Hello, VoltronUniverse, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Famousbirthdays.com as a source

edit

Hi VoltronUniverse. I noticed that you recently used famousbirthdays.com as a source for information in a biography article, Gabbie Hanna. Please note that there is general consensus that famousbirthdays.com does not meet the reliable sourcing criteria for the inclusion of personal information in such articles. (See Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard/Archive_153#Is_famousbirthdays.com_a_reliable_source_for_personal_information). If you disagree, let's discuss it. Hi there, I noticed you added iTunes chart peaks to Gabbie Hanna. Per WP:BADCHARTS (and specifically WP:SINGLEVENDOR), iTunes charts should not be added because "charts pertaining to one retailer should not be used". Thanks. Ss112 23:04, 4 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm MrBill3. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Gabbie Hanna, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Citing the same sources repeatedly.

edit

Hello, I noticed on your edits on the wiki page for Gabbie Hanna that you placed in citations without checking if they had already been cited in the article. It is important to look in the reference list to see if the source is already listed. When you are citing the same source multiple times, you should name the footnote in the first instance it appears and use the same footnote thereafter. Here are instructions to do so: WP:REFNAME. Honesty (disambiguation)

edit

Hi VoltronUniverse, I reverted your edit to Honesty (disambiguation) because there is already a disambiguation page for Honestly. Honesty (disambiguation) is already quite long, and adding redundant terms will make it more difficult for readers to find the article that they want. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Tana Mongeau, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page James Charles (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hello. I wanted to let you know that in your recent contributions to Gabbie Hanna, you seemed to act as if you were the owner of the page. I’m sorry if it came across that way, but the edits only hurt the page. It brought up many typos and removed important information. I don’t think I own the page. Speedy deletion nomination of David Dobrik & "The Vlog Squad"

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on David Dobrik & "The Vlog Squad", requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.   Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from David Dobrik & "The Vlog Squad", a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. IntoThinAir (talk) 01:37, 7 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

@IntoThinAir: I’m confused. I do not see any button of the sort. Also, why is it even being deleted?
I am referring to the blue button that says "Contest this speedy deletion" in the middle of the template on the page David Dobrik & "The Vlog Squad". I placed the speedy deletion template on the article because it is largely/entirely about David Dobrik, about whom an article was deleted at AFD in 2017. As per WP:CSD#G4, if someone recreates an article deleted after a deletion discussion like AFD, it is eligible for speedy deletion. IntoThinAir (talk) 04:44, 7 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of First Baptist Academy (Powell)

edit

The article First Baptist Academy (Powell) has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. First Baptist Academy (Powell) moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, First Baptist Academy (Powell), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. None of those other singles were sourced on the BOP page. Most of the singles on the Discography page were unsourced too. And you're choosing to ignore your rude behavior and trying to justify it. Gjh fan (talk) 17:07, 6 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

