Mirrors

edit

  Thanks for contributing to the article Felix Raj ‎. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Most mirrors are clearly labeled as such, but some are in violation of our license and do not provide the correct attribution. Please help by adding alternate sources to the article you edited! If you need any help or clarification, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. Thank you. Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Wiki orb2. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Captain Calm (talk) 13:34, 30 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Soosai Nayagam moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Soosai Nayagam, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Captain Calm (talk) 13:50, 30 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Draft:Father Soosai Nayagam

edit

I have deleted the Draft:Soosai Nayagam draft and all of the numerous redirects you've created moving your article around today. I've also had to delete Draft:Father Soosai Nayagam as it was a copyright violation. If you try to publish either of these pages, they will certainly be deleted and you will likely be blocked for disruptive editing, please allow your draft article to be reviewed and make any changes required and requested.

Please also note the following

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Father Soosai Nayagam

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Father Soosai Nayagam, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello Wiki orb2. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Wiki orb2. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Wiki orb2|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Please also note the policy on multiple accounts which generally does not allow the usage of multiple accounts.NJD-DE (talk) 01:48, 24 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

As previously advised, your edits, such as the edit you made to John Felix Raj, give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Wiki orb2, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Wiki orb2|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. NJD-DE (talk) 22:31, 25 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

This is not a paid service.I am a Ex-Student of St. Xaviers University Kolkata. And for the same reason I want people to know about my university and about our Vice Chancellor Father Felix Raj. So I collect different materials & links from Internet and try to improve the article with frequent edits.I am new to wikipedia so please guide me and let me know how can I make improvements in these two articles without violating the rules and regulations here.I am also planning to create profile for other teachers and professors of our University.Please let me know if that is possible here. Wiki orb2 (talk) 07:20, 27 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi Wiki orb2, I didn't realize your message here until now, sorry for the late reply.
Based on the similarity to usernames who previously worked on the Felix Raj draft, and the similarity to the company name who created his website, I don't think you are fully telling the truth. Also, there's quite some similarity between the first version of the article and the drafts...
Aside from the policies/guidelines on paid editing and conflict of interest, please have a look at the notability guidelines for academics: WP:PROF. You might realize that professors integral to the University, are not notable in a Wikipedia sense. – NJD-DE (talk) 22:02, 7 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Yes.There are similarity because It was me only who is taking care of his wikipedia profile.I have made several edits here.And you are right, its my company where I work has made the website for him.If you want me to mention it here I can do it.But please let me know where and how to do it.Wiki orb2 (talk)— Preceding unsigned comment added by Wiki orb2 (talkcontribs) 11:51, 15 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Please familiarise yourself with Wikipedia's policy on paid contributions and make the appropriate disclosures, e.g. by posting template {{Paid}} on your user page at User:Wiki orb2 in e.g. this form: {{paid|user=Wiki orb2|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. – NJD-DE (talk) 13:27, 15 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

  Hello, I'm The Banner. I noticed that you recently removed content from John Felix Raj without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. This is a false allegation against the concerned person so I removed it. Wiki orb2 (talk) 14:06, 12 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
I am just trying to remove the false allegation news from the page that I came across today. Supreme Court had also refused to entertain plea of professor dismissed from St.Xavier's University over instagram picture. Please read the article below. I can contact the concerned authority and can even upload the supreme court verdict here if need. If supreme court has proven it wrong then why are you people spreading this wrong news across internet.

  Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at St. Xavier's University, Kolkata, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. The controversy is well sourced. No need to whitewash this. You can file an edit request on the talk page of the article to add the judgement to the case. The Banner talk 09:28, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
I understand that you want to protect your employer but your latest addition to John Felix Raj was not neutral at all. So I have reverted that edit. Your addition sounded more like character assassination than a factual description of the case. Please stop with that. The Banner talk 08:43, 18 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Case on noticeboard Conflict of Interest

edit

For your information: I have opened a case about your editing on Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest/Noticeboard#John_Felix_Raj. Your edits are clearly not neutral and often incorrect. The Banner talk 12:31, 20 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Why do you think that my editing are "not neutral". The last edit which I had done was only the verdict of the case in High Court and Supreme court for which I have the legal documents from the court as proof one of which is uploaded in Government portals. Why do you find there paragraphs to be "not neutral" as there are no extra lines written neither any opinion is given about any of the parties concerned. I had added the following two paragraphs which was removed by you:
"Finally, the said faculty member filed a Writ Petition bearing WPA No. 20837/2022 in the Calcutta High Court which was dismissed on the first day of hearing dated 15.09.2022 as “being not in form” as no justification has been shown by the petitioner.
The said faculty member filed Special Leave Petition (Civil) bearing Diary No. 12808/2023 in the Supreme Court which was “dismissed as withdrawn” on the first day of hearing dated 10.07.2023."

I just wanted to know what is the problem with these two paragraphs when I am supporting them with enough proofs that are available online. Wiki orb2 (talk) 07:31, 26 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Multiple times you have tried to remove the controversy altogether, as if it did not happen. But there are enough sources to proof otherwise. And as far as I read the legal sources, the cases is not dismissed on content but not heard due to technical reasons (some paperwork not in order). So the case is not over.
