Hello. In respect of Indus Valley Civilisation sites in wikipedia, like Manda, Jammu, Kunal,Haryana, the more appropriate map is India map, not state map,because, the distribution of Indus valley civilisation sites is more vividly depicted in Map of India.(not in state maps). Please think of this before altering Indian map, to State map in respect of Indus Valley Civilisation archeological sites. New Delhi Map

Hi there. I see that you have changed all references to the current SVG map of New Delhi to an older PNG version. This is considered a retrograde step and I'd like to understand your rationale. Because of your changes, the coordinates of all these locations are now incorrect and your edits have been reverted.  Philg88 ^♦talk 05:00, 22 July 2014 (UTC)

Basically you have bypassed talk by creating new module, which cant be understood by normal people. Why didnt you change the original template:location map India New Delhi, is it because you have to go to talk pag consensus? Instead of SVG or PNG format, see the content, that svg has 3 side black borders, and new delhi is smaller area than delhi state, no state boundary in svg file and all the deficiencies. That is retrograde. And you already know cordinations wont become incorrect by changing location map, only the new map is bigger in area. Thanks for the quick response. This has nothing to do with bypassing talk page consensus. The Wikipedia software framework is gradually migrating from templates to modules, and SVG is preferred over PNG, hence the new module. A map of Delhi is a map of Delhi and as such cannot be open to dispute - what's shown on the map is however, open to discussion, which can be done either on the module's talk page or via the map workshop. The origin of the SVG/PNG maps is different so that when the position on the map is calculated, it will be wrong if there is a mismatch between the map and the module. Per your comments, I will remove the black borders on the three sides of the SVG map and add the state boundary. Cheers,  Philg88 ^♦talk 06:32, 22 July 2014 (UTC)

You cant add state boundary in that map, as the area is small. That is beyond the area of your map, you are not getting this point so thinking coordinates are becoming incorrect. Anyway let me remove redundancy by redirecting Module:Location map/data/India New Delhi also, no point maintaining two maps for same place. Wantsallanger (talk) 06:54, 22 July 2014 (UTC)

I am getting the point and your behavior is bordering on disruptive. I have no idea of where you plucked the idea of "wikipedia basic standards" as applied to the map per your comment when reverting Jackmcbarn's edit to the module. Please read and understand the Wikipedia guidelines on graphic formats rather than arbitrarily deciding your own set of rules. Thanks.  Philg88 ^♦talk 08:17, 22 July 2014 (UTC)

Also, when you converted Template:Location map India Delhi to Module:Location map/data/India Delhi, you did it wrong. Next time, please follow the instructions at Template:Location map/doc/Converting map definition templates to modules. Jackmcbarn (talk) 17:27, 22 July 2014 (UTC)

I did only for sake of consistency, just following what you did with Template:Location map India New Delhi. I guess some procedure was followed now, anyway i am editing it again to make both consistent. Mostly it will be my last edit, and giving you free hand after your warning above.
