /p/, /t/, /k/, /b/, /d/, and /g/. In each case, the air is, if only for a moment, completely stopped by some constriction in the speech apartus (teeth, lips, tongue, or various places in the mouth). In general, in English, the voiced stops (/b/, /d/, /g/) are unaspirated, that is, they are produced without a strong expiration on the release of the sounds. However, the voicless stops (/p/, /t/, /k/) in Enlish are generally strongly aspirated, that is, a strong expiration follows the production of each sound. However, if these voiceless stops follow an /s/, then they are not aspirated. For example, the [p] sound in pin is aspirated but in spin it is unaspirated. Interlingua 19:23, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

Hello Mr Vivn
Thanks for spceial interest and contribution to Ezhava related pages. hopes you show will same interest toi the nonsense to nair related pages. Do you think Nair article is full of nonsense? List of Nairs is subjected to delete just like List of enotable ezhavas. Nambiar (Nair Subcaste)has a large family listing and people listing which are not at all referenced. Its better we unneccarily go into a caste war. We will forced come and prove as nairs women are prostitutes (i can show 100s blogs on the net which proves that done bye some people who have been humiliated by the nair fanactis of wiki). 04:25, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah whatever. If you want to send those up to an AfD, please do so. I believe Ricky showed you. In fact, I was involved in an AfD for List of Nairs and I suggested that it be deleted until names can be properly sourced. As far as "proving" "Nair women are prostitutes". Ooh I am so scared. I do not take idle threats very seriously. I believe you raised this issue on the talk page and you were shot down, many times with proof and references. You were asked to prove your point and you failed to do so. Blogs are not reliable. Have a nice day. --vi5in[talk] 00:37, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

Biased Edits
The User_talk:Vivin was working on Ezhava and nair related pages. He including POVs in naor page and while adding false information about ezhavas in ezhava article and was removing a lot information in that article like this. Its true that the issue is being discussed in orkut and i am one of the member of the that forum and even some went and faxed to SNDP yogam(an organizatuon of the ezhavas).
There are many books written on Sambandam(literally means Sexual relationship). And all the books says One section of the nair woman did prostituion which like americal prostituite which is actively dicussed in Talk:Nair. Hi, Vivin! I assume you're talking about Pallathu Raman and M. K. Sanoo. There are two other ways to try to delete an article - WP:PROD and WP:AFD. Let me know if you have any questions about either process. Thanks! -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 16:30, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
khalistan movement
ok well sorry... it wasnt my intention to hurt you.. and you are a good contributer.. Sunnybondsinghjalwehra (talk) 17:10, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
Heloo Vivin the article is about Khalistan and not terrorism. The unregistered user wants to link Sikhs with terrorism but at the same time delete references to state terror. I don't think the list of terror organisations has relevance here. More information about the concept of Khalistan is needed. Otherewise add all the reference to state terror against Sikhs. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.96.244.27 (talk) 07:16, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
