Hello, WizdomT!

Welcome to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Hi WizdomT, I'm Encoded and I've been assigned as your mentor. Welcome to Wikipedia!

About half of new Wikipedia accounts receive a mentor chosen randomly from a list of volunteers. It just means I'm here to help with anything you need! We need to have all kinds of people working together to create an online encyclopedia, so I'm glad you're here.

Below, I've attached a whole host of information regarding how Wikipedia works. You don't have to read it all now, but I'd recommend remembering this message and coming back to it if you're unsure on anything. You can also send me any questions you may have, and I'll be happy to help! I highly recommend doing the tutorial before you start editing, it's incredibly useful in helping you get started.

 Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

If you need assistance with anything, have any questions, or just want to say hello please feel free to send me a message, I'm always happy to help :) Happy editing! Encoded  Talk 💬 19:35, 24 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Dcheagle. I noticed that you made a comment on the page Talk:Oklahoma State Cowboys football that didn't seem very civil, so it may have been removed. Wikipedia is built on collaboration, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Dcheagletalkcontribs 08:36, 11 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please don’t use sock puppets to continue to push a personal narrative. WizdomT (talk) 13:07, 11 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Score stacking in the bowl Table

edit

Which scores were stacking? I should be able to fix it, but I'm not seeing any of the scores stacking. Dcheagletalkcontribs 07:56, 13 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

It appears when you’re on mobile, I’m guessing you’re on desktop. It’s because the width of the “score” column is narrower than some of the scores and it causes some to stack. Not a big deal just looks a bit wonky WizdomT (talk) 08:06, 13 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
That's a long-standing issue with mobile and the way tables look, so I can't fix that, but I did fix the ref note you added, so that should offset the column a bit. Dcheagletalkcontribs 08:10, 13 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yea it looks way better thanks, on my end every score is now in a line except the Fiesta Bowl but that’s only because it has the OT attached. WizdomT (talk) 08:12, 13 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Interesting that other users can blatantly break rules and not get any sort of response. When you’re a terminally online wikipedia mod I suppose you tend to support your own kind though WizdomT (talk) 14:43, 21 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