You can't even get the section you're commenting in right on your own talk page.... the existence of other unsourced material doesn't give you free reign to continue adding more. Your delusion is ridiculous. Read WP:V and stop playing the victim. Ss112 17:13, 6 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
It was a simple mistake and you're calling me delusional. I've been editing on Wikipedia for over 2 years now buddy, I think I'm good. I'm not playing the victim, I'm calling out your rude behavior, plain and simple. I'm so sorry someone holding you accountable is upsetting to you. Last time I checked, you do not have the power to ban me, because you were threatening others saying you would request it, not do it. I could easily report you just like you could me, but you do not have a reason to. I was banned for "long-term abuse" (I'm assuming you requested it), but when I appealed it, they restored my account because I was not abusing anything. You on the other hand are being rude and condescending and then trying to justify the behavior by using a simple mistake against me. Gjh fan (talk) 17:44, 6 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I called you delusional because you're playing the victim when you're the one in the wrong for adding unsourced material in the first place. Now, point by point:
  • You have never been blocked. Where and when did this block and subsequent appeal/restoration of your account take place? How could I have been the one who apparently requested and got you blocked when you never have been?
  • Where did I ever claim I had the power to block you? I said you can and will be blocked if you continue to add unsourced material. I didn't say I would be the one doing the blocking.
  • I'm fully aware of how I acted towards you, thank you, buddy. I don't need to be reminded, as I think I'm good—far better off than you are in fact, considering I don't add unsourced material then play the victim and I've been here for far longer than you. Lmao. I called your reference "crap" when, in my opinion, it was, because you didn't fill out the reference adequately and used a parameter that did not need to be there. If that's "rude" to you, then so was your smart-alec retort upon reverting me for undoing your addition of unsourced material ("Gladly"). Take some responsibility for your own actions.
  • I also doubt this is your first time adding unsourced material. I'm sure if I went back through your recent contributions I could find more.
  • You're trying to claim you're an experienced editor by bringing up that you've been here for two years, while also trying to claim it's a "mistake" that you didn't provide a source. An editor who's been here for two years would know before saving three articles in a row that they did not provide a reference on any of them. I think you're well aware that you didn't include a source with the information you added—you just didn't care, because first you said "the other singles on Birds of Prey: The Album aren't sourced", implying you shouldn't have to add a source, and now apparently it's a "mistake". Which is it? You are trying to "hold others accountable" for their actions when you're still making unconvincing excuses for your own. Ss112 18:35, 6 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
You called my edit crap because you disagreed it was sufficient for your standards. What I put in that reference is better than the thousands of references that exist that have less. You trying to police them is comical. And my response with "Gladly" was not meant to be sarcastic, but assume what you want. Even if it was sarcastic, you called me lazy and said the source (which was directly from Halsey) was crap, which is no where near the same, but again... it wasn't sarcastic. And I never said adding unsourced material was a mistake, DO NOT put words in my mouth. I said replying under the wrong section was a mistake that you went off on. And if we were to take a short trip down memory lane on the Manic talk page, you threatened multiple times to request a ban for people, do not act like you didn't. As for you questioning my ban, it did happen, and if I could send you the screenshot I took on February 2nd saying I was banned from editing until February 7th, I would. I appealed it because the reason of "long-term abuse" was untrue and it got lifted very quickly after that. You were the only one who had a problem with my edits and the only one who threatened numerous people with a ban. Nothing I have said has been playing the victim. Your reaction was just straight-up unwarranted for my actions. Check the talk page on the album again and see that more people said the songs were not official singles that said they were. In fact, you were the only one who said they were and have been policing it since acting like a consensus has been made, when it really has not been a fair discussion. The articles for each song actually started out/were created as promotional singles, so why does it have to be changed? The evidence people provided is valid and you don't want to be wrong so you decided to just go off on everyone. I asked you nicely to stop being rude (ex: calling me lazy, calling my edits crap) not on my talk page, no, but in the edit descriptions. You are obviously a very angry person if you are getting this upset over someone who made a sloppy Wikipedia edit and then called you out for your rude behavior. I am not the problem here... look in a mirror. Gjh fan (talk) 20:54, 6 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
You're still talking about what is a single from Manic (album), when none of what I have said here has been about that. I'm well aware of what I said on the Manic talk page, but I'm not interested in discussing anything pertaining to that here. This is about you adding unsourced material to three articles. I don't care if you think I'm rude. There are plenty more rude editors out there on Wikipedia that you're going to be in for a very rude awakening if you think I'm the worst—some of them are admins. I'm also not going to continue having a back-and-forth with someone who lacks almost any self-awareness, ability to take responsibility for the things they themselves have said, and who cannot seem to comprehend the very obvious fact that you have never been blocked on this account, as can be seen here. Talk about "screenshots" all you like—blocks can't be scrubbed from users' block logs, so you never have been blocked. End of story. I'm done commenting here. Bye. Ss112 01:00, 7 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Halsey discography. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. I suggest you stop changing what is a single from Manic now, or I will report you to an admin for persistently being disruptive and editing without consensus per WP:BRD.   Please stop adding unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did on Halsey discography. This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Ss112 12:00, 6 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

How about in future, instead of running around reverting the editor who rightfully reverted you for adding unsourced material, you add the reference in the first place? Adding sourced content is not optional, it's not a requirement. Ss112 17:01, 6 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
First of all, it was not the same reference that I put back—I filled it out better. I reverted you for your lazy copout reference and bad attitude—regarding your smart-alec comment "Gladly", you have a hide coming to my talk page claiming I'm the one being rude—and only adding several parameters (and laughably, using the quote= param when what Halsey was saying was already in the title of the webpage). I'm sorry that you think reverting you for adding unsourced material to Wikipedia constitutes a "power move", but you're mistaken. I'm politely asking you to start sourcing the content you add to Wikipedia the first time around so there won't be any of these problems. Don't get it twisted: It's not a request from me that you add references—Wikipedia demands you source the material you add. I repeat, adding a reference is not optional. You can and will be blocked if you persist in adding unsourced material. Read WP:V and stop playing the victim. Also, don't open a new thread on my talk page when I have already commented on yours. Thank you. Ss112 17:09, 6 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

