- Hi, I’m trying to understand the reason why the sources i linked to the article are unreliable. I understand that Youtube interviews can be considered as no “independant”source of information but I also added a Deadline article (one of the number 1 source of film industry upcoming project) as well as a radio interview hosted by an independant and recognized radio show covering film festival (one of the interviewee in that same serie is Viggo Mortensen). She’s the lead actress on one of MGM biggest TV show (From) created by the creators of Lost and associated with prestigious directors like Jake Benders and I don’t really understand how she isn’t considered a notable person.
- Could you please provide me with some informations in order to make her wikipedia page better.
- Have a lovely day Vmoulias (talk) 16:52, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, all new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). See Wikipedia:Notability (people) including section WP:NACTOR. Regards the sources you have from the point of showing notbality: [1] deadline.com is just 2 sentences; [2] is an interview which in most cases are not considered independent reliable sources (know journalists interviewing experts can be OK, but an actress talking about her current show is going to be part of show promotion); [3] A listing (not significant coverage); [4] A passing mention on social media (not significant coverage); [5] repeat deadline source; [6] very short mention; [7] An interview, talking about the premier of the film she was in so not independent reliable source; [8] A YouTube interview. So nothing significant and basically just run-of-the-mill interviews any actor/actress does as part of there work. Notability is not inherited so being on the same interview series as someone notable, or being one cast member in many on a notable show does not help make her notable. So unless you can find some independent reliable sources that do have significant coverage about her she probably is just not notable enough yet.
