There is nothing to edit. The information is useful to a lot of people (mostly visitors) who seek authentic sports entertainment with an unique cultural twist. For those who already know Hawaii Championship Wrestling from exposure into Japan through Samurai TV and various Pro Wrestling magazines, etc...always look for current roster information. Therefore, this list is a big help for those who seek this information. For further information, they can always access the "official" website. There are thousands of pro wrestling fans who travel to Hawaii on a regular basis. Perhaps you don't realize that Pro Wrestling is indeed one of the many "made in Hawaii" products that people seek from around the world.

As a matter of fact, did you know that Japanese Puroresu "strong style" originated from Hawaii? It was Antonio Inoki's mentor Riki Dozan who went to Hawaii and went back to Japan with Hawaiian MMA techniques (most famous is the Lua, art of bone breaking), which ancient Hawaiian Warriors first used. He took these techniques back and stylized them into what is known today as the Japanese "strong style", which goes hand in hand with the term "TOUKON" or "Fighting Spirit".

Perhaps to you, the promotion and it's wrestlers are seeminly non-notable, but as Hawaiian history has it, wrestling in Hawaii was originally the sport of the Ali'is or the royalty. One of them being King Kamehameha, and thusly HCW honors the King and has the only traditionally "blessed" titles in the history of Hawaiian Pro Wrestling, which bear his name and likeness. The Kamehameha Heritage Hawaiian World Heavyweight Title, and the Kekulike Tag Titles were indeed "blessed" by the authentic "Order Of Kamehameha" in a private, sacred ceremony, witnessed only by Reggie Parks (the master belt maker), Ed Chuman (NWA), Bill Apter (current AWA GM), Masahiro Chono (NJPW), Teruo Kawana (NJPW), a WWE photographer for RAW Magazine, and the HCW Hawaiian roster. HCW's slogan, "Feel The MANA" symbolizes the fighting spirit of Kamehameha which represents the Hawaiian spirit, or "MANA".

I see the above commentary but do not see any current effort to close the above page, which is the page to which Hawaii Championship Wrestling appears to redirect. --Kukini 06:27, 9 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