March 2020

edit

Your recent editing history at Manic (album) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Ss112 22:54, 2 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Ad Orientem: I'm not getting through to this editor after repeated warnings. Two months later, and they are still attempting to restore the same edits to Manic (album) without establishing consensus on the article talk page, which they have been repeatedly asked to do, as it is a point of contention. I'm at my wit's end. They have received enough warnings, and they appear to be almost a single-purpose account dedicated to edits about the singer Halsey. Is there anything you can do about this? Hi Gjh fan. Please do not edit war. If an edit you made is reverted you need to discuss the matter on the talk page of the article and seek WP:CONSENSUS. See also WP:BRD. Thank you for your contributions to the project. -Ad Orientem (talk) 22:58, 2 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Ad Orientem: I have linked this editor to those repeatedly (see the above four or five sections). I just did again. They don't appear to care. They are still doing this three months into the year, and claiming in edit summaries that users who disagree should not "edit war" and come to their talk page to talk about it, which says they obviously have no interest in understanding what WP:BRD or WP:CONSENSUS are. I doubt they will give up. They will attempt to revert or argue when they next come online. The disruption has gone on, on and off, for months. Ss112 23:02, 2 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
Noted. @Gjh fan, you are treading on thin ice here. It is important that you take note of the messages and warnings being left on your talk page by concerned editors. Ignoring them and carrying on in the same pattern of editing is very likely to be seen as disruptive and can get you blocked. If you are unsure of our policies and guidelines or how to proceed you should ask someone for guidance. Unfortunately things have reached the point where people are clearly getting annoyed. Please take note of the above messages and warnings. This should be understood as a formal   Warning. -Ad Orientem (talk) 23:10, 2 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
@User:Ad Orientem wow, I was not even given a chance to respond on my own talk page before someone else completely falsified/misled the narrative. User Ss112 repeatedly ignored other user's attempts to work out the situation in talk page and despite more people supporting the opposing side, Ss112 never attempted to reach a consensus. Blaming me for the same thing they did is hypocritical. Also, when they say they attempted to let me know, their attempts at "letting me know" was by insulting me/harassing me and other users (you can check the other parts of my talk page where they did that after being asked to stop). I stopped changing the article for two months. However, definitive proof was released calling for grounds of changing the article, so I did so. I even asked users to chat if they had an issue and not start an edit war, but this person did not listen and did just that and I got blamed for it. I'm only just now responding because I just saw these notifications. I also left a message on the Manic talk page, because I was asked to do so. I am trying to be constructive and give valid evidence, and I have been met by nothing but harassment and edit wars by the same user who is now trying to play victim and mislead you. Please understand where I am coming from, I'm genuinely not trying to start anything, just doing what Wikipedians are allowed and this one user has twisted it into something much bigger than it should have been. Thank you for understanding. — User:Gjh fan 01:21 March 5, 2020

DYK for Kid Krow

edit

On 12 March 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Kid Krow, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the upcoming debut album Kid Krow by Conan Gray (pictured) grew out of his experiences as a mixed-race child in Texas? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Kid Krow. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Kid Krow), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Attribution history

edit

Hi, I noticed you blanked Dandelion (Gabbie Hanna Song and tagged it for deletion while copying the content over to Dandelion (Gabbie Hanna song).

For copyright reasons, we have to keep the attribution history of a page, so we can't delete contributions that are moved to another page. If you notice a page being created under the wrong title, you can move the page yourself or ask for technical help with the move.

See you around, – Thjarkur (talk) 19:04, 22 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:First Baptist Academy (Powell)

edit

Hello, Manic Maniac. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "First Baptist Academy".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 19:58, 11 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Elli Moore moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Elli Moore, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. Right now, the article is almost wholly sourced with primary and/or non-reliable sources.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Non-free rationale for File:HalseyCollabsEP.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:HalseyCollabsEP.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — JJMC89(T·C) 16:57, 6 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
