Oakland, California

edit

I reverted your edit to Oakland, California, and wanted to discuss it with you. Please note that single-digit ordinals are written out, per MOS:ORDINAL. Also, the names of countries are not linked, per MOS:OL. Also, links should be made to the most direct target, such as Alameda County, California; there is no need to break this into two separate links. If you are able to re-check your previous edits that would be great. Thanks for your understanding! Magnolia677 (talk) 11:41, 16 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Killed yourself

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Killed yourself requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Redirects_for_discussion/Log/2023_March_29#Killed_yourself. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. edit

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:38, 28 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Recent edits

edit

I have reverted most of your recent edits. Please do not link country names, per MOS:OL. Do not add a link for both a city and a county, per MOS:GEOLINK. Also, numbers 10 and under are spelled out. Are you able to revert your edits? Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 14:08, 20 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Also, when adding categories, do not add a parent category, when there is already a more specific category (you unnecessarily added "candy" to a number of articles). This is explained at WP:CATSPECIFIC. In other words, please take a moment to figure out what you are doing, before you make the same "helpful" edit to hundreds of articles. Thank you.   Please stop. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, as you did at Franklin, Tennessee, you may be blocked from editing. There is a Wikipedia Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. You have been cautioned about adding numbers and over linking. Please stop. The article List of places in the United States ending in -ville has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Trivia.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ville, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Dansville, New York. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 17:52, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm JalenFolf. I noticed that you recently removed all content from Brandon Traywick. Please do not do this. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. As a rule, if you discover a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If a page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored.   Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:
