Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page WebCL has been reverted.
Your edit here to WebCL was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGD9NpipcrE) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page.   Hi there! Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! - theWOLFchild 12:44, 7 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your edits at Turing Award

edit

Hi @Webysther:

I'm hoping to understand your rationale behind your recent edits to Turing Award. For some context, the article frequently gets good-faith edits -- like yours -- which then get immediately reverted because they violate WP:Fair use, which is why I added the following warning:

Warning: before adding images here, please note that most image additions to this article are reverted! Under Wikipedia's policy of "fair use", copyrighted images are typically only valid for the article matching a person's name, and can't be copied over here, unless express permission is explicitly granted. For further explanation, see WP:Fair use. If you have any questions or would like to help with sourcing free-use images in the public domain, please start a discussion on the talk page.

My question is, did you see/read this warning text, or did you not see it and just deleted it? If so, how can I make the warning text more clear?

I really hate to see users continue to have their hard work reverted, so my hope was that the warning would make it obvious that this should not be done.

Thanks for your input in advance! Caleb Stanford (talk) 18:39, 18 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi, actually I don't figure out that the people images missing are in this warning, for me the use is fair use because is a simple list, but now is clear the main article about the person is the only the location allowed. Sorry for the inconvenience. Webysther (talk) 18:55, 18 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
