Seeing you a lot
[edit source]Having seen you at over 5 different unrelated talk pages, I am almost convinced that we are sister souls. Feel free to hit me up if you ever need anything... NorthernWinds ❄️ (talk) 14:58, 24 June 2026 (UTC)

Goals to complete before this is archived:
[edit source]- Get Draft:List of islands inside of lakes in Mexico published
- Make Draft:List of islands inside of lakes in Georgia (country)
- Make Draft:List of islands inside of lakes in Georgia (state).
I do not (necessarily) want help with any of these, I’m just putting this here as a reminder. In solidarity Wikipedian12512 (Talking is fine | contribs) 01:44, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
Edits to Plant
[edit source]Hi, I've been through your sequence of edits to this article, and while I haven't felt the need to undo everything, that would have been a lot easier. Instead, I've checked each one and altered, edited, or partially reverted whatever needed to be fixed. There were errors of biology; small but ugly errors of markup, like "bryophytes" in place of "bryophyte"; and infelicities of expression, like switching to the passive voice when the active voice was correctly in use. In short, while I've retained what I could of your work, much of it has had to be undone just to maintain the quality of the article. If you believe you are just copy-editing, then you need to take more care to avoid changing the sense (introducing errors of biology), in particular. As for the copy-editing, I found most of it unnecessary and some of it, as mentioned, actually counter-productive. All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 06:58, 30 June 2026 (UTC)

- I didn't say I was going to get the brain-eating amoebae, and they're too expensive anyways. Now if they weren't expensive, that would be a different story. Nephellium (talk) 12:43, 20 July 2026 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: List of islands inside of lakes in Mexico (July 25)
[edit source]
- group notability: sources must discuss the items in the list as a whole, rather than just verifying that the individual items exist;
- encyclopedic purpose: avoid cross-categorisations, such as "List of X of Y", unless sources explicitly discuss this intersection as a distinct subject;
- Selection criteria: an unambiguous, objective definition of what is included to distinguish the list from a directory.
Next steps
- Edit Draft:List of islands inside of lakes in Mexico to address the points above, making sure to publish any changes.
- When you are ready to resubmit your draft for review, click the Resubmit button.
- If you do not edit your draft in the next 6 months, it may be deleted.

Good article nominations RfC
[edit source]Hi Wikipedian12512,
There is an ongoing Request for Comment (RfC) at Wikipedia:Good article nominations/August 2026 RfC, which you may be interested in because in the past year, you have nominated or reviewed more than one good article nomination. This message has also been sent to all subscribers to the Good Article Gazette. The RfC contains many proposals (33 at the time of writing), which are split into the following categories: nominators, reviewers, reviews, volunteer roles, reviewing initiatives, and others. However, you are more than welcome to add any proposals of your own that you wish to put to the community.
By the end of September, all the proposals will have been closed by an uninvolved editor, either as a consensus for one of the options or with no consensus. At this point, editors will be invited again to develop these proposals into coherent policy and implement them.
Thank you for your contributions to the good articles project, and I look forward to your input! (in solidarity), JacobTheRox(talk|contributions) 16:03, 11 August 2026 (UTC)
Organized Labour September Editing Event
[edit source]
You're invited to join the Organized Labour community editing event, a cross-wiki event taking place throughout September 2026!
The campaign brings together Wikimedians interested in improving coverage of organised labour, workers, trade unions, and labour history. We have confirmed collaborations with Wikipedia language editions in English, Dutch, Persian, Serbo-Croatian and French. If you want to add other language editions or other wiki projects you are strongly encouraged to do so! This event spans geography and languages!
This is a one-time invitation. You're receiving it because you previously signed a petition related to Wiki Workers United (WWU). We hope you'll join us!
