Request reason:

Dear Arbitration Committee, My name is Waenceslaus. I am addressing you with a kind plea to lift my topic-ban on longevity articles and block on the English Wikipedia effective since Aug. 16, 2015 and Nov. 24, 2015, respectively. Here is the link to the 2015 discussion: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Waenceslaus/Archive I took three years in abstinence from the Wikipedia edition after the block. I hope that after all this time, I could be given a second chance. Over the last three years, I have gained more knowledge in various fields of science, which I believe will allow us to benefit in editing the English version of Wikipedia. I also developed socially. If only you could consider my kind request positively, I promise to avoid bad behavior, joining in editorial wars etc., and I promise to always use balanced arguments in communication with other users of the English version of Wikipedia, so that my behaviour it will not cause any more doubts and/or concerns. Sincerely, Waenceslaus Waenceslaus (talk) 11:52, 21 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

If you wish to contact the arbitration committee, please follow the instructions at WP:ARBCOM. I cannot lift your topic ban. I also decline your unblock request because you have not addressed the reasons for your block. Yamla (talk) 14:23, 21 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • It should be pointed out that the block was for sockpuppetry (though there were other problems as well).
  • I take no position on the unblock, but the topic ban should remain until there's been at least 6 months of productive editing in other areas.

License tagging for File:OCR4uqL.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:OCR4uqL.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. edit

Please stop reverting my edit to the List of Norwegian supercentenarians page. I have every right to remove the table as the names have had "citation needed" tags in place in place since August 2011 . In over three years, no source has been added to these names. Please read WP:VERIFIABILITY which states that unsourced information can be removed. If you insist on reverting my edits, then you will need to add the relevant sources as per WP:BURDEN. If you cannot find sources, then the information does not belong on Wikipedia. CommanderLinx (talk) 16:55, 3 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

If you remove everything, no citations will ever be added. Yet the talbe has been developed by professionals. Talk to those, who contributed by the creation of it. Ask about their opinion before erasing their work. I only don't want to allow to this. What "right" do you have anyway? Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, which anybody can edit (and reedit). The goal of Wikipedia is to educate the society. What education will be with erasing the content of pages?

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of List of African supercentenarians, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://en.wiki2.org/wiki/List_of_African_supercentenarians.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Repost of List of supercentenarians from Africa

edit

A tag has been placed on List of supercentenarians from Africa requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this:   which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's discussion directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of recreating the page. Thank you. Your edits to List of Polish supercentenarians

edit

Do not re-add the table or remove tags unless you find sources that specifically state that "<name here> was/is oldest in Poland from death of <othernamehere>" as per WP:VERIFIABILITY and WP:ORIGINALRESEARCH. Note that a GRG list is not good enough nor is a birth record. The source must state what I mentioned earlier. I suggest you read those Wiki policies. CommanderLinx (talk) 09:00, 30 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

What don't you understand? The sources are not good enough for that table because they do not state "person X was oldest from death of person Y". I've told you this several times. Again, do NOT restore the table unless you have an appropriate source. My edits are not " destructive", WP:VERIFIABILITY clearly states that unsourced information may be removed. Do not restore the table or you may be blocked for disruptive editing. CommanderLinx (talk) 22:56, 31 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
Not sure why you need to be told multiple times, but unless you have a source that states "person X is the oldest living person in Poland from death of person Y" then the table does NOT belong on Wikipedia. Using a GRG table is not good enough. I strongly suggest you read WP:VERIFIABILITY and WP:ORIGINALRESEARCH. Do NOT restore this table until you have an appropriate source or I will have to report this to ANI. CommanderLinx (talk) 08:22, 1 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

This is to inform you that, as per the consensus in the ANI thread referred to above, you are now indefinitely topic-banned from all edits related to longevity, including (but not limited to) all edits at WP:WikiProject World's Oldest People and discussions about it, as well as articles in its scope. This sanction will be listed at WP:RESTRICT and can be appealed as outlined there. Fut.Perf. 09:25, 16 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

So you went right ahead and broke the topic ban with this [1] edit? I won't block you for this one just yet, but do take this as a final warning. Fut.Perf. 16:11, 16 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Since you are not a member of WP:WikiProject World's Oldest People, you have no right to decide who can and can't edit there. 67.191.53.129 (talk) 01:33, 17 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

User:Future Perfect at Sunrise, this is an assumption from your side. It happened so soon, that I still wasn't aware of the ban at the time I made the edit. By the way, my edit was in accordance with the truth, while the person, who reverted it, namely USer:CommanderLinx has input false information. Someone please check the news and revert his edit.

User:67.191.53.129, your information is incorrect. You can see here: (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_World%27s_Oldest_People#Participants), that I am a member of Wikipedia WOP project. If you have any complaint against me, I'd appreciate if we discussed it in an equal discussion user and user, not user and an anonymous IP. Otherwise, I can't continue the discussion with you. I hope you understand. Kind regards, Waenceslaus (talk) 08:47, 17 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi Waenceslaus, my edit wasn't actually to add false information, but to revert you because you are topic banned and shouldn't have actually touched the page in the first place. Someone else fixed up the page and removed the name so it's all sorted now. No need for me to discuss this further. CommanderLinx (talk) 09:42, 17 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
