Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Hammersoft (talk) 02:24, 6 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

My account has been blocked indefinitely due to coping my content from another website which is considered plagiarism ... I hope you unblock my account so I can edit articles on Wikipedia to help others, and I promise I won't repeat that action again

Decline reason:

No, this is not why you were blocked. Please reread WP:COI, WP:PAID, WP:PROMO, and WP:USERNAME. Yamla (talk) 21:27, 6 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Concur with Yamla. You were not blocked for a copyright violation. You were blocked for violating the username policy, specifically WP:ISU. Further, your account was also being used for promotion, as evidenced by your former userpage at User:Windsor University Washington DC which was deleted as unambiguously promotional in nature. Wikipedia is not a means of promotion, nor are we an online guide to universities. If you wish to contribute to Wikipedia in subject areas not connected to your (apparent) employer, you are welcome to request a username change to a name that reflects that is just one person using it, and not the name of an organization or one of its departments. --Hammersoft (talk) 00:37, 7 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
